Our OpinionA very unique 5-star hotel. The Mayakoba steps away from the conventional resort setting, situating near the forest portion of the resort grounds, rather than the beach. While it does divert from the usual resort scenery, many applaud the beautiful grounds. The resort has excellent guest services and great food. This is the perfect destination for those who are looking for a unique getaway to the Riviera Maya.
This place is one of the best designed and planned properties, I have ever visited. The casual chick environment makes your experience laid back and relaxing with a touch of elegance. The place is very friendly, however the staff is not as skilled or attentive as in other Mayakoba locations. If you are looking for an easy going, no fuss, high quality holiday, visit this hotel. The kitchen is outstanding in every restaurant of the property. The beach is absolutely stunning. I lovely spot, it's worth your visit.
We had an amazing stay at the resort Oct 7-10. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Upon arrival, the wonderful Linda at the front desk told us of an upgrade to our room - a beach area casita with butler. The room was fantastic - we loved being located near the beach (which is heaven itself) and had a chance to dine at Las Brisas more frequently. Chef Eric and his team made our dining experience one to remember. Every meal was delicious, and the Chef made time to visit us at our table and spoiled us with wonderful food presentations sent to our room. We were surprised and delighted with champagne and strawberries, a cheese plate, sweets, etc. on separate occasions. The bartending staff and the hand-crafted cocktails are a wonderful element within the restaurants. We visited with Sheila at the Lobby Lounge every evening - it was the perfect way to start the night and she prepared something new and delicious for us to drink each time. This was our third stay and we adore this resort. The facilities, pools, beach are all impeccable, but the staff really makes this place special. Everyone from housekeeping services (who surprised us with a huge bouquet of fresh flowers in the room!) to front desk to bell staff to facilities staff to food service staff - there wasn't a single person that wasn't smiling, friendly, and willing to assist. We are planning to return in the spring with additional family and friends - we know they will all love a vacation at the Fairmont Mayakoba!
I have NO complains, the hotel is perfect so big that maybe is one of its weakness. Taking that in mind and if you are open to wait for golf carts to drive you to and from your room almost everywhere, the place is magic. I do not know if I would pay that price again but IT IS A MUST to visit at least one time.
We stayed there for a week and we really had a great time!! The hotel is beautiful! The food is also excellent and the service too! I would Like to thank Nayelli Pacheco from the gift shop as she was very helpful, pacient and friendly! Thanks for your great job!!
I just finished a week's visit to your property. My two daughters and their families treated me to your great hotel in honour of my 80th birthday. Your attending staff were first class in every way.In particular I want to single out Alberto Morales. We were fortunate to have him as our butler. He looked after all our needs-- without question an exceptional professional who displayed a most sincere happy personality. Your company has a fine ambassador! Please convey my gratitude to Alberto.
