Grand Case Beach Club
- What's Included
GCBC is located on the North end of Grand Case. The facility is gated and very secure. Not to worry though as the entire area was very safe. The facility is based around 5 buildings of lodging, an administration/lobby and restaurant. Very accessible and easy to navigate. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lobby staff offered a warm welcome and continued to be so helpful throughout our stay, from setting up restaurant reservations, to arranging transportation (Mr. Johnny) and more.We had two rooms, one with a king bed and one with 2 doubles. Both rooms very similar in that they had kitchenettes and we stocked should we had wanted to eat in or even cook in our room. A welcome bottle of wine was included in our package as was daily continental breakfast.Room was clean and comfortable with current styling. We were located on the ground floor and each room had a small patio outside with a few patio chairs. Housekeeping was very efficient each day and refreshed items as needed. The restaurant, Sunset Cafe, was perhaps our favorite part of GCBC. The restaurant and bar are located right on the water and provides delicious food, drinks and views all day long. The staff were a delight and we enjoyed our time with them. Special thanks and kudos to Philippe, Sabrina, Arnaud, Marie and Elise. The staff is so kind and gracious and remembers guest names and likes and even their plans for the day. They truly make your visit a true joy.A Watersports desk is also on site and Jerome, Amory and Simon are quick to offer help, suggestions and service on the beach. They can set up your beach umbrella, get your drinks and food to your beach chair and help arrange excursions and activities throughout Saint Martin and the nearby islands too.GCBC is just a short walk into the center of Grand Case and the many shops and multitude of restaurants. It is an easy 5-7 minute walk each way and very safe. At night a security guard is on duty on the road leading to GCBC but I felt absolutely safe in the entire area all day and into the late evening.Grand Case is a great village/town with an incredible sense of community. I haven't heard so many car horns honked since NYC but instead of anger they are to say hello to friends and family as folks travel through town. It seems everyone knows everyone.
We had loved this hotel the last time we had gone, so we decided to take the family this time to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The staff from the office are the best, specially Christine and Siki, they sent a Champagne to our room with such a lovely card from all the staff. We had two ocean view studios and two town-houses with two bedrooms, two bathrooms upstairs and a kitchen, living room and powder room downstairs, each. Housekeeping was always efficient and smiling and put daily fresh flowers in all the rooms, that were clean, bright and with a view of sunset. We will surely continue recommending this fine place to stay in St. Martin.
Our family of 4 recently stayed at the Grand Case Beach Club. We are primarily concerned with cleanliness, safety, responsiveness, and accountability. Perhaps we are overly sensitive to the challenges of operating properties as we own and operate a small Inn in Westhampton Beach NY. However, we found Grand Case Beach Club to be superbly managed and incredibly clean. Granted the continental breakfast provided was not over the top. However, we knew that ahead of time. We found the management, staff and advertising to be totally transparent and fully disclosed.. The rooms were incredibly clean. Beach spectacular. Cafe great and reasonable. And, the nearby restaurants among the best in the Caribbean. Would definitely return.
The staff is incredibly nice and friendly. Our room was amazing with beautiful views and very clean. The food is amazing. Snorkel gear, paddle board, and kayak equipment all free with the stay! Plus other excursions reasonable and right on property. Pool area amazing! Although I wish it would be open longer than 7. Location wonderful! I worked out each day by either swimming for an hour or walking up and down the hill right behind the property several times. Walk to cute shops and delicious restaurants. The restaurant on property, Sunset, was delicious. Croissant, Baguette, coffee and juice breakfast also included from Sunset, and you can order extras as you wish. Soooo relaxing to sit in the am with coffee looking at the beautiful views. Wish I could've stayed longer!
Stayed at the Grand Case for a couple of days with my wife, after having been at Dawn Beach for about a week. Here are the positives:The overall location is beautiful. The pool is new and inviting. The people at reception and the man who helped up with our luggage were superb! They give you a bottle of wine in your room on arrival (our's was Chardonnay...we didn't drink it, but the gesture was appreciated). The onsite restaurant was fantastic too! Here are the few negatives:To be honest the nights are so rough with the noise from the local ??? (Sounded like crickets, but worse). I was in Room 706 (first floor, in front of the beach (no view). Additionally the A/C is adjacent to the bed so you hear it running all night. So all night I tossed and turned and had to sleep with on my side with a pillow over my other ear. Then there was the additional charge to use the small fitness center (com'n?! Really? They wanted to charge $10/day). And lastly, it was a great beach but the snorkeling was pathetic (I realize the resort has no control over this part). We even paid for the Creole Island and Turtle Reef snorkel trip and it was still only marginal. We did walk down through the small town...but to be honest it was not too welcoming and the hours were too sporadic for this American.Maybe if I had been given a room in the other side of the hotel (without trees), I could have slept better...but since all you want on vacay is a great nights sleep I had to take this place down to three stars.
