Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa
- What's Included
We love Bay Gardens, they treat you like family! We love the beach, pool and the location is great within walking distance of downtown. The food and drink service is great ! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone thinking of visiting St. Lucia
We enjoyed our stay at Bay Gardens Beach Resort. The courtesy shuttle to the other Bay Gardens properties was a nice touch, it allowed us to go to town shopping, or for different places to eat, or take a bus or taxi to go sightseeing. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet (which was included) was very nice. Good selection, included a la carte options, ie omelettes in a beautiful spot on the beach. We extended our stay, therefore two different rooms, one pool view- a larger room with the pool and beach/waterfront view was lovely, a little noisier with nightly entertainment, but that ended at a reasonable hour. Our second room was a garden view, a little smaller, but nice. The gardens were down below, so from the 3rd floor our view was mostly a large field, but interesting as we watched them bring in cargo containers (imagining how they possibly manoeuvred them on St Lucia roads). We also watched various boats pass on the waterway heading into the marina. Both the pool and beach were lovely. On our first day the beach was very busy, security helped us secure two beach chairs in a wonderful spot under a tree. There were solicitors on the beach, but you just have to tell them you weren’t interested. I would recommend this resort. LikeThe breakfast buffet, the pool area. The beach was lovely. The staff were always very helpful. Clean and tidy. Changing rooms was seamless!Improve Not too fond of their afternoon/evening meals. Choices, quality and value for dollar were lacking. We only ate there a couple times. To doBaywalk Mall- take the shuttle, Pigeon Island- water taxi. Excursions. Our 1st week was near Soufriere, Tet Paul Trail & Diamond Botanical Garden #1!
Last minute change to our plans to St Lucia found me booking 3 nights at this hotel fairly last minute. Well I wished I had booked a much longer stay, 3 nights was far too short.Lovely smallish hotel on beach. Very good facilities, small gym, nice jacuzzi by pool, good loungers on beach, well furnished bedroom and bathroom, good choice and quality breakfasts, friendly helpful staff. The hotel I would say was only about half full so my experience maybe biased because of this and if it was full then perhaps it might feel too busy but I found it to be just the balance for me.Ate in the Seagrapes restaurant one night which was very good. Had a nice massage on the beach at the hotel canbana which was lovely.Plenty of restaurants nearby and short walk to shops.I really enjoyed my all too brief stay and if I return to Dt Lucia I would make sure I would return and stay longer.,
The ambience is nice The setup was .great Definitely a first date location The fish is fresh and tastes goodI had a volcano rolls. Very good. I scored it excellent just because of the setup.st lucia is surly the place to be.
We spent a long weekend here and really enjoyed ourselves. It is relatively inexpensive and right on the beach. Food is a bit expensive and I would not recommend the all-inclusive option. Everyone was friendly and seemed to be trying very hard to accommodate people. The Spa is highly recommended by my wife for quality and price. Our room had a mini fridge and was supposed to have a microwave, which they sent up after we asked.Pluses:- Inflatable water park right off the beach.- Nice beach with shade and lounge chairs.- Excellent views- Easy walk to restaurants and grocery stores.- Friendly staff.- 10 minutes from Pigeon Island.Beds and sheets very comfortable.- Maintenance staff extremely quick and professional.Minuses:- About 90 minutes from Hewanorra Airport (UVF) over winding roads and mountains- Not convenient to most island sights (snorkeling, volcano, ziplines, Capital, etc.)- Onsite food is expensive.- Nice size room but there is very little desk space, especially with microwave.- Not soundproofed, could hear next door TV in middle of night, and booze-cruise that leaves from marina blasts unbelievably-loud music when coming and goingNotes:- No elevator in 3-story buildings so if stairs are an issue ensure that you will be on the ground floor- All beaches on St Lucia are public, so there are hawkers on the beach but they were not too insistent if you said "No." - There are a couple of cats that hang out by the High Tide Restaurant.
