Our Opinion

Solid resort to stay at in the Riviera Maya. There are great a la carte items to choose from here. However, unless you are a 'privileged' member, it's best to go to these restaurants early to avoid long wait times. There are also some issues with the Wi-Fi - take note as well that it isn't free. However, this is still a fairly solid resort, with great spacious rooms and beautiful scenery.

Centrally located between the Mayan Riviera and Cancun, is the beautiful Ocean Coral and Turquesa. This delightful hotel offers travelers everything they need to make the most of their holidays. Equipped with several facilities, guests of the Ocean Coral can opt to fill their days with active options like watersports and tennis or more a laid back day with massages and saunas. With numerous dining options and spacious accommodations every stay at the Ocean Coral and Turquesa is a memorable one!

Location: Located directly on a pristine white sand beach in Puerto Morelos. Approximately 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen and from the Cancun airport.

Chichen Itza, Speedboats, Jeep ride through the Caves.

Chicen Itza was spectacular ! The natural Sinkhole etc, How exhilarating! Be sure to accept the umbrella offered by the Tour Guide..and take that bottle of water. The speed boat at the Cancun Harbour was great; it's a 50 minute ride with a 15 minute break for a bottle of water. You do the driving ! 2 to a boat. The jeep ride at Xplorer through the caves was so exciting...it was pouring down rain and it added to the excitement. Again, you do the driving..it's about 45 minutes of winding, curving and roller coaster style ride.

Amazing trip to this beautiful resort

This trip was so much better than I could have imagined. Sometimes on websites the rooms looked outdated, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Every employee is so welcoming and great. The bartenders Franki and Angel were our favorite. They would always talk with us and made us great drinks. The pools were so nice, and the staff around the pool is so fun, there are activities all day long. The beach is beautiful, and they try to get up all the seaweed. Overall would come back here 100 times more. The Japanese restaurant was also amazing. I was skeptical after reading some reviews, but after going here, I can't even understand what anyone had a problem with. We are a young couple and we had an amazing time here. Arrived early, room was ready early, check in and check out were a breeze. Also enjoyed the food.

Staff treated us like royalty...... a special thanx to Danny Suacedo for all his help !!!

One of the best vacations ever!! Room service, bar tenders, bellman and pool staff were excellent ! They kept the place running like a well oiled machine! Daily entertainment/activities were also good.

Almost 5 stars but the checkout was horrible

Loved the food, and drinks, and the great service. So great we started tipping about the 4th day even though it wasn't expected. Next thing we know, drinks start arriving just as we are getting ready to order another round. Every other round or so included a round of shots without having to ask. The room service was excellent. Service at the beach a little slow but they'll bring you 2 drinks at a time do we never went thirsty. EVER! The restaurants could crank the AC down a notch but you get used to the muggy in a day or too. Ask to sit at a table under a vent if you're really bothered. The room was comfy. Bed firm. Lots and Lots of pillows. Good water pressure and makeup lighting. Room safe was nice. I left out meds and other valuables occasionally with no problems or theft. Room had a dehumidifier. We dumped it daily since the maid didn't. not a big deal. Takes 10 seconds. Nice balcony. Only bad thing, no dresser drawers or line to hang wet suits. Entertainment much better than most Riviera/Cancun resorts. Prepare for loud music and party by day and night. This is a fun resort, not an old folks home. If you're an early to bed type, bring earplugs. Nice beach. who cares about a little seaweed? Swim out past it or find a chair to lounge in. Lots of pools. Only problem is people are allowed and do bring their toddlers to the pool with the swim up bar. They get wasted. They're not watching their kids. The kids are on the bar stools taking up adult space. They should bring their kids to the kid pool which is just as nice and they can get just as drunk there too. Check in easy. Check out bad. They had our rooms mixed up and spa charges we did not make were charged to our room. Thankfully we knew the room number these people were in and after 20 minutes issue was resolved. Then came the all inclusive fee. We paid at check in and they wanted another $1,115 USD at check out. I had my receipt handy. Problem solved. But still, trying to check out and being told we owed another $1355 USD really ticked me off. We didn't even get an apology. Shame on them. Go here. You'll have a great time but save every receipt for every purchase from salon to gift shop and charge nothing to your room. We go to the area often. We might or might not be back to this resort. It was one of our favorites. We had a blast! except for the check out. Oh and the elevators don't work but who cares? Its not that many stairs. Valets will carry your bags and its a big mega place. You're walking anyways.

Stayed at Ocean Coral for weeks on our honeymoon

Arrived at the hotel to find we had been upgraded to a room with a sea view. There was wine and sweet treats left as well as one romantic breakfast and dinner for us to book at any time during our stay (this usually costs extra). The accommodation was first class and exceptionally clean - I couldn't fault it. A special mention for the pool side waitress Gabriela Castillo, her welcoming manner and first class service made our trip here all the more worth while. Although all the staff are very helpful, Gabriela for us really stood out and for that we are greatly appreciative. Thanks for all you done for us during our stay here Gabriela, you really were excellent! Chelsea & Keiran, Scotland.
