Pampering Perfection

From warm welcome to fond farewell, my husband and I were treated to the ultimate retreat at BodyHoliday in St. Lucia. The food was delicious and fresh with incredible selection that would satisfy any palate. Our room was incredibly comfortable and relaxing with a sea-side balcony where we sat out in the evening to gaze at the night sky. We indulged in different body treatments including a couple's Swedish Full Body Massage, Infrared Detox Sauna, Thalgo Oxygen Facial, and an Ayurvedic head and foot treatment ideally named Heaven & Earth; all of which left us relaxed and rejeuvenated. There was an incredible live band in the evening as well as a DJ afterwards, both playing to the entertaining satisfaction of the guests who attended. There truly is something for everyone at this island treasure. More activities and body treatments than one can imagine; more than enough selection of "things to do". And if you'd rather, sun, sand, and sea to meet your bare, pampered feet and allow your soul to soak in some natural vitamin D. I highly recommend this island treasure, will definitely be time hoping to stay longer. This was one getaway I was anxious about leaving - I didn't want to go home.

Another wonderful week

I never return to the same place, but this has been my third visit here. They have really got the formula right. It offers a completely unique experience and absolutely does restore you physically and mentally. The service is truly wonderful and the attention to every detail meticulous. All the staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful. The spa treatments are some of the best I have ever had. Planning a trip for next February already!

Beautiful Place... But Not A 5 Star

I'm well travelled and have been to some very highend resort/spas around the world. I enjoyed my holiday here. The staff is amazing and will go out of their way for you. Food seemed to be repetitive and drinks were great. One night there was only one restaurant open, which I thought was ridiculous. The portions at Tao make you leave feeling hungry. The daily class schedule was pretty impressive. I was not impressed with the spa, Inexperienced staff. The rooms are not modern as they say, need updating. I didn't like that the bottled water was in a refill bottle and I was surprised they didn't have room service. They promote it being an adults only resort but there were screamimg kids on the beach. Being Canadian I did not feel I got my moneys worth. But I see why so many come from the UK to this spot, as they would pay less than half what I paid. But that still wouldn't make it a 5 star resort.

Very disappointed in this resort

My husband and I came to Body Holiday to relax after having been through a family trauma. We like to explore the islands we visit and always rent a car and drive around. Although we do not regret doing that, we did not get good a good map or directions out to the resort from the Body Holiday staff (and they forgot to give us our complimentary snack and water bottles). A long 2 1/2 hours later, we got to the north end of the island on our own with only a few wrong turns, but once we got to that area, we couldn't find the resort! There were no Body Holiday signs, it was dark, and we even stopped at the police station where we were ignored and no one knew what Body Holiday was or how to get there! Better directions and signs would have been helpful from the resort as the map they provided was insufficient! When we were brought to our room, it appeared lovely however there was a massive bathtub in the middle of the room and a HUGE out of proportion bench at the end of our bed. Tired and hungry we commented that we would request to have the bench removed as we hadn't anywhere to put our luggage in this furniture packed room. The closet was very small and there wasn't any room for our luggage! Although it was newly renovated and pretty, the furniture placement didn't make sense. The shower leaked all over the tile floor into the sink area causing us to use all of our towels to mop up the excess water.Unfortunately, at 3 am, my husband got up to use the lav and he smashed his left foot on the bench that allowed only 18" to pass by between the dresser and bench. I was unaware of this and in the morning at 6 am got up to go to a tai chi class and I smashed my right foot on the same bench! I ended up back in bed, couldn't even walk and called the front desk to deliver ice to me. I hadn't even been at the resort 12 hours yet and I hurt myself???? 2 hours later my toe was so badly swollen and painful that I couldn't walk on it. I called management who did NOTHING and made light of the situation. I have since discovered upon my return home that I broke my toe at the joint. It is still quite painful and I came home frustrated and tired from a journey that was not rejuvenating. This was the beginning of a lousy vacation for us and not the vacation and restful time we had hoped for. Once I finally made it down to the main area of the resort, I was very limited in what I could do. Our room was quite far away so I had to pack up for the whole day, hobble down to the main beach and basically stayed there with my foot in a bucket of ice all day. I did get a golf cart ride up to the spa but was sad the whole time because I was watching others in their workout clothes taking tai chi, yoga and fitness classes that I couldn't enjoy. I was also concerned about protecting my foot and was limited in spa treatments as a result. All of the activities I had hoped to participate in were off limits to me as I could NOT do them because I was injured. THAT was a huge disappointment to me as I am very active and athletic and it was one of the main reasons we decided to go to this resort.NOT ONCE did the management try to do anything to make this up to us. Not a complimentary bottle of wine...NOTHING!! A gesture would have been nice. Eventually upon request, one manager got me a gel cream for my foot and epsom salts because it was external but there was no anti-inflammatory available on property and I had to ask another guest if they had any in order to get some. The story is very upsetting to tell, but after a number of altercations with the management, we finally learned who the owner was and went to him. Again, barely an acknowledgement of our frustration and we were left feeling more than disappointment in them as business owners. We were given a small insufficient token towards a future stay and WOW not so sure we would ever come back folks!!! Not if I have to go to such lengths to get a mere apology (which we never got) for our disappointment in this company and it's management. Once you get to Body Holiday, that is all you will experience. Body Holiday. It is a small cove and some guests were just walking back and forth on the beach so they could walk on a beach. There was a smell of dead fish because fishermen come and cast their nets each morning and when my husband went snorkeling all he saw for fish were the ones that were captured behind nets for the fishermen to come back and retrieve later in the day. Very small beach and nothing to do outside of the resort. Thankfully we had rented a car and after 4 nights we had planned to check out and tour the island. We really loved the people of the island, they were very respectful of tourists and we are glad we were able to see the wonderful attractions on the south side of the island. We were very glad to leave this resort, where we were bored, so we could experience the beauty and local people of St. Lucia!

Honey Moon

This is truly an amazing place to visit. My wife and I experienced a complete body reset, a captivating experience for couples. The majority adult environment and the scenic view captures true paradise. The staff hired are truly dedicated to the resort and offer services with a smile every day.The hill of massage therapist is truly amazing. I recommend the synchronized massage. Completely breathe taking. (My wife and I had two unique massages a day) In addition the easy access to local attractions made this hotel number one in my book. (Get your body back, visit the Body Holiday)
