Amazing Vacation!

We spent 5 days here with a group of 12 friends and had an amazing experience. The staff is what sets this place apart from the others. Alex, Daniel San ,Naomi and Jesus kept the days full of activities of fun and laughs. While Omar, Diego, Filiberto, Gustavo, & Dora made sure we always had a drink in hand if needed. The mudslides and cucumber martinis were incredible. All around the place is amazing and we look forward to making this an annual trip.Show less

Honeymoon Trip

My husband and I had an amazing trip and stay at El Dorado Maroma! The resort is beautiful and the food is great! We highly recommend Papito's for the breakfast and lunch buffet and Kiyoko for dinner! Our room was the jacuzzi suite with infinity pool and it was amazing! Beautiful room and beautiful views! The staff also makes the experience great especially the activity guys, Alex, Jesus, Daniel, Omar, DJ, and Chris. They really get you involved in kayaking, beach volleyball, and pool volleyball. We also had a great experience with Manuel who helps get you set up with chairs and cabanas on the beach. He goes out of his way to make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. This was our first all inclusive experience and it was definitely a great place for our first all inclusive vacation and would highly recommend this resort!

Amazing Resort

The staff at El Dorado was awesome, Daniel, Alex, Mimi, and Jesus we're great, they kept us busy all week on the beach with volleyball, kayaking, and snorkeling. Filiberto, Omar, Gustavo, and Diego kept the mudslides and cucumber martinis coming at the swim up bar.Would definitely recommend this resort.

Another Amazing Trip- Nine Trips and Counting

Just packing up from our ninth stay "home" at El Dorado Maroma as exotic members. We had another amazing stay. As always the views of the sea, food, and staff is what keeps us coming back again and again.Check in wth exotic was a breeze. They really stepped up their butler team. Erick and Oscar were honestly the best, most attentive butlers we've had at Azul Sensatori, Seaside and Maroma. Outstanding! Erick went out of his way to look up special information for us--those pillows and mattresses are amazing. They arranged special surprises throughout the week for our anniversary and "just because" and always checked in multiple times a day. They were fantastic. Huge shout out to the dynamic duo Diego and Rene that attended to our drinking needs both at the bar, near our swim up suite, and around the pool! They're awesome. I'm sure many workers don't get the recognition they deserve , but I think Feliciano (spelling?) who tends to the pool should get some recognition! Each day he was swimming, scrubbing, skimming and cleaning the pool. He was one heck of a worker and I made sure to tell him and get his name. The food is always fantastic. Mio is still one of my favorites and it was just amazing. Would love to see the spinach soup return.. we had that during our first anniversary seven years ago and wish there was some type of cream soup on the menu because Maroma's soups are always excellent! Carribean grill's coconut shrimp and apple crumble and delightful and Lima Limon has unique and tasty options. Wasn't a fan of their dessert offering but I probably should've skipped it anyway! Despite Kiyoko and Sabores being renovated, the dinners we had at Pepitos themed nights were great. Loved the self-service sushi which was fantastic. Still wished we had some aspects of our meal served to us because we felt we ate so fast and it was over. Dessert was offered and served. A few recommendations:As exotic members, we pay a lot for our membership and have a few perks. I think having the option to go to the new restaurant over the water free of charge for one meal would be a great perk for Maroma exotic guests! Another recommendation is to have mini-fridges in all the rooms opposed to the coolers..which didn't keep tequila bottles or bottles of water that cold. We also think the room service food could be a tad more warm. Tater tots often sent cold. Although the food was always on time and very good!We didn't get to many activities after dinner, but the water show at Mio's pool was something I enjoyed in Tuesday. Very cool! It's always sad to leave, but knowing our next stay will be next summer makes it a little easier to leave.Adios,Maroma

It's Perfect

This is the type of place that when you click "submit payment" online you hope is worth it, and it is- It is and so much more. The location is private and gorgeous. The beaches are beautiful and secluded. The pools are sleek and elegant. The rooms are regal and beds are huge and soft. The drinks are cold, sweet, and if you want, strong. But that's not what makes this place what it is...It's the staff. Go there and I will guarantee you that you will see guest hugging staff, it happens all the time here. Not a thank you, or gracias, or handshake, you will see hugs. The guest hug the staff because during their stay they get to know these people and quickly realize the staff are the root of their enjoyment of the resort. It's that good. Go there, try it. I will name names, but I hate doing this, because I am certainly going to forget some people: Perfecto (Bar 24), Rene (Main pool bar), Dorian (Lima Limon), Alex - nicknamed "BOOM" or "Are You For Scuba" (Activities), DanielSon (Activities), Mimi (Activities), Vielman (Main pool bar), Senior DJ (Joe's Bar), Miguel (Caribbean Grill), and the best guy in housekeeping, Fabio. I didn't write these names down, I remember these people, and won't forget these people, and look forward to seeing them again. Go there, enjoy yourself, enjoy the people.
