The villas strike a balance betwwen old and new , clean and well kept inside and out you can't help get caught up in the charm of la plantation. The views from your veranda every morning and evening are unforgetable. The Orient bay a short walk away, tea shop, boutiques, restaurants , mini-mart, everthing you could possibly want or need . The wifi needs improvement in the rooms, there were some issues with the cable provider , but overall these minor imperfections were not enough to take away from a memorable stay and friendly efficient staff.
Spent one week at La Plantation. The rooms are large and clean, though a little worn in spots. Everything works in room, hot water, fridge, tv, bed was comfortable. Pesky mosquitos at the beginning till ac was set, then we had to apply mosquito stuff on our skin just incase. The rooms could be opened up to a large patio, which was great. The staff were lovely to deal with for any concerns, Daniella and Julie thank you. Also the restaurant on site was excellent, we ate there 3 times and were blown away every time.Thank you Dennis for your service and hospitality, you are first class and we wish you success in the future. The breakfast was ok to get you going. The area hotel is in is close to lots of eating options, lovely service, food and decor. The beach was a bit of a disappointment as there was a lot of seaweed for 3 days, but the beach bars are great.Rent a car get advice from Dennis where some nice spots/beaches are located, he will help you out. Thanks again to everyone, mercy bouquet.Liz and Ian
Hubby and I came here for a wedding. The resort is more of a cottage style. If you looking for fancy decor, room service, luxury this is not for you. This hotel to me feels more like a local, 3 star place. Hotel plantation says it all. Each guest has a cute tiled villa. Loved looking up at the roof and exposed rafter of the villa. Each bed had a mosquito net around it. Still not sure how I felt about it. part romantic, part shanty, not sure.Pros; Breakfast is complimentary every morning, variety of pastries, coffee, teas, boiler eggs, yogurt and small spread of meat and cheese.Huge variety of restaurants to try right on the grounds. Each room has kitchenette with microwave and cooktop.Complimentary 2nd and 3rd room beach chairs.Cons: No beach front but the beach is 10 min walk and 2 minute drive down the road. Showers no tubsWould I come here again, mostly likely not but it was a different experience.
We have stayed at this hotel for the past 12 years and every time I am in awe at the beauty of this place! This is not a fancy hotel, it is a small French hotel with 3 room villas. Each has a kitchen with a refrigerator which is great. The staff is wonderful and friendly. I could rave and repeat every statement that I made in my 2014 review and all of it still holds true..... We have stayed at his little piece of paradise for 10 summer now. It is a charming small hotel with a beautiful view Orient Bay. The staff is outstanding, always helpful and like a family. The rooms are well maintained and clean. Lush gardens surround each villa where you will see cute little humming birds. You are within walking distance to both the beach and the cute village with restaurants and bars. Although almost everyone speaks English you are feel like you are in a quaint French town. Breakfast is awesome as are the two lovely ladies who great you with a beautiful smile each morning. Although my husband and I go for a romantic getaway each year I would be perfect for a large family since the villas have three adjoining rooms which can be opened up. The other past reviews say it all! If you are looking for a modern, sleek "American" property this is not it...this is a charming small hotel with great service and terrific location. It is as close to perfect place as you will ever be! I do recommend renting a car since it is a well worth it drive from the airport, but you will also want the car to go to restaurants in Grand Case as well as shopping in Phillipsburg or Margot ( you cannot get lost the main road circles the island).
We just got back from our '2nd honeymoon' in St Martin. La Plantation was the perfect place to stay! Views of the ocean are always on our list and were beautiful from the top villa at this hotel. Walk to the beach is a few minutes away and is gorgeous.Pool lovely and room was always clean and very comfortable. Loved sitting on our porch having drinks, breakfasts, so relaxing but mosquito repellent is essential!!A great place for a 5 day total relaxation fun getaway. Bars and restaurants on the beach were great...Pedro's our favorite! Can't wait to go back!!
