It was a fun week. food and weather was amazing.Facilities were good. place was very well kept. Personally I wish the casino had been opened. it just would add to the entertainment value. I found the evenin shows to be a little too repitive.Other than that it was a grear experience and would recommend this to anyone.fun week !!
Service was good, nice views, the food wasn't good at all. The hotel is kinda complicated Because they got diamond club, hideaway, and Royalton. The guys on the front desk didn't know how to explain the difference. Overall not recommended
Very nice pretty and big resort. Come to visit a couple friends for a day and we were very surprise how big this resort is. Location is little bit far from hotel zone but worth it for a visiting. The buffet here is VERY GOOD. The food taste are excellent and too many choices. Never been in one of the buffet with this many food choices. Drink is good also. Very very please and for sure will book to stay at this place next visit.
Loved this resort. We had some issues with checking in and making sure we had the correct rooms, but it happens. Overall the butlers, and all of the staff was WONDERFUL. I will definitely be back! love the diamond club!
I'll warn you all now, this will be a detailed review so for those of you who want it short and sweet my advice is BOOK IT, you'll love it! Great staff/food/atmosphere/views, we fell in love... so much so that after less than a week of being home we've booked to go back next year!Staff:I've gotta start with the staff first as the level of service received during our stay was impeccable! Every single member of staff always willing to smile and say Hola! when passing. There were a few members who made our stay magical though, Emilio at Hunters Steakhouse, we were SO impressed he'd remembered us after returning 1 week later and how we liked our steak cooked, lovely lad! Raphael at Armadillo was so polite and friendly, encouraging our terrible attempts to speak Spanish and worked quickly to correct the mistake on our order.Martini bar waiting on staff - Gustavo (loved watching him dancing away whilst he cleaned & served), Andrea (patience of a Saint always helping us discover new drinks & shots), Ney (we have never met ANYBODY with such a big heart and smile) I just want to also point out that unfortunately these amazing guys never once received a tip of us as we'd run out of cash yet the service we received from them was above and beyond expectations.Hideaway Pool - Jorge (George) what a little diamond, never missed somebody so much on their day off! Thank you for making our time wonderful! Karina, my holiday mum bringing me honey and tequila when my voice went with strict instructions to SIP NOT SHOT hahaa! A big thanks to ALL of the Pool Boys, never have we been to a hotel were the pool boys care so much and have such great local knowledge!Rooms :What's not to like, big spacious comfortable rooms. Modern settings with all mod cons, amazing air con (we believe using room selector was worth the money). Our maid did an amazing job, different towel art, petals on the beds and for at least 7 days out of 10 we did receive our turn down service.Buffet:Incredible choice of food! Never seen a buffet so big there literally is everything you could ever think of, food isn't always hot sometimes cold but it's to be expected, the plates aren't heated and it would be impossible to keep all that delicious lot boiling!A La Carte -Hunters & Armadillo were definitely our favourites, the French Onion soup at Hunters is amazing! Italian was lovely, pasta a little thick but pizza's were amazing. We ate at Zen twice once for the Tepenyaki show (Miguel our chef was so funny) and then secondly for the normal menu (chicken curry spring rolls great!) with our lovely server Jorge. Breakfast at Dorado was special, breath taking view and amazing staff especially Miguel. The sports bar did amazing Philly Cheesteak Sandwiches which were perfect for a late night snack after a few drinks!Entertainment -The daytime entertainment around the Hideaway pool is different, there's always music and different things scheduled every day like the bar show/foam party etc. however some of the games are a little strange ha, usually entertainment team come round pestering you to join in which they don't here it's up to you, nice for anyone that doesn't like that, I personally don't mind as you get to know the staff better that way.Evening entertainment is the best I've ever known at night, some of the singers were outstanding, was lovely coming down for a meal to hear music playing. Shows were interesting to watch and we LOVED the white party on the main beach, liked the choice of the separate Hideaway parties too.The Little Things:We were a little worried before travelling that as the hotel was so big with so many restaurants it would take forever to get to places, it really doesn't! We loved how cleverly placed everything is! There is always maintenance staff repairing, painting upgrading things. We loved spotting the odd Racoon running through the hotel at night :) The Royalton literally has every luxury covered, room service, safe's with usb charging points inside even SCENTED TOILET ROLL... I tell no lies, smell it for yourself hahaa. It really is the little things that matter. We loved our stay so much that even a drunk woman barfing in the pool getting it shut down didn't put us off. Staff handled it quickly and professionally, can't fault them! Royalton you have captured our hearts, can't wait to see you all again in May 2018.Xiana (Fowles) & David (Cottam)
