We stayed at Coco Palm resort for one week. We had a third floor room (320) and we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. We cannot fault the hotel in anyway. The room was immaculate with two large double beds. The beds were always made up and the room cleaned daily. Flat screen TV as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was fabulous. Breakfast was amazing - plentiful and lots of choice - pastries, omelettes, salads, fruits, yoghurts, breads, sausages, bacon, wedges, tuna fish, juices, tea. coffee! Fabulous. We found that we didn't need to each lunch which made enjoying our supper all the better. The bar and pool area is relaxing. The loungers around the pool had mattressss which made them comfortable and pool towels are provided. The pool was clean and albeit a bit cold on entry, very nice. The staff are all a credit to the hotel from Peppy on concierge to the delightful Princess. If we visit St Lucia again, we would have no hesitation in staying back at Coco Palm.
I visited Coco Palm in November 2015 with my two friends and we had the swim up room. It was delightful! From the food, to our day time adventures...Coco palm is a steal of a deal and I would definitely recommend to anyone!
You instantly know it's a good hotel when nearly all of the staff are still there - they know your name - your seating preference - what you normally drink and eat. We like the new uniforms and re-branding - the extension in the restaurant provides much needed extra covers (we did not have to stand in line for dinner this time) and the a/c section some privacy and quiet should it be needed. Whilst we were there we saw the re-vamp of the bar and 2 huge TVs installed and the Chairmans lounge was just about ready. Rooms have been repainted-new curtains and full length mirror are very much appreciated. The pool drink service is also a new concept and it's a great idea bringing round ice water and drinks to guests. There are many reasons why we return to Coco Palm:-1.The staff are genuinely friendly and have the balance just right - when not busy they all love to chat - laugh and make sure your'e enjoying yourself. (and dance)! Its very obvious they are a good team - when it's busy at the bar a waitress steps in - vice versa in the restaurant where Demetrius takes over. Good service all round,2. Meal arrangements - the food is very good - we really like being served at the table and having our drinks bought to us (a lot of A/I 4-5* hotels in Europe are all buffet and pour/fetch your own drinks).3. Location - We like to go shopping - use the post office - bank - other bars - restaurants - nightclubs - kareeokee etc - barbers - hairdressers - and the beach less than 5 minutes. This is a SAFE location - the hotel is ideal for cruisers wanting a break before/after their cruise - or both.4. Facilities - there is free wi-fi - free internet access in the lobby - very good concierge service and a very well equiped gym which the General Manager uses on a Sunday - he always makes sure there's towels - cold water and that it's tidy.5. PRICE - we belong to the programme "family and friends" and it recognises and rewards returning guests and recommendations. We recently stayed for 4 weeks on an A/I basis which we booked directly with Claudine Gilbert - marketing and reservations - we did a private transfer from/to the airport and bought in airline tickets during the BA sale -(or Virgin - preference) - BA & Virgin holidays same period were £2k extra for 2 of us - we had some free nights from Coco - but still a significant saving. It's difficult to single out F&B staff - we had exceptional service from all - but all the departments - security gave a friendly smile and wave - gardening, the new joiner is Ingrid - a talkative guest or rain won't stop her working - she puts a clear plastic bag over her head and carries on. Housekeeping (young woman, very slim) does turn-down at night also carries suitcases nearly as big as her when there's loads of guests. Princess is always a star - lends us a pillow from home everytime we come - when "walking the deck" she owns it and gives tremendous pool service.F&B Mention in despatches - Syril, give him a line about cricket and you've got a friend for life - Janette, best d**n waitress/dancer in St Lucia. Congratulations Aldrick on your promotion - Daniel unconcious comedian. Thanks to Sam for the lippy, just mentioned I liked hers and she brought me in some - but all led by a very hardworking Wayne who seems to have brought in some good entertainment over the weekend - overseen all the F&B improvements and is doing a good job.We saw some guests handing over boxes of Milk Tray to the F&B staff - they really appreciate it - also girlie/gossip magazines and Saline only likes dark chocalate - Princess very appreciative of some health foods, nuts and seeds etc (all very expensive in St Lucia). To pass the time we went on a "freebie" to a newly completed 5* Canadian financed hotel, The Royalton on the Cap Estate on the north of the island. Couldn't wait to get back to Coco Palm - We reviewed it and gave it 3***We recommend Coco Palm - it is what it is - but please don't tell anyone about it!
Coco palm is a beautiful hotel.Rooms were immaculate with double bed full bathroom. Flat screen TV. Fridge. Table and chairs. View from room was a tree but that never really mattered. No balconies but this really didn't bother us.Swimming pool was lovely. Sunbeds had a nice mattress on them so comfortable. COCKTAILS wow the best I have ever had. There is a snacks menu available just ask at the bar.Alot of people didn't no there was one.Food was lovely but became repetitive after a week.Certain dishes had a charge for example the lamb was $12 but it was delicious. Breakfast was the best for choice. The omelettes were my favourite. The beach is a five minute walk through the car park then across the road and down a little walkway.WOW the beach is breathtaking..We went one day and there were literally only 10 people there.Sellers come along offer you coconuts other fruits ++.There is a bar to the left of the beach to purchase cold lagers and soft drinks. We did have to watch our belongings a group of girls stood right next to another couples sunbeds. We had heard they pretend to meet up and then one watches while the others swipe your belongings. I went back to our sunbeds and they soon dissappeared but apart from that we always felt very safe. There is a shopping complex across the road.We thought it was rubbish but there is a good sized supermarket which we used. There is an Indian restaurant which people raved about and a dominos pizza just outside complex...Great trips available we did half a day in a minibus driving around to certain points of interest. Then to the stinking mud baths.Stop for lunch then the next couple of hours on a boat .Lovely trip.I walk with a stick and I didn't find anything too difficult. We flew from airport in a helicopter which was fantastic. Then got a taxi booked back which is a long journey but comfortable. 1 and a half hoursEntertainment is usually a band in the evening very pleasant. Great for adults but I'd say boring for kids as nothing for them but to be honest I only saw about 4 children anyway. There is a small selection of books in reception so no need to take one, I read 3 books of there's whilst there.I have to say the staff are wonderful. We found on check out another couple were given a voucher for room upgrade if they stayed again..We didn't get one maybe our faces didn't fit.lolIn all I absolutely loved this holiday. Coco palm is a little gem.
The Coco Palm experience was definitely pleasant. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was presented beautifully, and there was a variety of food from which to choose. The lazy river-style pool was certainly a plus! My room was decorated stylishly and colorfully. I stayed in one of the Kreole Village rooms, facing the street, and across from a karaoke bar. I love street noise, so sitting on the balcony watching people try to sing latest hits was awesome. However, of you need quietness to sleep, definitely opt for one of the other rooms. I enjoyed my stay, the only shortcoming was that our room (the Bambou room) had a bit of a sinking area under the floor near the bed, but I just didn't step on it, and I was fine. I recommend this hotel highly.
