The Hideaway At Royalton Riviera Cancun
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
Overall, there were more positives and negatives regarding our stay at the Hideaway. Positives were the friendliness and courtesy of the staff and the awesome adults only area (nothing against kids, just nice to be away from them from time to time). We also enjoyed having an "all-in-1" wristband that virtually provided us with everything we needed while on the resort. Negatives were the sales pitches and extremely slow services by the restaurants we frequented. Overall, we would definitely come back as it was a nice break from reality!
We literally had the best holiday here at Hideaway and generally at the Royalton Riveria Cancun. We haven't stopped talking about it since we got back and have looked at going here or another of their hotels. Check in was easy and we were greeted with a glass of sparkling, and shown to the separate check in area. The hotel looks impressive when you walk in and we found that it didn't get any less impressive throughout the holiday. Our room was amazing and looked out at the Hideaway Pool. It was luxury and it had everything we needed. It's such a large complex that it took us a couple of days to find our way around but that's because we wanted to relax. The mini-bar was filled each day and we left a tip on a few days and we got more of what we were actually drinking. You get crisps, soft drinks and beer free. The food is amazing, Dorado which is for Hideaway guests only was gorgeous, even for a non fish eater. The breakfast was gorgeous and the service was second to none. We didn't have one bad meal and we tried all the restaurants at the hotel (lots to choose from) but the buffet would have been enough. My boyfriend who has travelled to other all-inclusive resorts said it was the best and biggest he'd come across. The drinks are brilliant as well, with a huge choice of bars. I'd never have got through all the cocktails on offer! The facilities were really good, plenty of pools, tennis courts were good, evening entertainment was good. Everything was really good! Although the hotel was packed all the time, it never felt really busy. We did find that if we wanted some piece and quiet we would go to one of the other pools, as the adult one was definitely the one for fun, which was brilliant most of the time. The beach is good and very relaxing, though there isn't a lot of shade in the adult only area so if you go up a bit you can sit under some palm trees which was lovely. Yes there's seaweed, but you're in a coral area so it's sort of expected. All the staff were brilliant, and you couldn't ask for anything else from them. Big shout out to Joseph and Billie who were brilliant every day, and made saying bye to the resort even harder.Beware of your room keys and bands though. They're brilliant as they are your all-inclusive bands and room key in one, but they're very expensive if you lose them - it's in the information you sign at the beginning. I have no negatives and would most definitely go back again!
Resort was new and very beautiful ! Great food variation and service, however were a little pushy with getting us to buy travel package, ruined the first few days of the trip. Just say now firmly and walk away! They go as far as calling you in your room at 8:30 am, asking you to come meet with them, ridiculous !!
The staff was very attentive. The crew at Darado was amazing. The manager was helpful and made you feel special. Our waiter Aroello was top notch. Sunday at the pool area was awresome. The rooms were very clean. The food was really good and that isn't usually the case with some all inclusive property's. the highlight of the trip was the all white party on the beach. The violist was amazing as well as the fire show. There was a lot of seaweed, but I think it was because if the recent rains. I will recommend this property to friends and I plan on returning.
We stayed at the hideaway portion of the hotel. We loved the food, restaurants and entertainment. It's also close to the airport. We had a great time even though the weather wasn't too hot. Beach was definitely not the greatest tho, lots of seweed!!!
