We decided to come to the Caribbean to get married and are so glad we chose this hotel! The island itself is beautiful and the people we met on the island were all friendly. The resort is very well laid out with a low-rise profile and set in some stunning gardens.None of the buildings is particularly ostentatious. We found it more genuine for that, but regular visitors to expensive hotels may be expecting a more "showy" facade. Our room was great with a decent amount of space and the most comfortable bed I think I've ever slept in! The balcony overlooked the gardens and the local birds came and ate out of my hand from it.Where this place really shines is when it comes to the staff. Honestly, you have to experience it to understand. We never had to lift a hand to do anything but, somehow, it never feels awkward or too formal. Nothing is too much trouble and, we had several ad hoc activities arranged for us because we were unable to take part at the scheduled time. The friendliness of the staff seems to have an effect on the guests too as we got talking to so many more people that we usually do on holiday. There's always something going on to keep you amused. From the regular beach volleyball matches in the afternoon (I got to retire undefeated in these!) to more sedate activities like cocktail or cooking classes, there's never any reason to get bored (unless you want to!).The food is all excellent and surprisingly varied, there's a good selection of drinks included and a bigger choice of non-alcoholic cocktails than I expected (which is sometimes all you want in the heat). There's a good choice of watersports and the staff are very patient in helping you learn. The spa is great and we really enjoyed the massages we had there.Sandra and the wedding team made everything so easy for our marriage. It was exactly the laid-back affair that we wanted. I can't recommend this enough if you are thinking about running away to get hitched. We can't wait to go back. I can't remember ever feeling so sad to leave at the end of a holiday and it felt more like we were leaving behind friends than hotel staff.
We got married here we stayed in seaside suite which wasn’t directly on the beach but was a 20 second walk and they are situated in my opinion in a perfect position. We originally booked they top priced room but we looked at pictures and decided the seaside suite looked nicer and we was so glad we made that decision because the room was perfect in every way. The wedding we perfect in every way not one ounce of stress whatsoever we just decided what we wanted and paid for it and that’s it so easy friends of ours that got married in England had so much stress they all nearly didn’t get married The Rendezvous made sure nothing was stressful. All the staff were lovely they remembered our names and what type of coffee I have at breakfast. We had two members off staff as witnesses they were lovely and we have kept in contact. The food and drinks all lovely and everywhere lovely and clean. We done a few excursions the zip wire through the jungle was the best one the two instructors were so funny and made it so enjoyable. Anyone looking to get married would 100% recommend here.
Stayed here with my wife for a week and loved it. The service was amazing throughout and very attentive. The Trysting restaurant was our favourite eating place and the food was excellent for an all inclusive resort. We also loved the champagne bar with its happy hour where they showcased top champagnes every evening in a lovely setting complete with pianist. We also loved the activities which were varied and meant you could either relax and do nothing or sign up to a dozen different things. Lovely place on a lovely island
To put it simply, this resort is everything you want or need from a hotel. The surroundings are beautiful and well kept, the food at the 3 restaurants is good quality and the rooms are maintained to a very high standard. However, despite all of these positives, the standout feature and what makes the hotel so good, is the wonderful staff. Every staff member is friendly, approachable and is willing to go the extra mile to make your stay brilliant. In particular, Makim (apologies if I spelt wrong!) provided us with a wonderful tour of Castries and Trista always made a point of welcoming us to the restaurant.
If you want to go to a place to totally unwind and relax, then this is the place for you. From the moment we arrived until our taxi arrived to take us back to the airport the whole team at the Rendezvous went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after. Everyone from Carmen, Trista and Jacintha serving us in the Terrace Restaurant to the lovely Casey cooking up a storm in the Malabar Restaurant, to Ron the ace tennis coach and the watersports team made us feel like we were the only guests staying at the resort.Tamara in the Weddings and Honeymoon department also deserves a special mention for helping me organise some extra treats including a romantic private dinner on the beach which is one of our favourite memories. My favourite place at the resort is the private pods on the lazy river, which we discovered when visiting the spa. These are a great little hideaway for those who like privacy with great service while topping up the tan.St Lucia is a beautiful island and The Rendevouz is a great place to stay while you are there.
