Paradisus Playa Del Carmen Roulette
- What's Included
We arrived after a 10&half hour flight, with 3yo twins. Exhausted. We were unaware we were being given a hotel tour when we checked in, thinking we were being escorted to our room. After saying several times we wanted dinner and sleep, they reluctantly stopped, and said they would explain everything the next day. Fine by us. Dinner at buffet was Asian, and wasn't too exciting. Pretty tepid, and all tasted the same. Excellent night sleep, and kids had large pull out sofa to share. Lots of space, and comfy. Staff all very lovely, polite. Although they push the 'time share' thing really hard initially. When you are a clear 'no' they seem to lose interest completely.... I hope. This isn't why we seem to be lacking in various things... room cleaning, mini bar etc....Seems a bit like Room cleaning is a hit and miss.... one day was cleaned at 9am, next day 3pm. We had to call to have the mini bar topped as they seemed to miss us out, but they did that very quickly. Not sure about kids club just yet they have been twice, just for an hour, and we're only in day four..... will update as the holiday continues.Today is now Sunday, clearly a quiet day, as there is a photo shoot being done in a few hours, and we were asked to move from the nice quiet relaxing Bali bed (as kids in kids club) to the 'premium' Bali bed..... which is only premium as it's right next to the not so relaxing kids pirate ship pool. Not too relaxing a day so far. Hopefully have better and more positive updates later as the holiday progresses.....
We have been to other Melia properties before and this one did not fail to impress, once again we had perfect family vacations, which is the one thing I look for when I am not traveling for business. In this hotel, we had the swim up room, which was the perfect combination for when our kids wanted to be in the pool and we wanted to be in the room. Cesar Leiva, our concierge went above and beyond to please us, he is the embodied definition of customer service. The hotel has all the amenities you could ask for, kids club, a large variety of restaurants and bars and their all inclusive program is superb and they have a big area of mangle conservation in the premises which I really appreciate. Also we could not ask for a better location, close to the area parks and within a 40 minute drive of Cancun if you want to go there for night life. Thanks to Placido in Olio Restaurant, Agustin at Sunrise and Nancy our hose keeper for making our stay a memorable one.
Overal above and beyond expectations. The staff is very accommodating and always ready to please you!The restaurants are excellent, the food and service are the best. Our Butler Pablo Morales, was sure that every day we were happy and having a good time. Our house keepers, Nancy Gomez and Ines Galindo took care of our request immediately. All the staff in the hotel are very nice.We will be back!
My family and I stayed from September 7 until September 13 at this all inclusive resort of the Spanish group Melia, at the time three hurricanes were near Mexico and there was also an earthquake, in addition to which I had a terrible experience in the year in another hotel in the Mélia group in Punta Cana. But despite everything for a hard vacation, everything was great. The Resort is large new and very well maintained, the staff are friendly, polite and very motivated, I only have praise, the structure for the family is very good, the thematic psycho with briquendos made my daughter super happy, only her happiness was already worth a 10 to the hotel. The restaurants are varied, I love all, I only make reservations about the Japanese gormet, I prefer in this case more traditional food, the NAOS was exceptional, from the Lobster, shrimp and large fish, they vary the menu with the day, Spanish, French, Mediterranean , etc .. The shows were also great besides the coffee tasting gournet. The rooms had full service microwave, mini fridge, bathtub, double showers and jacuzzi on the balcony, very comfortable. Cleanliness was impeccable. Finally, a year ago I would never say that, they made a proposal to join the Melia club, I confess if my previous Melia experience was not so traumatic, and the return so disappointing at the time, my family would have joined, but in a way or another this experience was wonderful. As for the climate, in spite of my sadness and solicidarity to those who suffered, it was wonderful there during my stay, the sea around usually does not present waves, but because of these exceptionalities, there were some wavesIts location facilitated our trip to the parks (Xcaret), with this we gained almost 4 hours in relation to the location in Cancun.Anyway I think it's an excellent lodging option for the whole family.
My family just returned from 7 nights at Paradisus La Esmeralda. It was an amazing week filled with outstanding amenities, phenomenal food, and impeccable service! When there was an anticipated problem with our room, not only did our butler Ivan foresee the issue and move us in advance, but he went above and beyond to make sure that our trip was not negatively affected by upgrading our room for the remainder of the trip. Placido, Alejandro, and Dominga at the Family Concierge pool, Ahani, Laura, Ileana, Karen, and Erika at Kids' Club, Raul at Mole, and so many others provided the excellent service that really made the trip memorable. We have stayed at all-inclusive resorts before, but none compared this trip. We will be recommending your resort to others and plan to return.
