The hotel is really good but I personally did not feel anything special with the service, the environment is really nice they need to improve their customer service. The front desk people could at least try to smile once in a while, and the breakfast service was terrific, I would go back just to see again the cook who makes the omelets because he gives a great service and he is always happy, I loved his attitude(I think he is from CUBA). My account was charged twice and during my stay, I cut my finger (not the entire finger) and I was bleeding and I asked for some alcohol and a Band-Aid but no one helped me with this, there was security guard who tried to help me, but in the end he just disappeared. That is basically my story. Overall it is a great place to stay, I will go back and I recommend it totally.
Ahh, stayed in many a HRH and whilst this fits the same image the Latin American meh kicks in that moves it down from great service to mediocre- a great shame.Vibrant yes, great sounds yesSo, room pretty good - had a platinum suite, damp smell but not HRH issue as it's in the area of high humidity so just one of those things.Service on the AS1 bar was awesome, attentive and great staffService in Tauro - dreadful, and lack lustre food.Love the HRH but will I stay here next time ..., jury out
I was in Panama to visit friends that I had met while travelling through South America last year. We went out to dinner one night and decided to have a couple drinks in the hotel before going out to the Casco Viejo area. As we are getting on the elevator, a security guard stops us and wouldnt allow me up to my room unless I paid him a cash "fee". I refused and more security came over and eventually I was allowed up, we had drinks and went out for the night. When I went to check out, I noticed that they charged me a $300 service fee for having extra guests. The thing is, I booked a two bedroom suite with a max occupancy of 3 people, so even if they did spend the night I was within the occupancy limits. My advice, stay elsewhere, this hotel is nothing but a tourist trap out to squeeze as much money from you as they can.
The pool, restaurant and view from some rooms with ocean view are great, but they can keep the mildew smell had to sleep with towel over my nose. It seem that they tried hard to live up to the HR name but it seems almost impossible because they cut so many corners.
This is a hotel with good structure and services, but with many glish in the system. First to eliminate the prostitutes who climb into the rooms you will sign a ridiculous paper that you must pay 150 bucks at check in, if you enter someone to the room. Supposedly to jusstify the control of unregistered persons into the hotels rooms. Never see this in my entered life vistong other places around the word. I think they exagerated, on the other hand at the door of the hotel theres is peoples offering you prostitute and booby parties. So which is the control they wanna to implement. In found this at the door entrance very disgusting and unfunctional. I Sugest they clean the entrance and look foward to change this rid ulous charge. Also the A/C in the room do not work properly, but when hou step out to the corridor you have an strong A/C. also you can find some small dehumidify machine that give up a good A/C , What happen with the A/C on floor 43 (inside rooms), room inside is ok . good view of the city from the room enjoyable. The hotel is good in general no complain at all, the staff super super, friendly, and they answer tou any question, also address you in any ggo manner. I recoment that if you want to saved your money step off the hotel, there is many restaurant and shop around with better prices. Super 99 24/7 market is just some block away. So if you want to get back to the 70 's in all your explendo you can go here.
