Staff are amazing special mention to Orlando (pool bar)Francis (Terrace)and Kevin (water sports). All there can literally not do enough for you. Excellent facilities. Although hotel taxi and laundry service were extortionate prices, $50US to Rodney Bay return (20 minutes) and $51US to wash a few items of clothing I'd advise to leave resort to book cheaper, for instance use local bus service to Rodney bay for $2EC about 60p rather than around £42. We only paid the latter once and on other trips out to casteries and Rodney bay again, we used the bus. locals were really friendly and we didn't have any trouble but like anywhere be on your guard of valuables.
As our flight back to the uk was cancelled we were lucky enough to have an overnight stay at this beautiful resort. The staff were so kind &helpful as we arrived tired after many hours at the airportThe good was fresh and delicious . Altogether a short but delightful experience
I can only echo the recent reviews, and say how welcoming, helpful and pleasant all the staff were during our stay. Not that you could pick out any individual, but Byron (watersports), Orlando (bar), and Francis (dining) always had a chat and made people feel special. Food and service were excellent, watersports great, and overall you will not be disappointed in your choice of the Rendevous.
Firstly we simply cannot praise the staff highly enough for the efforts they go to, to make your holiday enjoyable. The staff are the very making of this hotel. From the moment we were greeted until our departure, we were made to feel so welcome. This is a very relaxing hotel and you can do as much or as little as you care to, no pressure applied. Our room was light and airy with a modern feel and always kept immaculately clean. Towels are changed every day (bliss). I always have difficulty sleeping on standard pillows and they changed mine without question or hesitation. In fact they offer about 5/6 different types of pillow for your comfort. There are sufficient supplies of tea, coffee and water within the rooms should you need it. Within the resort the bar staff are friendly and always ready with a refill/top up (well it would be rude to say no wouldn't it). The champagne bar is definitely worth a try pre-dinner. The three restaurants to choose from are all great and food is lovely. The Terrace varies between buffet and a la carte nights as well as the weekly BBQ night which is so good. The Terrace is also used for breakfast which is plentiful with lots of options to choose from. We must give Chrissie, Sarah and Angela a big mention for looking after us at The Terrace Restaurant, you couldn't wish to meet nicer people. We did try the Trysting restaurant which is a lovely experience and the food is 'top notch' but we like to eat outdoors if possible so for us the Terrace and the Malabar (for a toes in the sand experience) were our favourite (the lunches at Malabar are truly indulgent). During the day there are two pools or the beach to choose from and again the bar staff are always on hand offering refills, whether its simply water or your favourite tipple and they are so engaging and friendly. There is always an exercise class taking place or a water activity which are all included within your holiday package. Do yourself a favour and try Pilates with the lovely Pauline. We can't recommend her highly enough, she is so knowledgeable and helpful and professional, but mostly just plain crazy and great fun!!! There is an activity list displayed the evening before in the Terrace area of the next days activities so lots of varied things to choose from. We even did a wine tasting class one afternoon which was very interesting and informative. We did try an excursion or two whilst there and can recommend the Land and Sea adventure which allows you to see a little of the island. Half the day in an open top jeep visiting Soufriere, seeing the iconic Pitons amongst other sights and in the afternoon returning via Catamaran stopping off for some swimming/snorkelling. It's an entertaining day out. We also tried 'Jump Up Friday' when the streets around Gros Inlet are closed off to traffic and a 'street party' ensues with street food and entertainment. It's great fun and not to be missed. All in all we would most certainly recommend this resort to anyone and is definitely on our list to revisit. We didn't hear one bad word about this resort from anyone. Everyone we came across could only offer praise for the staff and the service they provide. It really felt like the staff took a pride in working there which was lovely to experience. If I'm honest, the only disappointment was the lack of evening entertainment, or more to the point the length of the entertainment provided. The evening would usually be all finished by 10.30pm and it would have been nice to have had at least a couple of evenings when it went on a while longer, say midnight? However it didn't ruin our holiday and it shouldn't put anyone off going. You won't be sorry you did.
It is the staff that make this lovely All Inclusive Hotel extra special. It is a very relaxing hotel with activities going on if you want them. We went to the Yoga/Pilates/Tennis and Aqua Aerobic classes which were all excellent, on some occasions they were Individual Tuition as the hotel was not full ( low season ) and many guests are happy relaxing by the pools or on the beach, also going out on Excursions. There is various evening entertainment with music every evening but quite quiet although I think it is busier in high season. The activities team are great especially Pauline who is very knowledgeable and experienced as well as lovely!
