Our Opinion

The Now Sapphire is definitely a great resort which is worth paying extra for. All luxury suites, excellent service, white sand beach and a large, amazing pool area. The beach does tend to collect a bit of seaweed, but the staff clean it up daily, a minor annoyance. Transfers to Playa del Carmen are included. Sister resort to the Now Jade Riviera Cancun.

Visit to Now Sapphire in 2016

My husband and I visited Now Sapphire in June last year and from the moment we arrived at the complex we were treated like royalty. The staff were so friendly and as soon as they saw we had walking sticks they gave us a marvellous disabled room and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent and I found the buffet amazing unlike most buffets in hotels. We even had a meal on the beach and the food and service was excellent. All of the facilities were excellent and my husband loved the beach and the service on the beach. The pool was also fantastic. The reason I am writing this now is because I have just booked up for this year arriving on the 3rd June for two weeks and am so looking forward to it. It's my little bit of heaven.. Look forward to seeing you soon Sapphire! Diane

Fantastic place

This is my second time staying at Now Sapphire and honesty doesn't disappoint. The hotel is incredible and kept in immaculate condition, the rooms are large clean and contain all the amenities you need for a beach holiday and the hotel grounds are stunning. The hotel is located around 20 minutes from the airport, and quite close to main attractions, you are able to book these at the hotel. The beach is beautiful, some reviews mention seaweed, however there are members of staff on the beach all day clearing it up, and isn't as bad as some people make out! The main pool area is lively and fun but at the same time relaxing, waitresses and waiters can't fulfil your drinks requests quick enough! The staff and service you receive is on another level, nothing you ask is too much. Each member of staff made an effort to learn your name, and even knew your favourite drinks (Jonathan, Splash Bar). The restaurants are all fantastic, the food is really good for a mass catering hotel. Whilst there was a wait for tables, once sat down the service was good and the food was great. The front desk staff made check in easy, which after an 11 hour flight was ideal, and anything we asked they did their upmost to do/ help with. The entertainment team where great, by providing something to do all day and night such as volleyball, bike rides, water aerobics literally everything. Even if you don't get involved its a great laugh to watch from the sidelines! They're a really friendly and energetic group of people who made our holiday even better, especially want to note Edgar, Dylan, Fernando and Miguel. The only downside or area which should be addressed is the sunbed situation around the main pool, there evidently isn't enough yet plenty of space to provide more.Overall an amazing hotel, all the staff are a credit and will certainly be going back again!

Spring Break Trip

The Now Sapphire is a beautiful resort and we traveled with family members and friends. We enjoyed this vacation very much and would return. Most of the staff was very helpful and friends. We did find that those workers in the preferred lounge were the least helpful and polite. All the servers beach and poolside were attentive. Loved the Bali beds by the pool.

Best. Wedding. EVER!

We recently hosted a 75 person wedding at the Now Sapphire Resort in Cancun. The photos do NOT do this place justice! From the moment we checked in and stepped into the lobby, my fiancé and I felt transported to paradise. The beautiful sprawling estate offers an abundance of amenities daily from poolside Zumba to archery classes! At first, I thought that the huge layout was a bit daunting, BUT, when we realized that even booked to full capacity, we never had to wait in lines to eat, and the place never felt cramped or crowded (beach and poolside chairs for EVERYONE), we felt free to lay back and relax while not feeling like people were tripping over each other. The staff works constantly to keep the rooms clean, mini bars stocked, and the grounds looking spectacular. Most all inclusives are very hit or miss when it comes to food and drink, but NOT this place! The food was spectacular and I highly recommend dining at Paramour on your first night. The Market Place buffet offered and amazing array of pretty much anything you'd like to eat. The French concept was phenomenal, just make sure you get there early. You have to reserve a table at the Hibachi if you want to eat there, so just make sure you do. Overall, this resort offers so many amenities that it's hard to keep them straight. It would be nice if they offered some kind of checklist so you don't lose track of what you have access to or what reservations you have to make so you don't forfeit them during your visit. The spa was AMAZING. Tranquil, beautiful, and the staff was lovely (again!). Make sure you take advantage of the aqua therapy! It was outstanding. I had facial the day before my wedding and my husband and I enjoyed a couples massage the day after our wedding, which was just what the doctor ordered!A few wonderful employees to mention:First off, our wedding planner, RAMON! He is the man. Obviously, planning a wedding from far away is unsettling, but Ramon kept in great contact with me in the days leading up to our wedding, and even even allowed for us to make a TON of changes a few days before. He was so kind, fun, and professional. I was nervous about not having a "rehearsal" of sorts the night before, but I didn't need one! Ramon never left our sight and helped direct everyone every step of the way! The day of my wedding there was an 80% chance of rain, threatening to ruin our beach wedding. Ramon came to me while I was getting my hair done and was so patient and kind. The stars were in our favor that day and it ended up not raining, but if it had, Ramon assured us of his backup plan and that we would still have a beautiful wedding. Can't say enough good things about him.Denis at the Lobby Bar! Such a nice guy! It helps that my family speaks Spanish, but even observing him with the other resort guests, he treated us all so well. We asked for coconuts to drink out of and he delivered the next day! He was always smiling, remembered us by name and always asked if we were enjoying ourselves. Such a nice man and exemplary service with a smile! He even made me a special pineapple drink guy before I left.Israel at The Blue Water Grill. Attentive, kind, and always shared a joke with us. He was a joy to be around and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves. I'm sorry to say I don't remember the name of our server at Cibu, but he was wonderful! The somm was good too and we rapped about wine for a minute and before I mentioned that I was a somm. He didn't try to gouge us into getting the more expensive top shelf wine bottles, but rather he went for exactly what we asked him for. The service there was exceptional. Lazarro! One of the hotel managers who made sure to check in with us whenever we passed by. He always made sure to ask if we were having a good time and definitely made sure we felt welcomed. Even up to our very last minute when we were getting on our bus to the airport, Lazarro made sure to thank us.If I HAD to say anything negative about our experience, it would be our initial room. While we were "upgraded" to the Preferred Club, (access to adults only pool, spa treatments, and extra resort credits) our actual room was never upgraded for us, which was part of our wedding package, based on availability. The room we were given AS THE BRIDE AND GROOM was a first floor, next to the utility closet, facing away from the ocean and towards a huge bush. It was dark and dank and while the room itself was nice enough, it was awful going from the beautiful tropics of outside to our dark and depressing room, knowing what was available otherwise. My thoughts are these: if someone brings you nearly 80 ppl's worth of business, those people should be a priority. Period. I immediately asked to be moved to another room and was told that there were no other rooms available that were facing the ocean. Disappointing, but understandable, so I asked if we cold be upgraded upon availability. I was told yes. My parents arrived the same day as us and were gracious enough to offer to switch rooms with us once they saw our room, as they had an ocean view. They said that if we're only doing this once, we should do it right. It was very kind of them, but I don't feel we should have been put in that situation as the wedding couple. We hoped for better availability so that my parents could get an upgrade and we switched rooms with them. I never did get notice of better availability, which was disappointing since my aunt, who checked in a few days later, was given a HUGE upgrade on her room, just because. Because this was remedied by my parents and the rest of the experience was so enjoyable, I didn't want to gripe about this, but it was one thing that could have easily been remedied, and being in the hospitality industry myself, I feel it ought to have been handled better. Despite this, we will be back next year to say hello to everyone for our anniversary because, like I said, the rest of the experience was exceptional. We look forward to returning for another visit with a wonderful staff!

Loved the resort and especially the beach bar service. Great trip. Thanks my friend Felix for taking care of us. The resort was very clean. Our room was great. The breakfast buffet was also a favorite.
