Absolute Paradise - behind words

It really is impossible to find where to start with describing our stay at this absolutely perfect hotel. From the minute we arrived, we knew immediately we had made the right choice in staying here for (the majority of) our honeymoon! We were greeted by the most polite and gracious staff, and treated to a local rum punch which was the perfect start to our stay. We were shown to our room (Sugar mill 10) by our butler, and from opening the door to the apartment we were in awe. Such a beautiful room - all white, huge 4 poster bed, fresh flowers, roll top bath and huge walk in shower. And all cooled by air conditioning and even smelling nice! Perfection! The whole hotel and grounds are all immaculate and really are a piece of paradise. The white sand beach is simply amazing and we spent many days relaxing there. There is even complimentary snorkelling area right there on a coral reef! All of the meals which we had during our stay were all simply lovely, with our favourite place to eat being the super trendy Cane Bar for some sushi! Best we've ever had and still craving it since! The Great Room was divine, perfect for a special meal (or 2!) throughout our stay. The relaxed Bayside was also very nice, and eating down by the beach beside the sea is simply amazing. All of the members of staff we encountered through our entire stay were the most polite, efficient and welcoming we have ever encountered. They really do cater to your every need, and do so with such genuine enthusiasm and warmth. From laying out your towels for you on your chosen lounger, to handing out cool lavender towels on the beach, they really have thought of everything here. The sunglasses cleaning i found particularly unique and brilliant. The Rainforest Spa is another must see part of the stay. Its like nowhere else you'll ever visit a Spa, build in unobtrusively into the rainforest surrounding the estate, it was such a special experience to visit. Had a lovely back and shoulder massage and left feeling so relaxed.Sugar Beach is one of those places we will always remember staying and we hope to return one day. As some of the reviews here touch on, it is pricey, but it is most certainly worth every penny. For us it was simply the most perfect stay, and gave us a honeymoon to remember.JUST STAY HERE!!!!

Great Service Comes With a Smile

We stayed in rooms 502 and 505 and Swamed was our butler. He was courteous, thoughtful and went the extra mile to take care of us. He even provided me with a tutorial on the Nespresso machine which I could not figure out for the life of me. When my boys needed a lighter for cigars he took care of that quickly and when we left he gave each boy a fist bump and a broad smile Ethan was wonderful as well. At bayside Chantal was truly a vision of graciousness and elegance as she provided us with cold lavender towels, chocolate covered raspberry pops, the cleaning of our sunglasses and lastly genuine conversation that made us feel very much at home. She and Swamed are jewels in your organization. I hope you recognize that they take your resort to the highest level of service and deserve to be recognized for that. Additionally at baysideNoah was a delight to watch as he joyfully took and delivered orders. His joy reflected in all tasks he took on for guests. He gleefully danced across the sand delivery everything with a smile. Anthia as well exuded the same kindness and care as she would inquire as often as possible if we needed anything. She was truly concerned about our satisfaction as guests. Finally, Mario our official greeter at check in and Super Dave as our driverto Ladera were standouts as well. Mario made us feel welcome and Super Dave provided us with safety, food recipes and life advice as we drove along. We truly enjoyed our brief time spent with Super Dave. In closing, I would say that all staff members I came in contact were stellar and truly made our trip to the Viceroy Sugar Beach one of our most memorable.

Utopia in St. Lucia

Where do I start? Arriving to Sugar Beach Viceroy resort we were greeted with cool towels & an Island cocktail. We were taken to our room and greeted by our butler Swamed and given an orientation. Yes I said our butler, he was hands on from everything from calling transportation, bringing me lemon & honey for my sore throat and making sure we were stocked with H20. Ok now the room, picture walking in to one room with a living area with "welcome" spelled out with leaves. The bathroom very roomy, huge tub. The bedroom was gorgeous with the view to our private pool and you guessed it a view of the Pitons. Picturesque!!! The service 5 star, the restaurants 5 star, the employees 5 star!! The beach gorgeous your actually swimming between the Pitons. Oh yeah the sunsets are amazing! It was truly paradise! Bucket list worthy! Some of the employees like Terri he shuttled is quite a few times and remembered our names. Ingrid at bayside restaurant was very nice as well. I wish I could remember all the names because truly everyone was very polite & friendly.

A day at the beach

A friend and I were staying nearby outside Soufriere and decided to treat ourselves to a little beach luxury for the day. We took a water taxi from a different beach (Anse Chastenet, also a delightful spot) to this incredibly beautiful beach between the Pitons. There is a public portion of the beach, but the area kept up by the resort is immaculate and comfortable, with lots of beach beds, palapas, and service from the bar. Renting the beach chairs was about 50$ a chair for the day, and the prices on the menu were what you'd expect from a resort like this, but my friend and I were happy with 5$ local Piton beer and the gorgeous views. The restrooms were available to use near the pool and clean, air conditioned, and well-appointed. The staff were excellent, accommodating, and friendly. Great place. We didn't stay in the rooms, but given the treatment and amenities on the beach, I can only imagine the place is quite luxurious. It was certainly beautiful to look at.

Paradise between the Pitons

After a winding road trip from the airport we arrived at paradise! We had a rocky start as our iPad (which is your link to the resort and its activities) was not operating and it did take 24 hours to get it fixed but once that problem was behind us we had an unforgettable 5 day stay. We opted not to do the all inclusive plan and this worked for us as we are not big eaters and drinkers. Having said that I never really understood if the water at the beach was free to all inclusive or free to all . We just brought water from the room. The beach was small but picturesque and even though considered a public beach it was very private. A shout out to the coconut man as he is the charm of the beach! Hilltop yoga and pilates were amazing! Rainforest spa was relaxing and very well staffed providing wonderful massages and manicures! We only went off site 2 times because we didn't want to leave paradise. I do not recommend the Saturday market excursion as this is a market with fruit and vegetables only. Not a lot to see and do in town except experience local flavor which was nice but would have rather spent my time at the beach. As for the staff, most people rave. I believe it depends on the luck of the draw and who you have helping you. We either had someone who was over and above what anyone could expect or someone who disappeared and never returned with an answer to our request. The room was gorgeous!!!! The plunge pool fantastic. The grounds were awesome. I cannot wait to return.
