There are many positives to Coco Palms. The pool is great, and it's around a 10 minute walk to Reduit Beach and also very close to the mall and plenty of restaurants and bars. However, we were in the rear building which is in desperate need of updating and rather noisy. (A particular highlight was being woken up at around 7am on Sunday morning by some sort of drum and bass influenced Sunday service!) breakfast is also distinctly ordinary, and given the charges I would recommend opting for a room in the main building - or somewhere better.
Great 12 night stay in this lovely hotel. Rooms in the main building have all you need; air con, ceiling fan, safe, iron and Ironing board, coffee maker, tv, hairdryer, fridge etc. Room attendants are thorough and helpful. Garden view rooms are great if you want total peace and quiet.Lunch and dinner are mainly a la carte with a very good selection to choose from including soups, salads, pasta, beef, chicken, lamb, fish, seafood etc. Drink selection is great too, they have a very nice sparkling wine which is included in their AI rate. The staff are superb particularly Dwight, Shady, Ash, Patricia, Princess, Curline, Kurt, Sallyne, Octavia and Lise, I would really liked to have named them all as they were so friendly and helpful.Entertainment is low key and occurs at the weekends, there was a particularly good country and western band one night who had everyone singing and dancing. Peppy is very knowledgable and helpful if you wish to book trips.Front desk staff could do with taking lessons from other staff here, we found them to not very helpful and not very friendly either. The only other thing is that when the hotel is at full capacity there are no courtesy rooms available for those guests who have later flights, they do not even offer showers in the gym or spa for you to use. So you either have to shower before you check out at 12 and then sit in the lobby for six hours to keep cool or get changed in a toilet cubicle and wash in a hand basin! Not great when you have a very long journey ahead of you.
We had a great stay at the Coco Palm for 10days/9nights. A special thanks to Ms Peppy Albert, Head Concierge! :) She did a wonderful job of helping us pick some trips and great drivers to discover the island. The breakfast staff did a fantastic job keeping us well fed. Yum Yum I will miss the breakfast and the staff! The groundskeepers, housekeepers and rest of the Coco Palm family does a great job as well!Happy Independence Day to all of our new friends in St Lucia!!!
This boutique hotel did not wow me, but it had some high points. A spacious comfortable bedroom, on 3rd floor was well equipped. And just as well it had good noise proofing as the noise outside in late evening would have been annoying otherwise. Lunch in the restaurant was a positive talking point- shrimps were excellent and service friendly. There is a large pool and plenty of sun loungers in shade and sun. It's also only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The downsides- buffet breakfast and lunch was run of the mill. Plenty of choice but no wow factor. All in all, for the price it was good value.
Another great holiday at the coco palm hotel this is our 3rd visit and we were not disappointed. The staff are happy to see us and greet us like old friends the food is very good with a great choice of menu and the chance to eat in the Creole restaurant attached to the hotel for a more authentic menu. The rooms are very comfortable and we always choose the garden rooms as they overlook the beautiful gardens with a chance to see the hummingbirds and the view of the mountains. Don't be disappointed that the hotel is not on the beach but it is only a short walk to get to it and with the excellent food your served you will need a morning walk!
