The Landings St Lucia

Excellent staff and service. Great accommodations, nice beach, good food. Took a boat tour which was wonderful. Lots of families which was perfectly fine as we're grandparents. Would go back in a heart beat !
The landings is one of our favorite places to visit. This is our second time there. It truly is a wonderful vacation spot. It is perfect for family. We were there were three small children. Everyone is so accommodating, and friendly- it truly adds to the experience. Everyone from Sharlem in the main restaurant, to our butler, Edmund, to Chef George on the beach restaurant and all of the servers, to Cypriana in the booking office, goes out of their way to make your stay so special. The food is amazing, including the breakfast buffet and beach restaurants. Of course the beach is gorgeous, along with the water that is calm like a swimming pool. Scuba diving was amazing, as were the breathtaking views of mountains diving in to the water. Water sports are available right there as well- including kayaking and stand up paddle boarding for free, and snorkeling. Every day there is a different activity at the restaurant and bar, including entertainment, happy hours, etc. It truly is an unforgettable experience, and we will definitely be coming back again hopefully soon. Thank you!
We just returned from St. Lucia a few days ago and I felt compelled to write this review. The staff, from top to bottom, was outstanding. The people couldn't have been more friendly and genuinely interested in making our vacation as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are nicely kept and spacious. Having a kitchen, washer and dryer in the room in a huge bonus for our family. Our entire family took advantage of the water sports (Hobie Cats, kayaks, paddle boards, etc.). An added bonus was the cross-section of families from Europe and other island countries that our kids were able to meet.
The Landings is a great choice, with their fully equipped villa suites, that are very nicely appointed. We had a 2nd floor beach front 2-bedroom, with amazing views of the expansive beach and nearby Pigeon island peaks. The pools are on the small-side, so don't go looking for a water-slide or swim up bar, this is a more relaxed and luxurious resort where you'll be served at your lounge. Food at the hotels 3 restaurants was wonderful, menu's changed daily and lunch/dinner were never the same. The chef personally came to our table to go over the gluten free options. We booked 1 excursion via the concierge desk and another with an outside vendor. I'd recommend taking the hotel's water-taxi to Pigeon Island(small fee), bring snorkels for after the hike to the top, there's plenty of sea-life to see near the shore. I would definitely book again.
This was one of the best family vacations we have gone on, thanks to The Landings. We chose this location because we wanted our girls (10 and 11) to experience a true beach vacation and The Landings did not disappoint. Before we even arrived, the concierges (thank you Cleo and Ianna) helped with dinner reservations and booking a helicopter ride from the airport to the north side of the island (instead of long drive, highly recommend for an amazing experience). Then upon arrival we were given rum punches and brought to our 2-bedroom suite with a fantastic marina view. The suite was spacious, clean, modern and the balcony was large and furnished with 2 lounge chairs and a table for 6. There was also a washer and dryer which allowed us to pack less. We spent every day on the beach, ending our day watching the gorgeous sunset. While it was easy to get chairs, somehow before 8AM all the chairs in the front row were already taken. But then again this was Passover/Easter week. The water sport options were ample. We took out a Hobie almost every day, used the kayaks and paddle boards and water skied and jet skied (both of those were extra). The resort had floats and these round disks that our girls played on in the ocean as well. They would go back and forth between the beach and the close pool, which provided more shade (the sun there is very strong, and while it was hot, there was a nice breeze). While others on trip advisor commented about the small pools, we thought the pools were more than fine, good temperature, clean, 2 on the marina... and we weren't looking for the pool to be the center of our days. The first few days we were disappointed that a resort of this caliber didn't have drink and food service on the beach, but that was quickly changes by the new Food and Beverage Director by mid-week after we mentioned it to him. In fact, the service was exceptional from then on, with Mc Gregor providing above and beyond service, knowing exactly what we wanted before we even did. While I had planned to leave the resort for a few dinners, my family had other ideas as we had good experiences at The Beach Club (different themed buffet every night), Caliloo and The Palms, so we ate at the Landings every night. The Beach Club buffet breakfast was nice, most things you would want including made to order omelets, and we always enjoyed being welcomed every morning by Sharlem's smiling face. For lunch we ate almost every day at Caliloo, where Elijah and Ophelia took good care of us, knowing what we wanted to drink and always having the extra glass of ice that my husband likes on the side. And Chef's jerk sauce was so good that my husband asked for the recipe (and he got it!). My daughter also loved the pizzas from The Beach Club, which came served in a pizza box. We loved the option of eating dinner on the beach, feet in the sand at Caliloo as well, and were happy when they decided to open it additional nights while we were there (usually only open Sundays and Mondays). We ate at the Palms twice, and one night Mc Gregor set us up with a rose petal decorated table, which our daughters loved. Flavia also stood out to us for her attention and service, especially one night when our younger daughter wasn't feeling well. We enjoyed playing tennis a couple of mornings, and under the lights a couple of nights (rackets and balls provided). There were plenty of excursions offered and we chose to do a half day boat ride to enjoy seeing the island and snorkeling. Whenever you didn't feel like walking, you could have a golf cart take you wherever you wanted to go.We would highly recommend it for a family that is looking for a beach vacation at a high end resort that offers spacious rooms, where you can get personalized service and both relax and be as active as you want to be.
