amazing awesome fab (just 3 words i would use)

omg this is the best place and holiday me and my wife have ever been to!!we booked this for our 10th wedding anniversary and it did not fail!!we stayed in the adults harmony side for 6 days then after being upgraded we stayed and the amazing serenity sidethe resort is just amazing from the time (5 mins only from the airport) to getting a welcome drink and cold towel when we arrived just was a great start!!the resort has everything you need, the rooms are fab, very clean and the maids were just brill in keeping it all clean and tidy and the restaurants, bars, evening entertainment and pools were amazing!!...even the sunbeds on the harmony adults side had a moving bottom so you could move it where the sun was :) I will say what made our amazing holiday was the staff!!...so friendly and always wanted to help and at the restaurants couldn't help you enough!!I will say the serenity complex is just one amazing place with a Jacuzzi with water running from the wall in the outside of your (I call it a small house) and a bar, hammock, sunbeds and a outside shower which is all sectioned off by walls (this is what you call a private house) we will definitely be back in 5 years or before!!THANKYOU COCONUT BAY FOR THE AMAZING HOLIDAY

Lovely hotel for our honeymoon

We spent a week here as part of our honeymoon, after 3 nights in New York. We just wanted to chill out and relax for a bit. It was a lovely hotel and was really nice to have a completely separate adults area. We were bumped up to a suite and had specialist concierge service. We'd definitely recommend this if you can afford it.You get speedy check in and get 2 bottles of spirits in your room for the week! The hotel was lovely and airy with nice bars and a good restaurant, that not only did theme nights but also took the food outside and had BBQs and dinner on the grass. This was a great experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly, bringing drinks to you whilst you relaxed. We also had a couples' massage in the spa which was good and well worth the money. They offer lots of treatments and it just adds to the relaxing experience. The only downside was being so close to the airport and really in the middle of nowhere. Luckily there aren't many flights though so you didn't have lots of planes flying over you all the time.It was a thoroughly relaxing and if we had the money we would definitely return.

Relaxing environment with great staff

We spent six day at the resort. It is a beautiful property with clean accommodations, great food and great staff. The staff will take great care of you and make sure you are well taken care off. Thanks to Alden (concierge) Persia, Princess ( bars tenders) and Sam (Activities Manager) I think that was her name. They all made the stay very special for me and my family. Thank you for everything

Nice but don't stay here if you want an authentic St Lucia experience

We stayed at the Coconut Bay Resort for three nights. Before we checked in here, we spent 7 nights in the north of the island, in Rodney Bay. During this time we experienced amazing local cuisine, super friendly staff and gorgeous beaches. As soon as we got to Coconut Bay Resort (which we booked to relax a little at the end of our trip) we were SO DISAPPOINTED :(The buffet food for breakfast, lunch and dinner is more than disappointing. A lot of fried stuff, clearly made to feed the mass of American and British tourists. The few local options they have are really disappointing and far away from what we were used to from the food we've had the week before. The service is not the best, for example when we were almost done eating we finally got offered some coffee with breakfast. There's a ton of birds flying around in the Restaurant area and I don't even wanna start talking about all the flies which are sitting on the food.We tried the buffet food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then decided to give the restaurants a try. We made a reservation for the Asian restaurant. Nothing special either...For our last night we booked a private romantic cabana dinner - for $129. The setting was super romantic and nice, very quiet and private and you were sitting above the ocean which was nice because you could hear the waves underneath you. I guess that's what you pay for because it couldn't have been the food - which UNFORTUNATELY was super disappointing too. We really expected a little more for a $129 dinner. The starter and the appetizer course were clearly just leftovers from the breakfast and lunch buffet!! (Smoked salmon on a thin cut bagel from breakfast and then a veggie wrap from the lunch buffet...) Also the dessert was the same stuff you get at the dinner buffet, they called it 'Chef's variety' or something like that and it was really just small pieces of cake which you get offered at dinner buffet. The only positive thing about the dinner was the main course - we had steak and lamb chops, which were both cooked perfectly. It seams like this was the only dish they cooked fresh. When we booked the dinner we were also promised to get a bottle of champagne - which we only got after specifically asking for it. The dinner was nice - but only because the scenery was so romantic. Better save your money, grab a plate from the buffet and eat it at the beach. Same experience with no extra cost ;-)We tried the Jerk Chicken and also the fresh baked pizza for lunch the other days and they were both delicious! Seems to be the best options. We stayed at the Harmony part of the resort, which was nice and quiet and also the pools and cabanas to lay in at the beach were super nice. The drink service during the day was perfect. The pools were really crowded and loud on the splash side of the resort, so were are glad that we decided to stay on the harmony side. We also had a couples tranquility massage, which was phenomenal. All in all I would say it's a decent resort and a nice relaxing end of our trip if you don't really care about good quality food. Because we do we probably won't stay here again, but rather chose one of the smaller, more familiar resorts on the North of the island.
