Went late Oct/early Nov. here's a breakdown of resort:Room: Pros - stayed in a one bdrm suite up on the hill. First bldg close to the ocean on the 2 bed floor. Beautiful ocean views. Room was spacious with a large balcony. Bed/pillows were very very comfortable Cons - housekeeping was very late in the day. Usually they knocked when we're just back from beach and looking to relax before getting ready for dinner. Very Hilly----lots of stairs to get from your room to the main part of resort. They will pick you up in a golf cart but the service was not always dependable. Food:Pros- food was amazing. Tried all restaurants except for pizza place (Would have been nice if this was open for lunch....as I'm not racing to a pizza place for dinner when I'm in The Caribbean). Favorite was bambou. Ate there 3 x's for dinner. Morgans pier was a beautiful atmosphere but food was better at bambou. La Jardin was very fancy and food was very good. Also a Huge bonus was it had a/c (only restaurant with A/C which was handy on some of those humid nights). The Buffett at Palm was also very good with A nice variety all cooked extremely well. Lunch and breakfast were either at Bambou or Palm and both were equally good (bambou had the waterfront views which is always a plus. Staff at all restaurants were exceptional Cons: went to Plum Tree for lunch and found the Food wasn't very good. Didn't go back after that one lunchService:Pros-staff was exceptional. Very friendly and went out of their way to help you. We were always greeted by a smile and a hello from all the staff ( from restaurant to bartenders to beach staff)Cons- check-in process by front desk staff could be a bit more efficient. Golf carts should be more readily available for such a hilly place Excursion:Pros- the Calypso Cat was amazing. It's a catamaran that's right on property. Staff is awesome and they have a nice drink/snack selection. Since it's part of the resort, the drinks/food are inclusive. Paid $35.00 for a snorkeling trip to the pitons and another spot. It was an amazing value on a great boat. Fantastic day. Would do this excursion again anytime. My husband dove with 'Scuba Steves' and he was very happy with the exceptional service and dive operation they run (will review this separately)Cons-no cons on my snorkeling excursion on Calypso Cat. Beach/pools:Pros- pools were great. 2 were next to each other in the center of the resort. The 3rd is adults only set high on a hill (giving the pool an almost infinity-edge type feel). Plenty of beach chairs and beach is pretty big so you're not on top of everyone. Activities posted on a large board each day...highly recommend the water aerobics class (so much fun).Cons- ocean water is murky. Not what I expected in a Caribbean vacay. Not blue/green water...instead it's murky. Didn't go in past my knees. Went to pools instead and they were great. Airport transfer: Resort is located on other side of island from the airport (just about all the resorts are situated in this area). Read prior reviews about horrible car rise from airport to resort. We took the helicopter to the resort and then took a private car on our return. Both were excellent and will write separately about both. All in all, is was a very nice trip. I will say that when we went, the resort was a little over 50% filled and it was fantastic. I can honestly say that I would have zero interest in being there at full capacity.
All the staff were very helpful we enjoyed the water sports and the fact that they gave you lessons to build your confidence before you entered the water and embarked on your new adventures . Evening entertainment was varied to suit a range of people. We did not have any children with us but they all seemed to be well entertained during the day. We all had a Swedish massage in the spa first time for all of us, very enjoyable.food was delicious and a great barbecue on the beach on Wednesday . There were many weddings on the beach,in the restaurant,in the pagoda and every one had it’s own stamp on it.take me back ASAP we loved it.
The title of this review translates as 'I love St Lucia' from the French Creole spoken on the island.I was very impressed and happy with my stay at St James Club resort in Morgans Bay. The customer service was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly, I enjoyed conversing with them in Creole as I am of Dominican 🇩🇲 descent and St Lucia is one of our French Creole brother nations in the Caribbean. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would definitely be interested in going to St James Club again.
Amazing place to stay! Very family friendly! Staff were amazing and accomadating for us with our baby! Food was great! The beach party is a must! Do not miss it! So much fun! Resort is beautiful and clean. Would definitely come again!
We had the most fantastic holiday. The staff were outstanding. So helpful and friendly and a great laugh to be around. We thoroughly recommend st james and we will be going back next year! There was also so much choice of food which was all delicious. Lots of restaurants to choose from.
