Relaxation in paradise

This is a boutique complex with individual / semi detached chalets each with its own small kitchen and outside seating area. There is a superb swimming pool complete with self service pool bar and a lounge to retire to when the sun gets just too hot. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all excellent but it is the staff that really make this place head and shoulders above others. This was our third holiday at East Winds and we feel we are part of the family. They call it paradise, it's better than that.

Amazing Eastwinds

Well, what can I say, which hasn't been said already?An absolutely perfect location for our "Holwedmoon" (holiday, wedding and honeymoon).The accommodation was fantastic. The staff genuinely lovely and friendly. The food superb and the grounds were immaculate.Our whole stay was a delight.The cottage rooms are set in the grounds of the resort, whilst the ocean view rooms overlook the sea. We stayed in both types as our ocean view room wasn't quite ready due to refurbishment, and we actually preferred the cottage rooms - more space and bigger bathrooms.The staff went out of their way to ensure that our beach wedding went ahead as planned, despite the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew had flooded parts of the gardens.A massive thank you to all involved. We really did appreciate it and can't wait to return.

The East Winds faces the storm and comes through with glowing colours.

This was our second visit to the East Winds in two years, and this time we brought two friends along to share our experience. The hotel had closed during the month of September for refurbishment of the rooms, and considering that hurricane Matthew had edged passed a few days earlier, we were pleased that the management had coped very well with the aftermath. There was a ittle hiccup when another electrical storm caused some temporary flooding a few days into our stay, which meant our friends had to be upgraded to a garden room. The good news for our friends, one of which suffers from Parkinsons, was that the bathroom in these rooms have been vastly improved, and now the sunken shower areas have been made more accessible and safer for those with mobility issues. The rooms looked stunning and bright and the new bathrooms were fresh and beautifully re-tiled with smart new shower hardware. As before, the staff were wonderful, efficient and professional but so, so friendly and welcoming even when under pressure during the recent storms. The food was every bit as good as before, with the emphasis on quality and presentation. We decided to use the hotel trips rather than our agent's services this time, and we were treated to a wonderful sunset cruise on a cataraman fit for a millionaire, along with twelve other East Winds guests who by that time we knew very well, and the sunset didn't let us down either, the colours were breathtaking. The boat contracted for the other cruise trip to the Pitons, was a little too small for the ten guests on board, with limited seating and shade from the hot sun,and perhaps needed a service, as the blowback from its diesel fumes spoilt an otherwise excellent trip run by a friendly crew and captain. Back in the hotel, the champagne flowed freely all week, but add to that the massive range of cocktails always available, and the help yourself bar next to the pool, what more could you want from a great all inclusive service.

25 anniversary visit ( 3rd visit)

This was our 3rd visit to East Winds and it felt like coming home again. We only stayed for 4 days due to refurbishment. The tranquility and ambiance are delightful. Titus, Wendell and Javarni serve you with you hearts desire. So many familiar faces Mirriam, Selma, Debbie and Paula it's like we have never left!I have always meant to participate in the Pilates and never have, until now. Oh I wish I had tried this sooner, Nicky was very professional and patient with an out of shape newbie. She helped me every step of the way. My other new experience was going on the property walk with Simeon, he was very informative on all the plants we encountered on our walk and talked a little about East winds property. Take a bottle of water, very enjoyable. One of my favourite things to do is watch the birds on the patio eating sugar. Judith the new general manager was very welcoming and as we were the last guests organised a special dinner for all of us. Looking forward to coming back in The future

Honeymoon in paradise

My wife and I honeymooned at Est Winds in ((April 2016) -taken me too long to right this review so it may be short on detail-apologies-needless to say, anyone planning to stay here will not be disappointed. Our first time in st Lucia, we were lucky enough to book a helicopter from the airport-the only way to see the island and so good we booked a return flight-plus you get to check in at the airport early on your return.As for East Winds-The location is secluded and amazing with a quiet golden sandy beach, the rooms are very nice, spacious and very clean. The food is excellent, plentiful, and we were treated to a honeymooners meal, with our own personal menu's, flowers galore and a special menu just for us-memorable.The highlight has to be the device-everyone is so friendly, nothing is too much trouble and everyone smiles-it's infectious-I can't recommend this resort highly enough-small, beautiful gardens, wonderful service-my wife and I can't wait to go back-thank you to everyone at East Winds for making our honeymoon so special.
