Not what I expected

This resort is beautiful... just missing the ocean front but that's ok. We had paid extra for a private swim up pool... there are 5 swim up pool rooms. My husband and I had one room and his friends (a couple ) got another swim up room. There is a bridge separating the main pool from ours but people that did not pay for a "private" pool have been going under the bridge and coming to our "private" pool. The only ones that should have access to the "private" pool should be those 5 rooms that paid for it no one else. We have told management numerous times, they are good about telling the people that we paid extra and they should t be in this section but it keeps happening ! How many times are we going to go to management... they should have a sign telling people this is a private section for those that paid for it ! I woke up to a bunch of people screaming and playing in our part of the pool one day and they did not have a swim up room ! The food is very good but not the all inclusive I expected... it's the same menu nearly everyday and meals 3 times a day only . Also they only have two restaurants. Bar and kitchen closes at 11... and it's bottom shelf liquor, if u want top shelf u need to pay extra . Once in a while they have entertainment that's good, bands singing , but they should have a it daily like other all inclusive resorts. House keeping is awesome and the baristas are awesome as well. I wouldn't stay here again , they need to improve on all those things I mentioned.

It has it's good parts & some not so good parts!

I'm on my second day at this hotel. I don't normally write these reviews until I've left but I feel I need to do it now.I arrived at about 10.30 - 11.00am & was greeted by some lovely, friendly staff. To my shock my room was ready & I was allowed to go straight up to my room. I was also given a welcome cocktail which was a nice touchMy room is the Kreole Standard Room. This is in the oldest part of the building, away from the nice newer bit. I was told lots of information on my walk to my room. It was actually too much information & I also found it difficult to understand what I was being told because of his strong accent. He told me, breakfast times, wifi code, talked about the safe etc. It was a lot to take in. The building looks reasonably well kept from the initial first look. The inside is very quaint & pretty. It's the other side which is facing the rd that is my bone of contention. I'll talk about that later. The room is quite nice, better than I thought it would be( see pics). Only real issue is that the Tv should be mounted on the wall, that's nothing major though & I haven't had the pleasure of a hot shower & i've had 4 so far! Maybe hot water isn't included in the cost! Talking of showers the complimentary shampoo & shower gel, smell awful. I wouldn't want to smell of it! I was wondering if it's citronella based ( used to ward off mosquitos). The Air conditioning isn't brilliant but that could be because of the old patio door & windows. The patio, if you want to call it that, is practically nonexistent, two people couldn't be on it at once. It has an old chair & the cooling unit which chucks out hot air. The curtains don't close fully & as its on a main rd I've been getting ready in the bathroom, I'm not an exhibitionist! My main issue for the low rating is the bar which is next door. I came in on Thursday & the bar had a karaoke night which didn't end till 2ish. It was so loud, it was as if I was there. It got so bad at one point that I got up at 10.30pm got washed ( cold shower) & joined them; no i didn't have a good time! I probably won't get any sleep for the next two nights either:(Positive: security are visible I did ask if I could pay for an upgrade but was told they were full :( but are they?... It doesn't look that full!On a positive note, the one breakfast I've had was lovely. They had a wide choice of foods for everyone to choose from. My only little gripe is that the tea was stewed & the milk for the cereal tasted weird. There lots of sun loungers but some people save them with their towels. Good point: beach towels are provided at reception.A major issue that I have is that their website states:"As it is an older building, the standard and layout is different from Coco Palm rooms. All the amenities and facilities are the same as the main building"This was taken from their website. They are not the same at all! 1: there's no ceiling fan2: no illuminated magnifying mirrors3: no separate hand - held spray for the shower etc4: no cordless phone with DD- whatever that is!5: no key card entry to your room. You're given a key with a massive wooden key ring on. Just a couple more points: :the wifi drops out all the time around the whole complex: there should be a welcome pack in the room giving you details of where everything is & numbers to callSleep quality only got 1 circle for the noise factor only. The bed is actually very comfortable. I would give the bed quality 4

This was my 5th visit to St. Lucia and I always stayed at Coco Palm. I love everything about this place. Great staff and service. 5 min walk to mall and beach and we were in the middle of everything. There is also a bank by the hotel in case you needed to change currency. Favorite place away from home.

Great honeymoon stay

Our stay at this resort was both relaxing and fantastic. Our room and view were great. It was our first time on the island and even though it was our honeymoon we didn't just want to lay by the pool we wanted to be able to see the sights and experience if not all , some of what the island had to offer. Our concierge Peppy, understood this and took the time to sit with us and work out an activities package that was best suited for us. Our picnic on Pigeon Island was picturesque, with all the picnic amenities being provided by the resort. ( one of our activities)Our stay was booked as an all inclusive package and the food and drinks from the respective restaurants on the resort left nothing to be desired. I suffer with food allergies and on arrival i made mention of it to Peppy, who made sure to make a not of it and send it to every restaurant on the resort , this way once i gave my room number at a restaurant, the staff knew which ingredients i couldn't have near my food ( for someone with food allergies THIS IS A BIG DEAL!!)Our stay was great and I would definitely go back again, the staff were amazing and made you feel welcomed.
