Our 4th visit and again a great holiday - although majority of the management and staff were very happy and attentive we must mention a few who made our holiday that bit more special - Hannah, Areau and Dominique in the Harmony breakfast, our housekeeper Pearl, Benji, Maz, Carlo and Elton in the Capri, Kerdy at Paradise beach, Sadie and Chard in the Calabash, Titi, Kenny and Etto in Coconut Walk and Irma and Sherisa in SilksThe management teams under Karl work hard around the resort for the enjoyment of the guests and Chris always ensure the guests are made to feel specialWe only have one downside and that is the live music/dancing in the lobby should continue until at least 10.30 pm and the Capri should have an authentic Italian atmosphereWe have many great memories - so until the next visit
So I will start this with, I read all the Trip Advisor Reviews which were absolutely glowing.-- Top 10 in St Lucia, and went to the website- that was so professionally done and gorgeous....and then when we arrived...said -- "Where is that Resort?". I will not drone on.....except to warn folks who read all the glowing reviews- to set their expectations right. The hotel is 5 min from the airport- which is a blessing and a curse. It's fast to arrive and depart- but the location in no way reflects what one would expect on the gorgeous lush island of St. Lucia. I had been at Anse Chastente years earlier...and expected that...and didn't get any of that....The wind was relentless....making beach volleyball ridiculously challenging...albeit a work out for the family and the kids. The resort is tired, needs paint and rooms are quaint but not what one would expect given the pictures and reviews. The food...was amazing...all around- except the Italian restaurant. By far we loved SILK and there is nothing better than their outdoor barbecues. The St. Lucian Cowboy entertainment hoe down was fun and the singer was excellent. We left having both a wonderful time...as we set our expectations lower....but were disappointed at the onset. The wind never gave up...and we couldn't swim in the ocean.I warn the travellers who are looking for the resort in the reviews and the website. All in all we made the best of it...but I hope you make sure you are clear on what you are getting...as we were hooped.
Would highly recommend this resort to families or couples. They have put a great deal of thought into the layout to keep everyone separate but there was ample choices of recreation for all.The food was good - we really enjoyed 2 of the 3 al a carte restaurants as well we paid to have what is called the "La Luna" dinner by the ocean - it was superb. There were 2 nights that were dining outdoors - one was an island theme - the other country and western - both were excellent and the entertainment was great. The country and western singer was very good. The Charity Casino is a must - for a great cause and loads of fun. All of the singers and music were excellent.Alcohol is all premium brands. All of the staff are friendly - always smile and always speak to you - they work very hard.Never an issue to find loungers. They also have what are called "sun scape beds" - they are awesome. The spa is very nice - Sharika is amazing.Housekeeping was superb - Ketra runs a tight ship in housekeeping and everything is done in a timely manner. All of the staff at the Island Tour centre were knowledgeable and helpful. We completed the Land and Sea and the ATV tours. One of our parties also completed the bike tour and enjoyed it as well. Its a beautiful island - rich in heritage. You are only 5 minutes from the airport. Our only complaint - the Italian restaurant could definitely use a make over in my humble opinion. Learn to make a decent risotto -keep the anti pasti bar filled- revamp the menu.Suggestion - It would appear that your intent is to meet the food tastes of Canadians and Americans - but we would have loved to had more of your island foods - fresh fish etc We actually ate off the resort to experience this - you have access to such wonderful foods. All in all - great stay.
Just home , was there with my wife for two weeks. We were in the 'Harmony' adults area, rooms were clean and spacious, beach and pool areas immaculate. Great staff , really friendly. Variety of restaurants, food very good. The other side - 'Splash' , is for families . We can use their facilities so walked through a few times to use the 'Lazy river' and water slides, restaurants, theatre, etc. Loads to entertain the kids ! Highly recommended hotel.
We stayed at cbay for 2 weeks as a family of 4.quick transfer from airport to resort which was great. The food was fantastic we ate in the buffet most days and managed to go to silk,Capri and calabash the meals were unreal. All the staff were really friendly and worked so hard looking after the grounds, setting up the outside dining.we stayed on ground floor garden room which was perfect for us.we all enjoyed the pools and lazy river.loved paradise beach aswell, nice and breezy the kids went in the sea at this area.the resort also has free laundry facilities which was a bonus.entertainment was good,we don't have a bad word to say about this place and can't wait to come back next year😀 there is also a small shop to buy extra sun cream and other essentials that you might need.
