We stayed on Splash side. The slide and pools were great and alot of fun for kids. Entertainment at night was good and that staff was friendly. However... the front staff mostly were very rude and dissmisive. You can greet them with a smile and be kind... but you will not get it back... or it is selective. We felt like everything was a bother, that is a big statement because we are low maintenance. Our room wasnt cleaned on 2 seperate days and no coffee or water was refilled on another day. Calling front desk "friendly" asking if it is housekeeping or someone else who refills so we undrrstand... and then asking to please have coffee so we can have it for morning. They shrugged it odf and said ya we will send it now. My child was sleeping and I waited an hpur before going to sleep. No coffee came. You may feel like this isnt a big deal... when it takes awhile to get put in morning with little ones.. having coffee is nice. It shouldnt hace been missed. We disnt have a bar to lick patio door for safety that other rooms had and on a return to our room at 10pm all the lights were out in the whole strip of our section. Safe wasnt working. Back to daytime. Spending the day at pools and on slides... it seemed very difficult to find someone to bring refreshments. Maybe once a day and the cups were barely cleaned up in all pool areas. I dropped mine off but some dont. Towels. When you are with lityle ones and juggling all kinds of things getting towels should be easy. There are NO towels on family side! Puzzling. They are only on harmony adult side... for people who have more time and hands. You had to get towels there and walk to otherside of resort. Then go back to return them. Ive never experienced staff at a resort the way I experienced this trip. Now the people who are working hard cooking and serving are mostly friendly but the upper staff amd front desk staff were unbelievably rude and entitled. The resort was nice weatger beautifuk and pools and kids section great. It is very windy you should know, and there is no service other than the restaurants. Just an honest feed back for when you are deciding what you want in a vacation and what to get for the dollars you are paying. Value. I will not return to coconut bay resort ever, but I may return to St Lucia. As mentioned, we are low maintenance and kind amd dont usually write negative reviews but you need to know.
We had a great week at coconut bay. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks were unlimited and good. Top shelf liquor available. Entertainment at night was good. We especially liked the piano bar. Downside, swim up bar is attached to the kids bar and totally in the shade, would think it should be at adult only pool. No problem getting a lounge chair at any of the four pools. Overall a great time.
We just returned from a 7 night stay. The food was phenomenal every single meal. Tons of choices at every meal in the buffet. If you can’t find something to eat you are too picky...honestly I never left hungry once. The jerk treehouse was excellent and the snack bar/late night grill had excellent pizza and wings. Silk was good. Not high end Asian but still delicious. Calabash was decent. La Luna (the restaurant you pay extra for) was amazing. Each and every bartender we encountered was fantastic. They came to know you and what you like and without asking would have another lined up before you were done your first. The house wine was good and available and every restaurant (even the buffet) The spa was great. Had a couples massage on the beach and although it was windy it was the most relaxing time. The beach was good! Although it was windy we still swam in the ocean and relaxed in a hammock by the bar. Was it windy?? You bet it was but that’s not the resorts fault....The room was meh. We had requested a king room and they couldn’t accommodate us so we had two queens. Not ideal but we made due with what we were given. My only complaint was that the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking. Water dripping from the light housing. After a few attempts and nothing being done I gave up. If they didn’t care the roof was leaking why should I right? The entertainment was good on most nights. The staff really tried to make it fun for everyone. With anything you can’t please everyone. The pluses to this resort are you are only 5 minutes from the airport and we weren’t bothered by it at all. Maybe 5 planes out (not in, they land on the opposite side of the runway) and most of them being between 3-4pm. Tons of pool chairs and loungers. Never an issue getting a spot. This resort is big and doesn’t feel crowded at all. The adults only pool is the only pool we stayed at since we were there without kids. We did try the lazy river once and it was what was expected. You float around on a tube. We did go on an excursion and it was a full day and we saw everything we wanted to. The Pitons, went snorkeling and to the volcano and the mud bath. Edmonds tours is set up on the beach and he was phenomenal. Can’t say enough good things about him and the tour! And cheaper (by at least half) of what the hotel charges. I would love to come back to St lucia and even with the (minor) hiccups I would stay at Coconut Bay resort again
This was our first time at Coconut Bay and will not be our last. It was beautiful! If you want a quite beautiful vacation this is your place. This is on the atlantic side so we had to travel to the other side for the caribbean sea. We did not have to wait in lines for seating at the restaurants or bars. Our room was 252 in the harmony section. Adults only! We had an ocean view and also the grounds surrounding were beautiful. They have many pools. Kids and family, activity for everyone and a few just for adults! My best advice to anyone going is to make your reservations for the restaurants as soon as you get there. We ate at all four, the food was great as well as the service. We will add the food at the buffet was also great. No reservation needed there and the food is endless, they have 3 stations where someone is making something yummy while you wait. They chef is always walking around checking things making sure the buffet runs smooth. There is someone there for every need you will have. We took a tour of the island arranged at the hotel and Charlery was our driver and made sure we had a perfect day. If you want above perfection check out Serenity. WOW ! We hope to stay there on our next vacation!!! We just got home and so happy to have found Coconut Bay !
We are currently at Coconut bay in hotel rooms 135 Harmony. I have been here for 4 days and have 6 nights left. I have complained 4 times to front desk . The staff actually start playing music in the lobby at 5:00 and is LOUD and wakes me up every morning. I go in my Pajamas and tell them to turn it down. Please. Unbelievable I have to go back more than once. So annoying and I am wearing earplugs. The rooms have zero sound proofing. Horrible
