Our Opinion

The Hidden Beach Resort is a great luxury getaway destination suited for adults and couples. It is situated near the El Dorado Beach Resort, so the beach area is shared amongst both hotels. There are plenty of beach side activities to do during the day. The sand is a little grainy and the beach area isn't well suited for swimming due to the presence of coral. However, it's still a great place to sun bathe. The suites are amazing and well-maintained. Good food options with regards to the buffet and a la carte options. Amazing and attentive staff.

Amazing Vacation

After staying at the Sensimar Suites for the first four days of our vacation, we decided to upgrade to the Hidden Beach Resort next door for the final 3 days of our holiday and had the most amazing time. We had previously visited Hidden Beach resort on a day pass and enjoyed the experience so much we decided to upgrade for a longer period this time around. If you have never tried a naturist holiday before this is the resort to free yourself into naturism. All of the clientele are extremely comfortable with themselves and their partners, which makes for a fantastic environment to bathe nude and become totally confident with your own inner self. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to engage in conversation and make you feel welcome. All of the staff members deliver outstanding service, Siary the entertainment co-ordinator is the most bubbly, kind and inclusive young lady, Alberto & Esperanza looks after your daily drinks around the pool, both are generous and accommodating, working so hard all day long with a constant smile, the waiters, chefs and all support staff could not offer a superior service. Drinks flowed freely, but there was no drunkenness at all, everyone just enjoying their vacation and quality time spent together. We attended the Glow Night party on our first night which was great fun! Around 10 couples arrived all ready for the naked body painting, cocktails and late night dancing, the designs by the artist were awesome, who could ask for more!! (well maybe 7 nights a week). We missed the Lingerie Night which was a great shame. To take your spouse out, dressed in Lingerie within a safe fun environment is simply great fun. I think most couples never have the chance to dress up and enjoy this easy going fun event in any home location. The food was perfect, lots of choice and excellent quality, try Mia Casa in the new restaurant area, excellent, good quality food and outstanding service. The Culinarium in the evening was just a pleasureWe visited the Driftwood Restaurant for Lunch on several occasions for the excellent Shrimp Skewers, Salmon & Sea Bass, must mention Silvano & Omar too, excellent service with a big friendly Mexican smiles. We cannot recommend this resort enough, only comment would be that it is a shame there is not a slightly younger clientele of naturist party goers as the resort is sleepy by 9/10pm. This resort has everything to offer, just a little more youthful (I mean in your 40s) clientele would perhaps make the resort perfect in everyway, ensuring an enhanced attendance to the evening events that take so much arranging and preparation by the staff. Our last thanks go to Daniel (Sensimar Receptionist) for arranging our seamless upgrade and transfer to the “brighter side”. Now checking reservations for next year, see you there!!

WOW! We just returned and want to go back!

Our first time at a resort like HBR and we are so glad we went! The staff and service level is the best we have ever experienced! It was amazing that so many of the staff learned and remember your name from the first introductions! We quickly became friends with several of the staff like the cook - bartender - pool/beach cocktail waitress. They quickly learn what you like and take excellent care of anything you need. The food was excellent at HBR and the adjacent included "clothed" resort restaurants and if you don't like whats on the menu they will try to make you whatever you want! We started out in a second story room then upgraded when a ground floor swim up room opened up (it was worth the upgrade). There is something about being au natural that frees people to be more friendly. Virtually every guest would introduce themselves and we made several new friends that we would spend time poolside or out to dinner or theme nights with and are staying in touch with for future trips. On the average age questions - we are in our late 40's and were a bit on the younger side - I would think the average age was 50's & 60's. On nudity - virtually everyone is nude the whole time at the pool or on the beach - most women wear wraps or bottoms for meals and virtually everyone fully clothed for dinner (although you don't have to be). We made it to 2 theme nights which were both fun - our favorite was the body painting "glow" theme night - about 20 nude guests got some really cool body paint designs done by an artist with an airbrush and then danced under the glow lights and had cocktails till about 12 (which was a the latest we stayed up!) There was several very cool entertainment nights during dinner that were very entertaining provided by HBR. We did a couples massage which was a bit pricey but a great massage - you can do those right on the beach or at the resort spa next door. The beach is difficult to swim without tough feet or beach walkers as the bottom is rocky but we spent our days at the pool or beach day beds so not a biggie. A great trip with new friends and a strong desire to go back.

Country club experience

The staff is absolutely incredible. Every staff member makes you feel like you are their special guest. They are friendly, hard working and have a great attitude. The small hotel is a place of tranquil rest and tropical feel. A perfect place to spend your holiday.

Presidential Suite was FABULOUS!

I spent Christmas at HBR from the 18th til the 27th of December. It was my third time there this year and 5th time overall. And I just made my reservation for Christmas 2017.Some people complain about high prices but I'm willing to pay more when the value is warranted. The Presidential Suite at HBR is WORTH IT! I only wish I had been able to share it with someone...I was there single. The PS is at the far end of the 1100 block of rooms where the old Moonlight used to be. I thought I might be feeling far removed from the hub of the resort...the pool....but I didn't feel that way at all since it sits a little closer to the beach than the rest of the swim-up rooms...and from my patio I had a full view of the pool area just like a swim-up. I didn't measure the square feet of the two story, free-standing structure, but I'm pretty sure it's 4 or 5 times larger than the swim-up rooms. A you walk in from the front door you're hit with a beautiful uncomplicated interior that allows the ocean view to be the star of the show. While the fabrics are luxe and the oversized furniture comfortable, the interior is still understated and clean. There is a roomy water closet off the foyer so that guests can use the facilities without going upstairs to your master bathroom. An alcove with a bar stocked with glassware, liquor and a coffee maker is conveniently placed off the main living area. A kitchenette with a fridge, sink and microwave is on one wall with a glass dining table and four upholstered chairs in front of it. The living room includes a media cabinet with flat screen TV and DVD player. The sliders to the patio are massive and open up to bring the outdoors in to the room. The patio includes two chaises, a big padded ottoman and your own dip pool with Bahama shelf and deep area. Up the curved stairway is the master suite that boasts plenty of room/storage for everything you brought with you AND marvelous views. The soaring ceiling has a light with a drum shade..no need for a fan. The bed is placed so that you may lay in bed and look straight ahead at the ocean...that's the only bed in the resort that does that. There is another wall-mounted flat-screen TV above a writing desk but no DVD player upstairs. There is also a two seat table a against the pony wall of the staircase and a large storage armoire in the corner. The upstairs terrace is a lovely place to relax at sunset since you have a great view in three directions. The bathroom is HUGE! Double raised bowl sinks, large mirrors, plenty of drawers in the vanity made me a very happy guy. The closet boasts three sets of doors perfect for all your clothing and stowing your luggage. The water closet is roomy and has two small windows for cross-breeze. The SHOWER....OHH BABY! A glass door separates the indoor shower with adjustable hand spray and rain head from the bathroom. Another glass door separates the indoor shower from the outdoor shower...it's open air and is plenty big for two or more people :)There's also a tub with vista windows out to the ocean....I wish I had taken a bath. You may think the price that Karisma charges for the PS is a little high but it's so worth it. I'm booking it again for next December! See photos...more than the three on their website. The holiday vacationers I met on this particular trip were even more fun than the other's I've met on previous trips. The reason is that they've all been going there for years at the same time and they all knew each other...I joined an instant party of old friends the moment I arrived. The staff, as usual, were wonderful, helpful and welcomed new and returning guests as if greeting family or old friends. A special mention to the gals (and Daniel) who make everything seem so effortless....America, Claudia, and Alejandra in the lobby and Esperanza constantly reading my mind as she serves drinks all day by the pool/beach. The social activities have improved and theme nights were will executed. That band Christmas evening was excellent! The food was stellar and I ate at my usual haunts (Mia Casa and Klay Talay). I only got four massages this trip and they were all wonderful...three of them were at Naay Spa and the other was at the new Naay Spa satellite location at the new El Dorado building next door...I prefer the Naay Spa by the EDSS lobby. All my massages were with Josue (Joshua)...great hands!Feedback for HBR...Put the coffee maker in the kitchenette and not on the bar. Move the DVD player from downstairs to upstairs.Put a screen on the upstairs slider so that guests can sleep with the slider open.I love HBR, will answer any questions the readers have....just ask.

Pampered

We love being pampered by the wonderful staff there. I received two full-body massages from Nancy of NaaySpa. 5 Stars. The food is always excellent. Rooms are top notch. Water volleyball and hot tubs are great for group interactions. Going back next year.
