The resort is surrounded with the beautiful landscape of Cancun and there are rooms that are fashioned with swim up suites. The resort boasts incredible service and polite staff. There are also plenty of a la carte restaurants that not only have a great selection in food, but service as well. A great option for couples wanting a quiet place to relax. The staff really do make this resort

A superb resort and great food options and exceptional staff at all levels made this a holiday never to forget. The grounds are immaculately kept . Yes there is a false reef in the water made up of blocks and bags to protect the beach but as an eco friendly resort it does offer protection of the natural reef and they will be removed or will sink into the sand eventually . It did offer some gentle swimming areas due to preventing the waves crashing in .A special mention to Ivan the pool butler and Manuel and Jaqueline at santa fe for their excellent service . Claudia our concierge Was friendly and helpful whenever we needed anythingThis resort strives to make your holiday as complete as it could be.Having been upgraded from the premium swim up suite [room 404 ] to casita swim up suite for last two days [beautiful room 2818 ] we felt room 404 was more private . The casitas area was more rowdy due to the swim up casita connecting to the swim up pool bar and pool

Very relaxing well kept hotel, would go back

Staff are fairly attentive, the grounds are very well taken care of and stunning. Lots of good place's to eat, drinks are nice though the cocktails could be better, however I understand they are under pressure to make drinks quickly due to the shear amounts of punters vs waiting staff. Everyone is "Excellentay" when you ask them! bit of a ongoing joke with the entertainment staff but I think they are told to say they are excellent if you are asked how you are, anyone from the grounds keepers to the chefs. Breakfast is very good, Go to "the spot" for breakfast i recommend. Italian other super posh restaurants are a few km away in the castisas side of the complex but there are golf buggies that can take you, we just walked everywhere to soak up the scenery and burn off some calories. There is a gym on site and Spa, though the spa was like 8000 peso for me and my partner, considering if you go into playa del carmen you can get the same for like 2-3000 peso's you are being ripped off if you do massages at the hotel itself. Look on trip advisor and book taxi's and look at how much you should be paying as one day the bell boys ordered us a taxi and they wanted $80 to take us to Puto Morelos which cost us $30 to go the day before, needless we told them to jog on! Dont get ripped off because you are a tourist, know how much you should be paying! All in all i would definitely go back, hotel was nice, clean, good food, entertainment wasn't great but I am yet to stay anywhere that the evening entertainment is great to be honest and I have been around the world a few places.

The food is so worth it

For the price we found online we went to the hotel with not so high expectations, but it was an amazing surprise our stay int this hotel. We read in others reviews that the beach was very disappointing, and it is so true. Is like it didn't had a beach and they made it. But... We rent a car and just like 30 mins away is the maroma adventure. Is a beach club and you can go in for just like 5 dlls p/p and enjoy that beautiful beach. Is right where the dorado maroma is. I highly recommend the stay in an ocean view room. It was so perfect. The place is beautiful and you have a lot of activities through the day. And the food is amazing! We went, ask for a reservation, and while we waited went to the bar and have a pre-drink before dinner. The shows in the nights are good too. I think it has to do with the fact that the hotel was full so there was a lot of people wanting to dance. You can rent bicycles or play ping pong or giant chess or just relax! It was great for us. I didn't give the hotel an excellent score because of the beach and also because I feel there was a lack of the cleaning outside the hotel (some dirty dishes and cups that stayed outside some rooms for like 2 days) but the staff was very nice, and the hotel was very pretty and well taking care of. I would recommend it if you want to relax.

Pure honest review

Well 1st of all what a lovely and friendly resort a very unique experience food was average waiting time for a table would be a bit of a joke sometimes we would get told 45 minutes so worked out we would have to go downearlier to save the wait more luck of not waiting at 7pm whereas u go down at 8/9pm wait is ages, slightly frustrating when you've paid all that money to have to wait to eat.jojos was our favourite the service and food was top notch breakfast was our favourite here can't beat the view!health bar defo one to visit my fav just a shame the staff are very rood here they look like they don't really enjoy their job which isn't nice to see, food and drink their was brill.shame about the beach I love the beach but the sea didn't do it for me,went to cancun for the day and that's what u call a beach! Entertainment was good choice of food and restaurants .pools good yet had to send my fiancé down very early so could get a spot with sun all day, would go at about 3pm my spot so would then move to the beach.staff bar staff entertainment team concierge bell boy receoption staff etc wonderful.always worth tipping them 1st thing and they will come back all day, shouldn't be like that but it is,one day I didn't have any money with my my fiancé went back to the room with it so I couldn't tip he did not offer me a drink once because I couldn't tip him.rooms a nice bed is amazing ,lighting in the room needs to be brighter, also most of the restaurants was freezing because of the air con which put me off as it's warmer outside so tip to anybody bring a Cardy for those, wouldn't worry about dress code too much my fiancé wore shorts every night and noProbs Overall brilliant resort would come back but would like to try somewhere different in that area. Also coco bongos is a must!!!!

This was our fourth and probably last visit to this resort. Although the grounds and some staff were exceptional (namely Guillermo, Beach Butler in Sec. 26), we did not get the room we requested until the third day. The breakfasts were marginal except Cocotol and there was no attention to detail. The grounds are beautiful but management was hard to find. We also had to endure several sales pitches from staff for massages, condo purchases and time shares which was very annoying. Not what we expect for the price. Disappointing. We keep trying to like the place, but they can't figure out customer service.
