Hotel was very modern and looked great. The rooms were very clean, neat and also modern. Good view of the city and could see Johan Cryuff arena straight infront. Only downside was that it was quite a distance from Amsterdam City Centre as it was 3 stops on the train and the train station was not far from the hotel. If you are looking for a hotel outside the city centre which is quiet then this is perfect.
Stayed just one night and found this hotel was great value and although a little out of the city, there is a train station only 6 or 7 minutes away. Only 10 minutes from city centre by train (about 4 euros one way) Also very accessible from airport.had a nice restaurant and breakfast was great.room was nice with comfortable bed--- great value
We booked this hotel as it was a lot cheaper than the others closer to the centre of Amsterdam. Public transport made it very easy to get to, so no issues with it being a little out of the way of the centre. It's a 5 minute walk to the nearest Metro station which enables you to travel anywhere in Amsterdam. We arrived at the hotel before check in time, and we were advised we could leave our bags locked away in their bag storage area. We did so and left the hotel to explore. We didn't get back to the hotel until about 12am as we had been at a festival, but there was no issues with collecting our bag and being handed our room keys. We had a drink in the bar area which is opulent, and again, for the price, unexpected.Because we didn't pay a lot for the room, we weren't expecting too much, but it was great. A good size, clean, good view, comfy bed and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast ensured the hotel got a 5 star review! Anything you can think of Buffett style. We made the most of it. Thanks for helping our brief visit to Amsterdam special!
A very nice hotel. Really very impressed. Takes about 5/10 minutes to walk from Overamstel metro station, which is about a 15/20 minute metro journey into Amsterdam Centraal station. We got the train to Overamstel from the airport. Arrived very late at night so we got a sandwich, crisps, hounmous, olives and some wine from the deli shop downstairs near reception. Divine. The perfect bedroom picnic. The bed has to be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in - and I'm really not exaggerating. The breakfast was excellent. A lovely selection of fruit, cereals, cold meats, pastries (the croissants were the nicest I've tasted) and plenty of hot food. The bread selection was very good, especially the black bread. We'll be on the hunt for that as soon as we're back in the UK. We ate later in the morning so it was our brunch. That meant we could spend our day exploring Amsterdam and we weren't hungry until much much later on. Beautiful clean rooms. Lovely friendly staff. Can't speak highly enough of the place. Will be back here whenever we return to Amsterdam.
This was a very good way to start our Trafalgar Tour. After a fair bit of driving, and a quick geek at the city, it was great to get to the hotel, eat some really good food and get into our room and a comfy bed for a good night's sleep.
