Kore is a beautiful large resort hotel, unfortunately there is no beach to swim at this resort, they do offer you to use the beach club 5 min drive away. The all inclusive price comes with decent food options, nothing exceptional and all of their drinks seemed watered down. They charge for WiFi on only 2 devices, which should be part of the all inclusive price. The front desk staff did not believe us that our WiFi code wasn’t working and offered us very little in “customer service” to accommodate a solution. The staff is friendly but seems very untrained with customer service skills. The jacuzzi tub on our balcony broke, they didn’t seem concerned when we asked for it to be fixed. The grounds are clean and very well kept. It’s a beautiful option to stay at, and very safe. But be prepared to pay 5 star prices for a 3 star experience.

Peace and Quiet

We stayed here January 15-19, 2018, our first time in Tulum, Mexico. We very much enjoyed being away from the "main strip" and very close the ruins (which we used the free bike rentals to get to). For an adults-only atmosphere, we were grateful there wasn't a loud/large booze scene. The hotel was clean, professional, and peaceful. Our only criticism is that the food really missed the mark for us. Our experience was that the hotel goes for variety over quality (especially with lunch and dinner). We recommend going out to nearby Pueblo for some authentic food and a great time. We enjoyed in the in-room jacuzzi, and the paid for internet service was very fast and reliable. The entire staff of Kore Tulum was very friendly and helpful. Overall, 4/5.

Beautiful place but might not stay again

I’d stay again except for the fact I couldn’t sleep. The beds were terrible. So uncomfortable I tossed all night long. Between the parties next door alll night long and the partners coming home literally all wee hours of morning and doors slamming I never slept. I had ear plugs and it didn’t help. Guests were so noisy and drunk coming home. But mostly the loud doors slamming shut exvhoing through tiled lobbies. Lots of smoking everywhere. Difficult to get away from. People had no concern about smoking during meals in entrance ways etc. really uncomfortable.

Wonderful intimate resort with amazing staff!

Usually, after visiting a place, I am able to appreciate negative TripAdvisor reviews even if they don't correspond to my own experience. Not so with Kore -- actually, I wonder if those reviewers stayed at the same resort! I can only speak highly of this beautiful property. My partner and I have just returned from a 10-night holiday at Kore and our experience was impeccable from beginning to end. We've travelled extensively across North America and Europe and rarely have I seen such good service, of course keeping in mind the price point and type of resort. Some of the nearby "ecochic" hotels might offer finer dining, but charge nightly room rates double or even triple of what we paid at Kore, and only include breakfast. I found that Kore exceeded all of our - realistic - expectations. The staff is absolutely lovely. When we checked in, we enquired about the different room types that were available to us (indoor jacuzzi, outdoor jacuzzi, ...) and the receptionist, Luz, spontaneously proposed she show us three slightly different rooms that would be available for the duration of your stay! After our little "guided tour" while sipping our welcome drinks, we chose the room we liked best and couldn't have been more pleased with it. The room was very spaceous and we appreciated having a comfortable king bed as well as a sitting area and jacuzzi by the windows, which open up entirely for an indoor-outdoor feel. The minibar is restocked daily with soft drinks and water and there is also a 24-hour complimentary room service. This is something I had never seen in an all-in resort! The room was cleaned daily, towels changed and bedding refreshed. We called housekeeping on two occasions, to request an extra blanket and tissues, and in both cases, someone delivered the item within 5 minutes, which I thought was impressive. The food seems to be an issue for certain reviewers, but we very much enjoyed all of our meals. We did have lunch in town on a couple of occasions, since we were out and about, but we only went for dinner elsewhere once, merely for a change. Depending on taste, guests will inevitable prefer certain dishes over others, but we were very satisfied in general. Obviously, this is not Michelin star food, but then again, you're not forking out hundreds of dollars for one meal. There are a lot of choices, so it's easy to avoid repetition or dishes you don't care for.At all three meals, there is a buffet as well as an à la carte menu. At breakfast, there is also a juice menu offering many interesting fresh green and fruit juices as well as mimosas and bloody caesars. Drip coffee is served standard, but the waiters will happily fix you an espresso, capuccino or other specialty coffee - just ask. We found that the waiters were extremely dedicated and accommodating. Not everyone is perfectly fluent in English, and they'll appreciate it even more if you say one or two words in Spanish to them (or at least try to). If you're lounging at the manmade beach area, there's even a waiter taking your drink and snack order for the pool bar. We always received our requested items quickly and correctly. We found the cocktails to be just as good and strong as at other places in town. If you have a preference for a specific brand of liquor, ask, because it is true that without any specifications, you're likely to get a more generic brand. The relatively small size of the resort (94 suites) makes it perfect for a relaxing holiday, although the hotel does offer certain activities (yoga, badminton, pool volleyball, walk to the beach, ...) if you want to keep a little more active. The public beach and beach club are only a 10-minute walk away, so that's really no issue and we didn't find the need to get a bike for this, even less so the offered shuttle service. And if all you want to do is relax while watching the sea, the small manmade beach at the resort itself is great. Admittedly, the bicycles are rather tired, but this seemed to be the case for all of the bikes we saw around Tulum. That said, if I had to suggest one improvement, it would be for the hotel to get a few more and newer ones. There's only free Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby and bar, but we actually ended up enjoying this, as it allowed us to truly disconnect yet still have easy internet access when needed. If ever we travel back to Tulum, we won't hesitate making Kore our first choice! We absolutely loved it - a big thank you to all staff!

Kore tulum

My husband and I just arrived home from a 4 night stay at the Kore. It was amazing. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The food was AMAZING. The room service is 24 hours a day. There’s are bars on the property that are a short walk from the room or room service will bring you drinks! The jacuzzi in the room was great! It took a while to fill, but it was HUGE. Very relaxing. We can’t say enough good things about it. It was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Not a lot of nightlife, and we’re ok with that. We went to relax. The ocean area has steps right down to the water. You can’t swim there but there is a beach 10 minutes up the road and they offer free rides there. One of the best beaches I’ve ever been too. I really can’t say enough good things about the staff! The last day they spoke to us only in Spanish! It was fun to test our skills. :)
