The service we had was great. Our bartender Hector Rodriguez Cruz was great real hard worker at the bar Kaibd. Hope this get back to his manager Sir Ruben Rodriguez. He has the best service always ready to help and serve in any way he can he does the impossible for us we really appreciate his service we make sure he is going to be working when we plan our vacation. Also our cleaning lady Mary G on the 7th floor was great always asking if we need anything and had our room clean and always left a little towel as a decoration. Very friendly lady.
This is hard because I had a great time mostly due to the BEACH!!! and its MEXICO :) however the Hotel Staff here are ridiculous. There are little nickle and dime charges at every corner, tons of little pesky rules that are not normal, everything closes at 10:30, The ALL INCLUSIVE is not ALL inclusive, there are places you cant sit, restaurants you cant go to, drinks you cant have and the ones you can are super weak, I swear they take a long time to serve you so they dont "over serve you in $$'s" in their mind. Every time they serve you even if its just water you have to sign a bill with no charge which gets super old doing this all day long 100 times per day, a cup of coffee takes forever and you will watch the server spend an eternity at the computer creating a bill and documenting everything, Its very clear that this place is all about saving every penny they can. We were offered a deal (pressured into a deal) to listen to a 90min time share presentation in return for a $300 snorkeling adventure but when we showed up and tried to confirm that we would be done by 10:30am (because we were already suspicious) like we agreed the previous day they blew a head gasket , we were given the third degree and I felt like we were under arrest with all the disappointment and questions. They said we had to keep our whole day open or forfeit the "free" trip we were so upset that we just paid the $300 and went on our adventure over an all day hi-pressure sales presentation while on vacation. Checkout was a 1.5 hr nightmare with extra charges on our "ALL INCLUSIVE" bill... there is too much to list when it comes to the staff here, way way too much they are ham strung with tons of little stringent rules and the managers are not nice at all ie: we could not even get a bottle of water after checkout even though we paid for the all inclusive that whole day as well because of a rule that the staff wont break. On a positive note its very family appropriate, so if you want to have kids or stay away from the night life party crowds ect its a good quiet safe tolerable place. Just dont expect even mild luxury service or drinks with actual alcohol in them, or coffee before 7am... we will try something else next time.
I stayed in a 3 bedroom 3 bath Penthouse more than once. Keep this in mind while reading this. From the moment you step through the door they are on you like vultures trying to sell you a timeshare even if you already own one. If you don't look out! The pressure is twice as bad. They want you to spend major 5 star money but the service is one star at best. Try sitting in the lobby bar and get a drink (have sat 45 minute). No laundry in the rooms and NO laundry service even available! You have to go to the mall down the road to do you're own laundry. Temps were in the 90's no a/c in lobby bar, a/c in room are limited to 75. WIFI is less than one meg up and down! When it works! is that 5 star wifi? You call to ask about wifi they say they are working on it, Well, I been there a couple times over 4 years and they must still be working on it. Rooms are clean but dated, tv stations kind of suck but that's okay too. No dish washer no garbage disposal, no oven just a micro wave and cook top. There was a hot tub on the balcony but no water in it, George foreman propane grill didn't work. Make a call about any of the above problems and they are working on it. was there for 7 days and they must still be working on it. No way would I buy, may not even return at all. OH and the bars and restaurants close at 10PM every day! Yes Fri and Sat too!
Despite the facilities are very enjoyable, its All-inclusive concept is awful, mainly because of the service. We give good tips, but people didn't started to recognize us until two or three days. Meanwhile, we felt discriminated, and it kept happening. Our assumption was that the restaurants and bar service management is bad, with bad policies. The waiters seemed tired, disperse, unsatisfied, and unarticulated between them.
We had great service and are room had a full kitchen & living room with 2 bedrooms & 2 baths. We were close to the pool and close to a restaurant, that we liked! We loved the onsite Tiger and a full shopping Mall in walking distance. It was very nice for a family trip!
