From the minute we got there until the minute we left the staff could not been more attentive or friendly. The food is wonderful. Breakfast is cooked freshly by a wonderful multi tasking lady. Restaurants require long trousers for men. We will definitely be returning to see the wonderful Frances who works in one of the restaurants and Melinda who works in the spa where we had the best treatments ever. Fabulously relaxing holiday.
We visited Rendezvous as part of our Honeymoon (Jan 2017), and could not have been more pleased with the choice. Admittedly, as we rolled up to the facility, its proximity to Castries' local airport worried me somewhat, but those fears could not have been more unfounded. Flights are very infrequent, and if anything, watching the planes take off over the bay added a bit of excitement to the day's proceedings. Though not a small complex, the design of the hotel's grounds helped to make the experience feel very intimate. Walking through the garden to the main bar/restaurant area felt a little like strolling through an Elfen kingdom - huge, beautiful trees adorned with very tasteful outdoor chandeliers. Despite being expensive at the point of booking, going all-inclusive helped to make our stay entirely stress-free, as there were no hidden costs, and at no point did we feel pressured to tip as we have elsewhere. It is clear that the company looks after its staff - some of whom have been at the resort for decades - as the quality and consistency of the service was impeccable. Every single member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay as special as possible. The food and drink were reliably delicious, so it's easy to make the most of the all-inclusive. We were also taken aback by how many activities were available with the package, including free sailing lessons, scuba lessons and trips, archery, tennis, dancing etc. As honeymooners, we were treated to free champagne on arrival, including an additional bottle on ice in the room. We were also given a free massage, and were invited to meet the other honeymooners at an exclusive cocktail party on the beach. Our room was one with a garden-view. Though certainly not disappointing, I'd say that this was the most mediocre bit of the stay, but only because we had spent a week in a private sea-view cottage the week before. If we were to return, I may investigate one of the other room options more to our particular taste, but the one we had was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The nightly turn-down service with candles was also very special, and not something I've seen done as well elsewhere. The hotel is also only a 15 minute walk from Castries, so anyone wanting to explore the city could do so with ease. Taxis are also easy to arrange, for trips further afield. When the time is right, we will definitely return. I couldn't recommend it enough.
Yes what a shame that my wife and I have been caught stealing time for ourselves in this amazing tropical paradise. Celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary we wanted a special place to relax, rejuvenate and to celebrate, and the Rendezvous delivers on all fronts. You are a special guest here and all the staff ensure you know that by how well you are treated each and everyday. The beach front, the lush gardens, the food and the people make the Rendezvous a first class resort that without question we'll return to in the future. Tips- if you can afford to, take the helicopter ride from the south airport up to the north airport. Only takes 10 - 15 minutes and the views are well worth the cost.- Two of the restaurants require reservations so do that at Reception as soon as possible and reserve ahead for your whole stay. - Dress Code - when packing for your trip ensure you include the proper attire for where you plan to eat. Men bring at least one pair of long dress pants. - The hotel caters to a mostly British and that is reflected in some of the food choices and the dress code. - Not a party resort like you might find on the Mayan, but lots of fun activities throughout the day, and entertainment at night. - Relax, Relax, Relax. As the hotel tag line mentions, you're here as a couple to steal some precious time back for yourself. Indulge yourselves in the atmosphere of the resort and enjoy every moment together.
Had a very relaxing break and stay here for 10 days. Meals, etc all inclusive, so no need to worry just relax and the service is excellent. We had lovely room on top floor with beautiful views of the gardens, pool and sea. Also private which was nice.Restaurants needed to be booked if you didn't use main one in the evening, but selection between more formal or totally relaxed. Menu did change , otherwise we would have become fed up with same food. Champagne, wines beers and cocktails were abundant, with plenty of fresh water to cool off, all day!Tea & coffee available as were snacks, so you could never go hungry. We would have like some more spicy Caribbean food, but there was plenty of choice.Lovely beach, but few arguments over sun loungers between guests. We didn't but towel grabbing at 6am by some guests, who felt it should secure those loungers forever, despite hotel policy. Do think it needs enforcing though. You are on holiday and do want to relax and umbrellas are needed for most Europeans during sunniest hours. Either that or provide more.Would recommend for a relaxing holiday.Staff very pleasant
This was our second visit to Rendezvous and the hotel had been refurbished between visits. The garden view room was adequate size with a large bed, no TV (wonderful), a fridge stocked with water and coffee facilities. I asked about tea and they brought us a kettle and fresh milk! The small bathroom / shower was stocked with REN toiletries. When we were unable to work the air conditioning or lights, a member of staff came quickly to assist us. The staff could not be more helpful through out our stay. The food is very good - we especially liked the new Malabar Beach club where the food is cooked to order. The Champagne bar is also a great place for a pre dinner drink or nightcap. The gym is a good size and with great choice of equipment - better than most hotel gyms. The exercise classes were hit and miss depending on the instructor - I found Pilates poor but aquatics very good. Beach is kept clean and sandy. Only gripe is the sun beds on the the quiet part of the beach with the most shade were reserved for guests in the beachfront rooms. Everyone else had to use the busier and less shaded part of the beach. The lazy river didn't seem to be used much - I found it too humid and hot to sit there. There is a pleasant walk around the bay and back in 40 minutes (passing the cemetery and airport). Also a supermarket about 5 mins walk from the hotel. There are well stocked shower facilities above the gym for use after checking out.Great hotel if you want a laid back holiday but get bored easily sitting on the beach as there are lots of activities on offer.
