Amazing special place, please don't change.....

Unlike so many of the resorts on this beautiful island, Eastwinds is a hidden gem of tranquility, small, personal, feel like family after a day. Nothing is too much effort, everybody is wonderful...it is understated luxury, our idea of pure heaven.....situated on a lovely cove, warm sea, fantastic snorkelling, amazing watersport choices by the fab duo Jo and Wesley who kept my two boys and us busy bee's all week. The food and wine is fantastic and I'm a real foodie so I always hope for something great and this certainly lived up to expectations and beyond. Staff are amazing from lovely security guys on the beach, gardeners working daily to keep place so beautiful, coming back to freshly made beds every day, clean, new towels etc...to Jo and Wesley at the sports, to Charms at reception, Simeon guest services, the amazing crew of people at dinner, breakfast and lunch, too many to name in case I missed someone, always laughing, smiling, nothing is too much for anyone. Special mention to lovely Gill, Wow thats a great yoga class....no mixed up yoga/pilates here, Gill was amazing, I'll be back Gill!! I read very good things about the pilates instructor too though did not attend these sessions. Steel pans at lunch time, pianists and duo's in the evening, sounds of the island, the beautiful cocktail lounge to meet up at every night pre dinner. Wow....just perfect..... Yeah Man....as Ernie and Simeon would say....please don't change, I love the fact the boys needed to dress up with us for dinner in the evening and that they ate off the main menu, though I know requests can be made for the children for alternative dinners, I think this is great that it isn't automatically shown. Whilst kids are very welcome and made a real fuss of, this resort is better for children who are happy to leave their parents to it at night and sleep early or will happily sit quietly at a dinner table during a nice sophisticated dinner.....and that I think is absolutely the way it should be....we wore ours out all day with activities and they ate the biggest breakfast and lunches ordering panini's and chips at about 5pm....they didn't make dinner every night making a lovely end to the day for me and my husband. Please stay just as you are which is just 100% perfect . We love you and we love St Lucia.

Fabulous Holiday

First visit to St Lucia and what a fabulous place to stay, the room had everything you could wish for spacious airy and very clean bed very comfy. Gardens were beautiful small beach but lovely the free bar at the pool was a great touch. A lovely atmosphere staff went out of there way to make sure you had a good time very friendly just like being with a family. Food was brilliant excellent selection compliments to the chefs. Had a birthday while there with my friend and they went out of there way to make it special. Nothing was to much trouble from the reception staff to the cleaners so a big thank you for a wonderful holiday.

WOW! Faultless!

We have just returned from the most amazing holiday at East Winds. We had been recommended this hotel by a family member who had visited twice. We were not disappointed. I think we all felt instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived. Beautiful bungalows set in spectacular grounds. I honestly can't think of anything in the bungalows that wasn't accounted for. I defy anyone to stay here and find fault. The location is secluded & on a beautiful beach. Water sports available for all who wish to participate. The spa is just lovely. If you can stand the heat, venture to the gym, yoga & Pilates pavilion. We didn't try the fitness trail for the same reason. And, then, onto the staff and service. Simply exceptional. Loved Judith's welcome card in the bungalow and was refreshing to meet her & Andy over the first week. Have to say that Emma, who was doing her student placement was also excellent & very attentive. We really enjoyed the sunset cruise. Also all the other excursions we did during our two weeks were great. And then you get down to personalities & while I don't want to single people out, I can't help but mention Miriam, Windell, Haig, Sylvia,Titus, Patrisca & Selma in the bar & restaurant. Thank you to Wesley & Jo on the water sports on the beach. But the rest of the staff were equally as attentive. Food was fab. Loved the homely atmosphere. Everyone was on first name terms by the second day. Simply unique. I couldn't believe it.Oops, I very unforgivably forgot Charms on reception. She was amazing. What a star she is. She seems to know absolutely everything that is going on. A true gem. Hoping we will return in 2 years time for my 50th & my daughter's 21st! Will be a very special treat! Go! It's amazing! But don't let me not have my two weeks!

Beautiful, relaxing resort.

We spent 10 days at East Winds in mid-June and loved it. The resort is fantastic, and the staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough for you. It is more aimed at those who prefer a quiet, relaxing holiday, but there is still lots there with a pool, bars, the beach (and various water equipment), plus live bands, classes, etc. The excursions we tried were all great fun, and the food was really good too. Very much recommend.

Restful heaven

one of the best holidays we have had, we flew there on our anniversary, and had a lovely meal the following evening in a decorated gazebo. We stayed in a superior cottage in the grounds which was very spacious with an added small room with another basin/vanity unit which was very helpful. We thought that the safe could have been positioned in the smaller wardrobe, as it restricted hanging space, particularly as the ironing board is attached the other side, but it seemed to provide more space than some of the other accommodation. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful, thanks Simeon(Strangers in the night!) for the lovely trips, particularly the sunset cruise which produced some great photos. We enjoyed rum punch/champagne and canapé provided by the chef. The best thing of all for us was the amazing reef just off the beach, we spent many hours snorkelling, there are so many varieties of fish. also the total peace and tranquillity, no piped music anywhere and no encouragement to do anything but relax, unless you wanted to. We did feel that the evening menu was disappointing and not much variety, there are three choices for main course, but one of these is vegetarian so there are only two, and these were very bland. There were no steaks on the menu. We felt with this calibre of hotel, a more varied international menu would be appropriate and perhaps more choice, as other hotels seem to offer. We had hen one evening which were the smallest chicken legs we had ever seen and really not very tasty. The breakfast menu is very limited and would perhaps benefit from a daily special. The lunchtime buffet was good, lovely homemade ice cream! and the barbecues were excellent , Even though the food was sometimes not as expected we loved East Winds and cannot wait to return, to enjoy another piece of paradise
