Grand Case Beach Club
- What's Included
After reading all of the excellent reviews, their was no way we were going to let this Gem of a vacation spot go by and from the day we checked in til the time we left, we were not disappointed.....The staff there that we came into contact with on a regular basis during our week stay were the most professional, courteous and well informed of any staff we have experienced and we have experienced a lot. Hats off to Philip, Arnold, Miguel, Elise, Marie, Michael, Oliphie, Christine, Lavarre, Fabien and Gisele. Each and everyone of them made our vacation the most enjoyable we could have ever imagined..... Thanks to all of you.
We stayed in a ground floor room, 3 nights, better than upstairs because you can sit just in front of you room on the lounger. A short stroll 100yds to the restaurent, WIFI was particularly good and included fast and capacity. Friendly staff and the managers night was good to mix with others. The snorkelling was poor really no fish to speak of, but a good view of the Sea Urchins, ask and look were to walk in if not using wet shoes. 1/2 mile walk into the restaurent area. (buggy available) Very good food there but very expensive. The beach is only 5 - 15 metres deep before the water.
My husband and I came here for our 25th wedding anniversary. Overall, GCBC is wonderful. The on-site restaurant, the Sunset Cafe, has a gorgeous view of the ocean and offers French food, including a free continental breakfast with the most delicious croissants I've ever had outside of France. The calm turquoise water at the beach is the perfect temperature; swimming was one of the highlights of our visit. The tennis court was available every day, and the free kayak rental was another nice touch. The resort itself looks like it's in need of new paint and some general sprucing up, although the inside of our room was attractive and comfortable. If you reserve a garden room, make sure you request one that does not look out onto the parking lot, or you will not want to spend much time on your private patio. However, there are lots of padded lounge chairs that look out over the ocean, which is where we spent most of our time.
Lots of rave reviews from others. It was fine. Not great or horrible. Generally, the front desk people were short and uncaring. On the other hand, the housekeeping staff was a delight. The room was fine the view was great. The beach was ok. We were fairly uncomfortable walking near the hotel in order to get to the downtown area
We staid here more than a week in one of the rooms with a loft and directly facing the beach and the Grand Case Bay. Service was excellent, rooms nice and clean, personnel very friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained and a lot of security personnel at night and when needed. Restaurants in Grand Case village are within 5-10 minutes walk and if you are lazy enough the Sunset Cafe inside the resort is an excellent choice. Beach is excellent, beach service rocks, and the guys from the bar are most friendly and know to prepare best drinks. Rental of water sports equipment is free. Will go again, is worth the price!
