Our Opinion

A solid resort to stay at in the Riviera Maya. There are great a la carte items to choose from here. However, unless you are a 'privileged' member, it's best to go to these restaurants early to avoid long wait times. There are also some issues with the Wi-Fi - take note as well that it isn't free. However, this is still a fairly solid resort, with great spacious rooms and beautiful scenery.

Centrally located between the Mayan Riviera and Cancun, is the beautiful Ocean Coral and Turquesa. This delightful hotel offers travelers everything they need to make the most of their holidays. Equipped with several facilities, guests can opt to fill their days with active options like watersports and tennis or a more laid back day with massages and saunas. With numerous dining options and spacious accommodations, every stay at the Ocean Coral and Turquesa is a memorable one!

Location: Located directly on a pristine white sand beach in Puerto Morelos. Approximately 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen and from the Cancun airport.

Amazing hotel with first class staff !

We stayed at the Ocean Coral last month for a week, this was our first time in Mexico and we couldn't have picked a better place, we loved every minute, only wish we could have stayed longer, we will definitely be back soon ! The Hotel resort has something for everyone. We were made very welcome from the onset from check in to check out.It was Just me and my 10 year old son who went along to the Daisy club most days, Indy and team made him feel very welcome, they manage to keep all the children all different ages engaged and having fun, amazing people thank you. I wanted a relaxing break and i certainly got that. The restaurants and places to eat at the resort had so much to choose from even for a fussy 10 year old, with route 66 burgers and ribs to fine dining, more than enough even with one restaurant out of action for refurbishment.The entertainment was brilliant from live singers at the party pool to fire eating acrobats on Halloween night with party games & pumpkin carving so much to do and see.Great memories

Amazing Holiday! Would definitely return.

It’s taken a little while to put this on so sorry for the delay. We stayed from 22/10/17-31/10/17 and from start to finish we could not fault the hotel or the staff.Rooms- We stayed in a junior suite with garden view and it was beautiful. Nice and big, comfy beds, lots of space in the wardrobes and the drawers. The bathroom was great, and it wasn’t a problem for us that there is not a door. The shower and the toilet do have doors so it’s not totally open plan. There is a hairdryer that works just fine and was nice and powerful. Good supply of shower gel/shampoo and creams too. Rooms were cleaned every day and mini bar restocked too.Food- the main buffet restaurant was still closed when we were there but this didn’t cause us any problems. There was plenty of other choices. The Italian restaurant was lovely for breakfast and the staff were always polite and friendly. We fell in love with the creperie which was by the privilege pool. You don’t have to be privilege to eat there and the food is delicious. There is a different menu for lunch and dinner and is definitely worth a try for both. The buffet always had a large selection of food for dinner with a different theme each night and the al a cartes wereAll lovely, especially the sensai.Pools- the pools were lovely. Nice and big, not too cold and always spare sunbeds so no need to be up early to get your towels out. We were well looked after by Gemima, she was fantastic and works so hard!Daytime Entertainment- The entertainment staff were fab, always around the pool with things to do, and on the few rainy days we had they were in the lobby talking to you and keeping you entertained. Polo was fab with his card tricks and kept us guessing for ages.Evening Entertainment- WOW! The guys that put the shows on in the evening were fantastic! Brilliant shows and fab dancers. They really do work hard. Our favourite was the Grease show. We saw a little bit of the lion king which looked fab so I’m sure the whole show would have been fab. Special shout out to Anna who never seemed to be away from the place. She was with the kids through the day and in the show every night, she really worked hard.And last but by no means least, the absolute best part of our holidayDaisy Club!! - OH MY GOODNESS, where do I start!! These girls were absolute amazing! The first morning we took the boys (ages 10 and 6) they were so friendly and caring. Telling the boys all about the club and what they did there. They really made them feel welcome from the start. From day 2 the boys fell in love with daisy club. They loved the morning craft, the pool games, foam party.....it was all fantastic. On the rainy days they even stayed for lunch with them. They had things for the kids to do in the evenings. Including The Grease Show which was brilliant! The girls worked so hard with the kids and nothing was ever too much trouble. Again big thanks to Anna and Lupita but we have to give a massive thank you to Indy! She was absolutely fantastic and a credit to the hotel. She was so good with our boys that they would have spent the full Holiday with her if they could. She learns as much as she can about the children and they’re all individual to her. We had lots of tears on the last day when we had to leave. She made our holiday- so thank you Indy. The boys ask every day when we are coming back to see you. A fantastic holiday had by all and we wouldDefinitely go back

Love love love this place!

We spent the last 2 weeks in Oct here. Daisy club was just fabulous, Indy, lupita and Anna took fabulous care of our 3 girls (10,8&5yrs) keeping them entertained and looked after everyday! The girls adored them and were really sad to go. Thanks so much ladies, you made our girls holiday!We were disappointed about not been told by tui that the buffet was under renovation and had to que at some meal times, but the staff were excellent.. Pablo in the villa marina looked after us at meal times and was entertaining along with Antonio.. The entertainment team were fabulous too.. Alfred, polo and all the people who did shows in the theatre, they were great, we enjoyed it thoroughly! We ate at every option and enjoyed them all. This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint! Thanks OCT, your fab!

Dias de los Muertos

We arrive on Halloween day and we enjoy the all celebration of the Dia de los Muertos very nice experience to see the staff in custumes the Katrina's very nice.All The restaurant very good we enjoy original Mexican food the executive chef Sergio we'll manage all seven restaurant we enjoy breakfast in the Italian restaurant our waitress was Freddy and Roberto very friendly and helpful the 4 swimining pool very nice. I will recommend this resort

Fantastic Stay

We stayed for the first time at Ocean Coral and Turquesa earlier this month. I had been to the hotel before but this was my first time staying at the resort. I was with a small group of 7 friends and we stayed from 4 to 7 nights. We travel each year at this time and we have stayed at the Iberostar the last 7 years. Our good friend Danny used to work at the Iberostar but he transferred to the OCT last year. One of the ladies in our group has some mobility issues and the hotel was very accommodating to her for the location of her room. She needed a ground floor and it was perfect. I celebrated my birthday and they even decorated my room, made me feel very special!Our room was ready just before 3pm and was located just off of the lobby in a great location. The room was perfect and suited my roommate and I perfectly. It was quiet and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. I only wish the overhead fan could have been set to a lower speed, but that was it. Loved all the restaurants, Blue Moon and the Japanese Steakhouse were our favorites. Loved the overall layout of the resorts, everything was just a short distance away. Some of the standout employees that helped make our stay wonderful, Danny, of course, Angel, Ader and Alex. Guillermo and Karen at the Lobby bar, Freddy at Rt. 66. We met some wonderful people from England and Canada. The staff was so accommodating. We are already planning our return. Can't wait to stay here again.I want to mention Angel and his team of Bellboys, they are the best. We have a friend that lives in PO MO and we wanted to visit with her. They arranged for her to come to resort and spend some time with us in the lobby. A few suggestions for guests: don't be in a hurry to get your room, it will be available after 3pm, tip the employees, they are the best. Book with your local travel advisor and enjoy your vacation. Would love to see more live bands and performances in the lobby.
