My husband and I visited St. Martin for the first time in early October and - after much research - decided to stay on the French side of the island at the Grand Case Beach Club.It bears mentioning that we have visited a few places in the Caribbean previously, including the Bahamas, Aruba, the Mayan Riviera, Turks and Caicos and the British Virgin Islands. We tend to travel well and will invest in very nice accommodations as part of our vacation. So, after staying for 2 wonderful weeks, we know we picked the best option for our St. Martin vacation ! Here are the reasons that Grand Case Beach Club checks all the boxes:1. The location. With just a 10 minute walk into the town of Grand Case and its 47 restaurants, a number of which are rated in the top 10 on the island, we didn't have to worry about driving after enjoying drinks with dinner. The resort is also about a 30 minute drive from the airport, and 15 minutes to Marigot and a great grocery store.2. The accommodations. Very nicely finished and appointed room with a full kitchen that made it very convenient to prepare meals when we wished. The bed was very comfortable. As other reviewers have mentioned, the pillows are small but many are provided which is great. All in all a lovely space.3. The property. The beaches, while small, are absolutely lovely with powder soft sand and warm, turquoise water. The boardwalk with little niches to relax, is a beautiful touch.4. The facilities. The Sunset Cafe is a great place for the included, French breakfast of baguette, croissant and pain chocolate with hot coffee and fresh OJ and has a variety of great additional breakfast items for very reasonable prices. We enjoyed omelettes, eggs Benedict and sides of bacon and sausage. And they bake their pastries on site so they are always fresh and delicious! The cafe also has delicious options for lunch and dinner - we ate a number of lunches here and dinner once and enjoyed every meal.We used the gym 5 times during out stay. While it is small, it is very well equipped for a great vacation workout. There is a 5e charge for each use, but we didn't mind and found we usually had the whole space to ourselves. There are towels and a water cooler. There is an air conditioner, but it does get extremely warm. The only suggestion would be to add at least one mounted, oscillating fan to help with air flow.Floats, kayaks and stand up paddle boards are available to use for free. These were easy to sign out, and we especially enjoyed floating in the easy waves of the warm sea.Unlike other places we have stayed, we never had issues finding a chair where we wanted. There were no towel games being played, which is so refreshing.5. The staff. Every single staff member is so friendly and accommodating. From the front desk to housekeeping - we were always warmly welcomed. And the little extra touches like fresh flowers in the room, were very appreciated. A special thank you to Mayra from housekeeping for her warmth and humour. We could definitely understand why so many people return here year after year. We met a number of couples that have done this, one couple who had been coming for 18 years! We will definitely be back to the Grand Case Beach Club and recommend it to others. One idea - there are many homeless cats in the area, many of which are feral. And next door to the resort is a friendly little white, spotted kitty who is very skinny. We bought cans of cat food to help feed these poor little kitties and encourage others to do the same if they can.
It is my second time in Grand Case Beach Club and I love it more and more!! Cant wait to go back there! I am in live with this region, its magnificent beaches, breathtaking views! It is a wonderful place to stay witu your family with a perfect beach!
My husband and children ages 9 and 11 visited here this past August, was such an amazing experience and we will be back as soon as possible. First St Martin is gorgeous and I've never seen water so beautiful. But Grand Case was such a gem! Away from high rises and expensive shops it was more our speed. Great resort with beautiful beaches, great staff and Sunset Cafe was so delicious! We ate there a lot but also took the short walk downtown and tried out some fantastic beach front locations.. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which was great. Clean beautiful view and the relaxing music playing when we first got there was SO GREAT!! You can't go wrong here, thanks again to all at GCBC and Sunset Cafe!
We just got home from our week long stay at this amazing place! I was recommended to them by my co-worker and it was the best honeymoon we could ever dream of! We loved that it was so close to the small, quaint town of Grand Case. And we loved that the hotel was fairly small. The rooms have a small kitchenette so we enjoyed being able to bring in lunch food and different snacks for our week. The restaurant at hotel was also wonderful. We cannot wait to come back and we will always stay at this hotel!
Visited this lovely spot for a week that will be unforgettable! We had a lovely one bedroom condo overlooking their small, but lovely beach. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful. You are within walking distance (about 5-10 minutes) from the best restaurants and little bars on the island. I noticed most people who were staying had stayed there before. I know we will certainly return. Thank you for a lovely stay and keep up the good work!!!
