The hotel is in a great part of Barcelona with some good bars and restaurants within walking distance. It is modern, bright and the rooms are well decorated, although our bathroom was looking a little tired in places. The beds were very comfortable.Although we only stayed for two nights so had little time to interact with staff except at check in/out times, we found them to be unfriendly and unwelcoming. This is in direct contrast to other hotels we have stayed in in Barcelona so was a bit of a shame. It wouldn't stop us staying there again as it is in very convenient location but maybe it is something the management should look at.
We stayed here for a weekend in October and it was really nice. Rooms were decorated very modern, clean and spacious. We were on a room at the front of the hotel and there was noise from the outside road and bars quite late in the evening. Centrally located to some landmarks, but close to the metro linking you to the Barcelona landmarks. Reception was helpful in providing local information. Breakfast was ok, it was continental breakfast. I would recommend to families and couples.
I like the change in the hotel - please proceed and keep it clean as it was during my stay. One night it was very loud on the floor, in the middle of the night many talking people. The location has exactly the right distance to my business location.
The hotel is very nice. I stayed 4 days. It is my second time in the city and if visit Barcelona again I'll make my booking here. It's very near to everything. To blocks to metro station and busses are passing by every street near by. The staff is friendly and the offer anything you want for a convenient stay. The neighborhood is classy and you are far from the crowd of the tourists. You fell part of the local community.
Review includes, Hotel , room and amenities, staff and knowledge of area, location, transport. The visit was last minute at an expensive time when concerts and football was taking place. As a 4 star hotel we paid a reasonable amount of £572 for 5 nights (just room) between us, which was very reasonable. The hotel is central to all attractions you would want to visit, and has a train station 1 minute end of the street called 'Diangonal'. The train was so easy to use we never took a cab just buses and trains.we arrived to the hotel by the airport bus got off at Catolonia and took two buses down and we were there, very easy to get to from the airport.First thoughts? Area looked very business orientated as expected as it was a business hotel (reason for choosing a business hotel was we wanted to be close to the night life and attractions but wanted to come back for a good night sleep and not worry about too many drunk guests or noisy guests) the Hotel itself was very clean and very beautiful.Staff were amazing, very professional when communicating (all able to speak fluent English which was a plus!)we arrived half hour early but they were kind enough to let us into our room. The room was beautiful for the price we paid, it was big and the bathroom was a room itself, massive! we also had a balcony (you have to pay extra 10 euros a night roughly. They ended up over charging us as we were leaving, but i was able to share an email which showed i did not ask for a balcony room, they had very efficiently sorted out the problem and reimbursed us.)The balconies are facing the back of the hotel, not the prettiest site as surroundings were of resident flats, we were just above the hotel restaurant, and weirdly they had a communal park at the back so lots of locals would come and go. (This was not a bad thing, if you are like me and like seeing how the citizens live and like people watching, then this will be something you will enjoy.)The hotel room included, a safe, enough towels for two people, extra pillows, daily replenished bath essentials, a very efficient cleaner who never touched our personal belongings (trusted staff ), TV, big wardrobe with enough hangers, hairdryer and a small mini bar (you can move it all up to make space to put a few things of your own, which was very helpful as we brought many things to have our brekkie in the room and brought drinks that worked out a lot cheaper)The location was superb! honestly! the local train down the road and the luxury of so many bus stops close by got us everywhere swiftly. there were plenty of exchange bureaus (we got the best exchange rate form a small bank called Sabadell).Lots of patisseries on the same rossello street for morning breakfasts, we had a good cafe right opposite the hotel they did a lovely brekki. the hotel breakfast left a lot to be desired for, wasn't the best, we tried it once and that was enough.By train (Diagonal) we were two minutes ride from Las Ramblas( train stop Liceiu ) so this was perfect , under five minutes from the night life and back to the hotel for a very decent night sleep. There were plenty of supermarkets 30 seconds away from the hotel and plenty of restaurants around and a really good fast food london style kebab place which was a two minute walk.Close by were chemists, ten minutes walk from the long stretch of the Catolonia shopping centre or can go by train (train stop Eixample , same stop for the magic fountain)Over all, the staff really helped to make our visit the best, we would pop a map on reception desk asking the staff to share their knowledge of all the easier routes, and they were fantastic! if i remember correctly i think two were called Pablo and Marcus, but they were all equally good.If they were unsure of some places we wanted to visit on how to get there, they would go on their tablets and guide us swiftly. I cannot fault their service they were attentive, professional, always happy to help and go the extra mile. One of the suggestions the staff made was the magic fountain ( he was on a night shift, very smiley man with gorgeous long locks of blonde hair) if you're reading this thank you ! i was in awe when the magic fountain started and that really topped our holiday thanks to the staff member. So....The three best things about the hotel1. The staff and their knowledge and tenacity to help!2, The location perfect to the trains, buses, night life.3. The good night sleep! The least favourite....1. We may not have enjoyed the hotel as much if we didn't have the balcony , going out onto the balcony first thing in morning to have brekki and last thing at night was the best.(I would suggest to take a room with a balcony)Verdict- Would i stay here again... Absolutely Yes! :)Thank you for such an enjoyable stay x
