We love Puerto Vallarta and tend to travel there as much as we can, last tme we tried this hotel in Nuevo Vallarta... When we got there, they gave us the most terrible room, with no view and very dark. We asked to be swiched but they told us they couldn´t move us because we used our time share to book. I guess they reserve the rooms with good views for the ones who book with them directly. Although the room was clean it was very unkept. They gym was not well equipped. Staff was nice, and even though I hate when they use the whole pool for their activities people seemed to enjoy it.
The hotel was remodeling a big portion of the facilities, so it was very noisy all the time with construction workers passing through the restaurant area.Rooms are old and totally unacceptableRestaurants did not serve accoding to their Schedule (the Sushi bar openned 1 hour late and next day was closed!).Not enough space at the swimming pool areaVery low food qualityElevator did not worked properly (it broke down three times in one week)
Booked through Booking.com and tried to cancel 1 of our 3 rooms because of zika. Hotel charged us and then told us they were overbooked and that they would refund money for all our rooms and an email would be sent. No email, so called again. Company claimed they never charged us (which they did) and that they would be charging us again if we didn't call and make 2 additional reservations with them directly (at a higher price...even though they didn't have any rooms avaialable) So help me understand....you charged us for 3 rooms, even though you cancelled our reservations as an error (only needed to cancel 1 because of medical reasons) and now you are threatening to charge us again if we don't book 2 additional rooms at a higher rate even though you don't have any rooms available. Amazing. DO NOT BOOK HERE.
There is a great level of noise throughout the day. At night you can hear people quarreling and being loud and obnoxious. We stayed there for two nights (Thursday and Friday) and it was not restful at all. The rooms are very small and dingy. We did not get our room cleaned for the two nights that we were there. It gave you a feeling of uncleanliness. There is lots of construction going on and the noise levels are not good. The bellboys were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Staff is great and tried to make us feel welcome. The value that you get for "resort" status is not worth it. You are better off staying at the Holiday Inn Express -- better service, clean and modern rooms, great breakfast, comfortable and great value. I wish I could say the same for this hotel because we were expecting more but fell short.
This is a craptastic hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. Next door is a million times better. This hotel is run down. More than half of it is under construction. It's loud, not clean, looks old, etc. Room is super small. The king sized bed is uncomfortable and it's in a room that is only slightly larger than the bed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY HERE. Also, do not reserve rooms using Groupon or any sites. They failed to advertise how crappy it is. The elevators were not air conditioned and was freaking hot going up and down the floors. Even the thermometer inside said 99°C
