BodyHoliday at LeSPORT
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
My husband and I returned from the Body Holiday hotel 3 days ago, this was our first visit and most certainly not the last. We tend to shy away from all-inclusive but this was perfect.Staff - 10/10, especially the fitness team, extremely professional and very good instructors. Exercise options - 10/10 You can do as little or as much as you like. We averaged 3 classes per day starting with a bootcamp/circuits class on the beach followed by a 45 minute stretch and then pilates. You can join the team for morning walks, have tennis or golf lessons, take part in open water swims. The classes cater for all levels of fitness from to those who having been exercising hard for 30 years!SPA - 10/10 - Pure indulgence nothing more to say.Food - 8.5/10 - I am a vegetarian and was very well catered for. Breakfast very good, TAO is a lovely restaurant with good options and Cariblue (?) very good although as it is so big lacked atmosphere in the evening.Entertainment - 8/10 - Live band/DJ every night which generally was very good, sometimes finished a little early 11 - 11.30. Piano Bar quite an experience but after going 1 night we found ourselves there most nights being entertained by the wonderful Alfred on piano.Rooms - 7/10 - The room we stayed in was rather dated (some have been renovated but not ours), but they were clean and lots of hot water and it was serviced twice daily.(We did not sit on our balcony once as we were keen to use all the wonderful facilities the hotel has to offer)Beach - 8/10 - Very clean, not terribly big but enough room for everyone.Would we go again? Most definitely, hopefully this year. Came back immediately and told my sister to start saving as she will love it and I would like to go with her next year. (btw she does not exercise but I know she will love the SPA and enjoy the more relaxed classes.
I had previously visited the Rendezous - sister hotel with my husband & had the most amazing holiday & overall was somewhat disappointed with the Body Holiday. It is a haven for divorced, single or widowed women looking for a man which somewhat lowered my expectations. It was a shock to my system as I was just trying to have a relaxing & peaceful holiday. There is lots to do. Sadly the weather was somewhat inclement with awful rain storms & the sand flies were dreadful. I also got a cockroach in my room, several in the corridor as well as tree frogs & a smaller frog. My room was quite damp smelling, there were no curtains & the blinds didn't fit properly. The furniture was dark & depressing. The bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was reasonable, but not to the standard of the beautiful bright rooms in our Seaside Suite at The Rendezvous. I apologise for sounding negative but I was very downhearted as it was an expensive holiday & I anticipated a better experience. I wouldn't consider it value for money. The food was fine but not as good as The Rendezvous with a lack of variety in the fish & little seafood. However the restaurant Tao was superb. The spa was nice but quite a climb & I was limited to which treatments due to a back problem. Overall not my favourite holiday.
The proportion of repeat guests is the resort's best testament. The trainers and the classes are excellent. We wanted to run and swim so didn't take as much advantage of this as others. The running was great as it is very scenic but be prepared for steep hills. Food and rooms were very good but perhaps not quite at the level of top 5 star resorts. The island is beautiful.
It is said that at any time 1 in 2 of the guests have stayed at the hotel before and it’s easy to see why.Located on the tranquil and idyllic hideaway of the beautiful Cap Estate the hotel offers so much to so many. As many others we The staff, location, food, amenities and everything concerning the resort could not be bettered in the Caribbean. The Staff They are without doubt the stars of the show. They are well-trained, courteous, warm, welcoming and always greet you with a warm smile. More over unlike many larger hotel operators they are allowed to think for themselves and put right any little problem on the spot. They are helpful, friendly, attentive and trained to a very high standard. They are always smiling and they make the place a delight to visit. Activities You may participate in as much or as little activity as you wish, there is no pressure, so don’t be put off by thinking the resort is full of keep fit fanatics however if you wished to fill you day from dusk to dawn with activities its easily done. That said you may throw yourself into the countless activities available each and every day. The Spa The staff at the spa are well trained and pleasant. The treatments are varied and the ability to switch treatments is always available. Tendells TreatmentIf you have never had a Bhutanese massage it’s a must as Tendell offers the most relaxing and invigorating massage on the resort. I guarantee you we leave walking on air. It’s a must do but book early as he gets very busy.Pools & BeachThere are two pools and a well-kept clean beach. (There is another pool up at the spa) The Restaurants Three restaurants and an all day deli cater of every taste. The main restaurant is more formal with an extensive choice of at least four main and four first courses. TAO is a little more difficult to obtain a reservation and is east west fusion restaurant. The clubhouse is overlooking the sea and runs a buffet most nights and waiter service on one night. Its location is superb with the Caribbean sea lapping up to the pristine beach.Particular thanks to Sandy, Martina, Wendell, Zane, Javid and all of the team for making this a wonderful vacation. The main restaurant is Carib Blue, which has four choices of entrée, main and dessert. Carib blue windows, which offers a tapas style taster and the beach restaurant that offers an excellent buffet. In particular thanks to the ever-cheerful Alison and the ever-helpful Sherman and of course the wonderful Joseph who is great on the Friday night sunset cruise. The activities team and water sports The activities team are helpful and supportive and seem to be available at any time. The water sports team offer first class wake boarding, water ski and hobi cat lessons are once again could not be more helpful. The team in the centre are attentive and have great empathy with the guest’s. In particular thanks to Sherman and Dennis. The rooms The rooms are arguably the best in the Caribbean and the amenities provided ample. I believe some are due for an upgrade this summer, taking into account it is the Caribbean the rooms were clean and well appointed (no TV’s but a big screen TV is in the Library) The piano bar and entertainment The Piano bar It’s a great place to meet before or after dinner with the incomparable Alfred playing five nights a week. The entertainment is arranged nightly however it does not take over the resort as it does in many hotels. There are different bands playing every night until 11. All of them are excellent and they play in the beach restaurant area. The Gym and activities teamThe team are most helpful and always greet you with enthusiasm no matter what your age and ability and are always willing to help. The gym is well appointed with everything you could ever wish to have. All in all an experience that’s hard to beat.
Visited BodyHoliday in August 2017. The resort is expansive, with three pools a spa, tennis courts, beach area, 5 restaurants and more. Rooms kept to a high standard every day. Resort staff are very friendly, I was always greeted with a warm Hello. Food was fantastic - so much choice. I recommend the Tropical Booster smoothies from the Deli. So many activities to keep you busy and the spa free daily spa treatments were a bonus! Can't wait to return one day!
