Great little hotel

Just back from 2 weeks at HM Playa del Carmen and i only have great things to say about this little hotel. We initially had a room on the 1st floor but requested a change to a room with a balcony, this was not a problem for the desk staff and we were moved the best day to a room on the 2nd floor. The room was clean and tidy and housekeeping kept the rroms clean on a daily basis.Breakfast was a buffett, it had everything you could want. Fruit, cereal, yoghurt, meats and cheeses. Bacon, eggs, Mexican dishes, breads and pastries. A big thanks to Gabriel who looked after us every day and kept us topped up with coffee and smoothies. Not only was he always cheerful and ready to get you anything you needed but he also gave some great tips on where to go and things to see. The pool area is lovely, it's always a calm environment to just chill and sunbath. The poolside staff were always on hand to make cocktails or anything else you might want. The poolside food was lovely. It might not be a big names hotel but it has everything you could ever need and the staff are the most helpful and friendly I have come across in a while.

Great little hotel

Just returned from a 10 night stay at the HM and it was a pleasure to stay there. The staff were so friendly and helpful during our holiday. The room was spotlessly clean with air conditioning, shower, W/C. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Fresh towels and bedding every day, a gorgeous pool area with bar & snacks. In the morning we would go to the dining area and have a delicious breakfast, wide choice of fruit, cereals, meats, cheeses, pastries and hot food such as Bacon & eggs as well as Mexican dishes. The server would even make an omelette with what ever ingredients you wanted. A special mention to Gabriel and Nancy who would keep us topped up with fresh coffee and fruit juices. The staff on the front desk would help and advise us on getting around and things to do such as how to use the Collectivo's or how much a cab fare may cost. Its in a great location near enough to 5th Av to walk and 4 blocks from the beach. They also have an agreement with the Kool beach club which is one of the better beach clubs to hang out at when at the beach. We had a great time at the HM and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent all round

We arrived at this stunning hotel after a long flight from Manchester. HOTELThe hotel is in a stunning location, the white sandy beach is a short walk and it's almost in the centre of Playa del Carmen. The hotel itself is wonderful, even from the outside. Check in was efficient and quick and we were shown to our room.ROOMWe booked a junior suite, with two double beds, comfy seating, small table, plenty of room for dressing, good wardrobe space. The bathroom was immaculate, modern low level sink, super shower and great mirrors. Complimentary toiletries, which were replaced constantly, hairdryer, safe, flat screen tv and free wifi. The beds must be the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the sheets were changed regularly. Great pillows. The air conditioning is excellent and there is 24 hr service at reception.STAFFWe were impressed with the happy, hard working staff. Every time you see one they greet you with a cheerful Hola and a smile. Gardeners, maids alike. Nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel like a VIP. Waiter service is great. Plenty of sunbeds and different spots to sunbath in, from the pool area to garden, so you never get bored.RESTAURANT The breakfasts here are a real treat, we don't as a rule have breakfast but on holiday it's a different matter, presentation is out of this world, never got boring. The lunches we had were excellent. This was a very different holiday for us and it was the best fortnight we've ever had, pure indulgence and what a difference it made. Not only the hotel and it's lovely stafff were special but the location is something else. Just can't wait to go back.

perfect vacation.

One of the best hotels in Playa del Carmen,Wasn't very convinced because we usually stay in bigger hotels but both my girlfriend and I liked it so much that we are planning on going back in October again. Location is fantastic and the staff are very approachable.Worth the money we paid and we look forward to going back.
