We paid €80 a night for classic triple room incl breakfast. It's working out at €27 per person, which is an outstanding value in Amsterdam. The hotel is very clean and modern. Rooms are your typical Mercure standard - no issues. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Overall, an excellent stay with even better price/quality ratio. Brekki was excellent too. It is very close to Overamstel Metro stop (8mins to Amsteram Centraal Station). There is a night bus directly from Dam sq to the hotel. Highly recommended
Probably the worst business hotel I've stayed at in recent memory. The rooms in the B tower, where my room was, are tired and old. I booked with British Airways holidays and am amazed BA would associate themselves with such a room. I booked a double room through BA but my room had 3 single beds. I will be following this up separately with BA. The shower was the worst shower I've had in a hotel and more in fitting with a youth hostel. Specifically, very poor water pressure and fluctuating temperature. I reported this on the first day but nothing was done about it. The air conditioning was also ineffective and the room very stuffy and too hot. The first time I've stayed in a Mercure and I'm very reluctant to try their brand again.
A good business hotel but a bit disappointing compared to my last stay. The staff is still very pleasant and professional but the hotel felt understaffed. The restaurant in particular was challenging. Took forever to get service and had to go in search of menus and wait staff. The food is ok but not great. And...the towels are kind of thin and tattered...
I stayed here for 2 nights for business.I can understand why the hotel has so any mixed reviews. I was on a premium floor (so i am guessing a premium room) in the A towerMy room was nice, a reasonable size, clean, with a comfortable bed and a very nice shower. The towels are ridiculously thin, absolutely no absorbancy, and the standard wifi is so slow it is impossible to use for work - personally I think paying for an upgrade to something usable is a rip offBreakfast was ok, but I think expensive at €22.00A couple of my colleagues were in the B tower and were much less impressed with their rooms.
Hotel was very modern & clean. Lovely showers & comfy beds. We had a nice view of the canals. Metro cost €17 for 3 days & took 5 minutes to get into central Amsterdam. Would recommend & visit again! Thank you
