The Landings St Lucia

- All Inclusive Features
We spent a week at the Landings in July 2016; we were a family group of 4 adults (2 couples), a 7-year-old child, and 8-month-old twins. Our 3-bedroom condo was comfortable but calling it luxurious would be quite an exaggeration - I've stayed at properties far more upscale and beautiful. It's fair to say the resort is 4 star, but it's definitely not 5 star. The beach is lovely and the pools are nice enough, though not terribly pretty (no views from the pools). The main restaurant is OK, as is the lunchtime beach restaurant, but the food is average and the options are limited. The Palms was never open while we were there. We went into the nearby town for most of our dinners; highly recommend the steakhouse there! We were placed on the far side on the locks (the marina that passes through the resort), so we had to take our double stroller over the narrow bridge to get from our room to the restaurants, pools, etc. That was a hassle we didn't need. Our 7-year-old nephew went to the Kids Club one day; it was deserted.Carol, the heard of the Kids Club, babysat our kids several times during our stay and she was wonderful - we had no hesitation trusting her with our 8-month-old twins! We did an island tour and a dolphin sail during our week; both were disappointing. We also played golf twice and found the course to be laid-back and fun. Overall it was all okay, but I wouldn't return to St. Lucia or the Landings.
a good luxury apartments with exit to artificial lagoon to stop your boat just infront; nice large 3 bedroom facility each bedroom with own bathroom fully furnished kitchen, extremely large hall and dining room with open terrace with large barbecue; all worth its 800 bucks per day
My guy surprised me with a weekend stay at the Landings. It was spectacular! Absolutely took my breath away. We were offered a refreshing fruity drink while the check-in process was completed. Then luggage was loaded and we were driven to our room. The driver offered a tour of the facility first. The grounds - immaculate, beaches - perfect.Once in our room - another wow! The design, comfort and preparation of the room was excellent. He showed us around and explained all the features including the jacuzzi on the balcony! The view of the marina, was flawless. We opted for local meals in Gros Islet which was about 10-15 mins away, but during the day we relaxed in comfy chairs by the bar. The service was friendly. It was really a fantastic weekend and we were sad to leave. We would definitely return and most definitely recommend the Landings.
The Landings is in the North West of the Island around a 1 1/2 hours taxi ride from the Airport. This is a scenic drive to say the least. The benefits are that weather seems to be less cloudy and rainy here as the clouds empty as they cross over the mountains. On arrival at the resort you are welcomed with a scented towel and a welcome drink. We were then taken to our 3 bedroom suite - which actually comprises around 10 rooms - 3 bedrooms, 3 ensuite, walk in ward robe, separate toilet and laundry with brand new Miele Washing machine and dryer, kitchen, massive sitting room and dining room and 2 fantastic balconies with plunge pool. The standard of furnishing and decoration was equal to any other hotel room we have stayed in.We were met in our room by Perro - our fantastically helpful butler who had stocked our fridge with snacks and drinks and who looked after us all fantastically during our stay. Housekeeping, Front desk, bar and restaurant staff were all fantastic - helpful, friendly and great with our four children. The beach was safe, secluded and quiet, with plenty of space, and beds. The sea is clear and gently slopes which is great for young children. The staff in the water sport centre were very helpful and we made use of the complimentary water sports such as kayaking and snorkelling. The beach bar restaurant and Kalloo bar were super for snacks and drinks and this was greta with the all inclusive package,The meals were varied and always of good quality with excellent service. The 3 restaurants all had their own character and ranged from the luxurious Palms restaurant to the beach bar.The gym was well equipped and air conditioned, and never too busy. We went to the local St Lucia Golf club for a couple of rounds of golf, this was all organised by the concierge service for us. We also went on the Catamaran Southern Breeze for a day and this was excellent, we went snorkelling and had a lovely barbecue lunch and saw the Pitons. All in all a fantastic holiday and we heartily recommend the Landings and would love to return soon
The Landings is a beautiful elegant resort with a marina, situated in a quiet area just 5-10mn of Gros Islet and Rodney Bay, and next door to one of the Sandal hotels. Nothing hasn't already been said other than that the beach is beautiful, clean, comfortable, safe and that the water is crystal clear with a slow slope, which is good for children in particular. I would recommend hiring a car if you stay there, or at any resort in St Lucia in fact, not only to explore the island but because taxis can be expensive ($30-40 round trip), and a hassle, to and from other restaurants in the evening for example. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to St Lucia.
