Our Opinion

Great resort for your money. This resort is better for those who are looking for an experience that is different from your usual all-inclusive getaway. The resort is located fairly far from its beach. Guests should be prepared to take a 10 minute shuttle to the resort beach (it is recommended that you leave early to get a nice spot). Great food options and attentive guest services.

Another fantastic new year

This is our 5th year in a row we have been to this fantastic hotel and it just keeps getting better. The food has always been exceptional but this year it was even better. A lot of the staff were still there from previous years and recognised us and gave us a huge welcome which is fantastic. Also repeat holidaymakers and we all such fun together, so nice to meet up with old and new friends. A huge thank you to Rpberto, our privilege friend who went over and above to make sure we had a great time and we certainly did, already booked up to go back again in December, cant wait.

First time in Mexico

Had a fantastic vacation at this resort for our first time in Mexico. The staff was friendly, the food all over this resort and all the other ones we could go to also were all good. The transportation to go to and from everywhere were quick and never had to wait more then a few minutes for one. Loved being able to stay at one but experience all the sister resorts as well. We will be returning to this resort for sure next year!

Best all inclusive so far

room was a roof top penthouse suite, with a tub and private patio that overlooked the jungle. tub ran hot or cold, depending on what you felt like. slow to fill, but worth every penny to have the jacuzzi. very very affordable, prob 100-200 bucks more per person to be at the sian Kaan part of the quatro resort, and to have that room. the top shelf liquor offered at the lobby bar was exceptional, grey goose and prime tequila we enjoyed without reserve. food was ideal, beautiful, but didn't really adhere to the theme at the buffet. air conditioner was remote controlled and perfect, scented oil unit on demand, pillows were great, great bathrooms provisions, very private view. very clean, loved the on demand app, for food, reservations, butler service, room service and house keeping. being able to communicate when we were finally out of the room and needing service was amazing. for us and them I'm sure, what a great idea and time saver!! there is always things to improve on, and things that go above and beyond.... my only major gripe is that bar stucco staff/housekeeping... would enter regardless of do not disturb on door. sometimes at 8:30, I even went so far as to put it in the key slot, so they couldn't miss it. they c are in anyway, every sine day for 7 STRAIGHT!!!! not relaxing and a total invasion. I have stayed at Coba Bahia previously and this was not an issue. I hope it was just an isolated miscommunication from housekeeping management. I did make front desk aware, as it disrupted every morning we had there.

Beautiful Resort

I know it’s a long bus ride to get to the resort but it’s so worth it. We had an amazing holiday at this quiet lush green resort. From the moment we got off the bus to the end of our holidays . Staff asked how we were. Is there anything they could do for us . We’re foodies and we found The food was excellent. Something for everyone. Dessert tables exceptional . But the most incredible thing for me was. no fighting over chairs. It was marvellous. Plenty of shade for those who wanted it. Beach Towels your room upon arrival , our dinners were set by Yair who was amazing. . No lining up. No group meeting to talk about the hotel and services. Individual meet and greet to plan trips. Turn down service at night with chocolates. While, pool side you get bar service, fruit on sticks, nuts ..all those small things that make you feel just a little special. I’m not a resort person and usually by the end of the seven days I’m ready for home but I have to say here I was very sorry to leave, thanks to all the staff who made out trip exceptional . We will return and have recommended it to many of our friends.

It's true what they say! This resort is nothing short of exceptional!!

From start to finish, this is an exceptional resort. ALL staff are welcoming, helpful and high quality. The resort is just beautiful, nestled amongst jungle foliage. It is not on the beach, but a short trolly ride away. The pool drink service was amazing. The butler service was truly something special. We went to both the Maiko and Alux specialty restaurants on the resort. Maiko was lovely but they really have to change the music. The selection of two note/chord music was repetitive and almost monotonous. The food was delicious. I had the sashimi appetizer, which was plentiful. chicken teriyaki which was exceptional. Our waiter Jaime was exceptional. Very accommodating with our dietary needs - chicken instead of pork in the soup, lime sorbet sorbet since all the other desserts had dairy ingredients. Also added a bit of sake to the lime sorbet. What a nice touch!! The Alux was truly exceptional. Amazing setting, service and food over the top. Our waiter Bernardo was amazing. The food was nothing short of amazing. My husband had the lamb and I had the tuna filet. Isiasis offered lovely drinks after dinner. We also took advantage of three other specialty restaurants at the other resorts. We went to Los Corales Brazilian at the Akumal resort. Armando from the Akumal lobby walked us over since we were somewhat lost. I expected a timeshare pitch when we got there, but we were happy to see there wasn't one!! There was also an adults section at Akumal, but it was rowdier, and we preferred the adults resort of Sian Ka'an. The food was quite good and plentiful. We also went to Frutos del Mar, and Angel was our exceptional waiter. The appetizer buffet was out of the world, so many choices!! Then the main course was even better!! Always attention to detail, and presentation was so amazing. Finally, we went to the highly recommended Don Pablo specialty restaurant in Tulum The trolly to the restaurant was very slow and we were 10 minutes late for our reservation. We we worried that our reservation would be declined as their policy states that the reservation can be declined if you are 5 minutes late, but they were pleasantly very accommodating. Otherwise, we were sadly disappointed with the rest of the experience. Almost as we sat down, one of the waiters came to our table with a bottle of specialty wine which we Kindly declined. We don't need such extravagance. However, our waiter Rigo was wonderful. He was very welcoming and kind and explained our choices well. We both had the sea bass. We prefer Chilean sea bass as opposed to European, because it is more flavorful. However, the seabags was quite rubbery and not flavourful at all. I had a hard time finishing it because it tasted so fishy. Even the apple cinnamon tart was lacking. In such a classy restaurant, you'd think that they would heat up the apple tart to then contrast the vanilla ice cream. The apple tart was sadly cold, and rather dry. Our waiter, Rigo, was the only good part of the experience. We gave him full marks. All in all, an exceptional resort. The constant attention to cleanliness was impeccable. Everyone got sanitizer when they came into the restaurant, as well as warm cloths before/after the meal. We only had a few small issues: The butter should be more easily spreadable on the bread. We found it fairly hard in all areas at the resort. Our weather was cool, from 19 - 23 degrees max and almost always overcast. So we were very cold at night and after a couple of cold nights we asked for an extra blanket. The room was comfortable with a bed area, couch area and a balcony. Bring a closet organizer for your things because there is little/no storage except for a couple of shelves in the closet, a night table and a shelf where the TV is. The bed was quite firm and comfortable, but our backs began to get achy by the end of the week, as others have said. The shower was weak, but doable.
