We stayed here from the 14th-20th May 2017On arrival we were given room 215 (2nd floor) this was an end of corridor room furthest away from the lifts. This means it was a corner room which overlooked the hotel behind, but also the sea and pool! Very nice location of room. The room was clean and tidy, Yes it is a little dated but for the price we paid this was expected. It was a twin room and then had another bed set up in there too (this wasn't needed but didn't make the room feel any smaller! The bathroom was nice and large with a shower over the bath, toilet, sink and bidet. The beds were un-comfy but just have a couple extra drinks and you will sleep ok. As everybody says, the walls are very thin and you can hear alot of your neighbours, but this is just because people don't respect that other people are also in the hotel (when people come back at 5am and decide to argue and scream on their balcony, this is nothing to do with the hotel)We stayed on the all inclusive but didn't upgrade to the all inc gold (there is a difference a few extra drinks which isn't worth it) The food was ok, always something to choose from but sometimes the tables are cleaned to slowly for the number of people in the hotel. Drinks were quick at being served. The all inclusive works on a card basis where they take your photo and issue you with a card that you MUST hand over every time you have a drink (2 max at a time) Any Que went down very quickly. All staff in the hotel were pleasant and nice, if anybody says different it's probably because they are treating the staff like cr*p! Every morning we past the maids they said Hola to us, which we always returned the same gesture. The hotel is in a good location. Very hilly, but once in the hotel there is lifts to all floors ( the bar and pool is on the lower floor, Reception on ground & restaurant on 1st) The hotel also has a rooftop terrace with hot tbs, which we were told was very nice, but we never used. The pool does not open until 10am, This includes not being able to reserve any sunbeds or seats till this time. This was great as it meant after breakfast finished at 9:45 am you would still be able to go grab a space round the pool (there was always beds and chairs available)The pool is cleaned (with a hoover cleaner) every morning just before it opens and it is quite a deep pool. Oddly the middle is the deepest part!! There is also a small kids pool (which is also cleaned daily)The all inc bar shuts at 12am and you can purchase drinks till 1am then the bar and pool seating area closes and you either go out or go to bed (great when you overlook the seating area as there should be no noise after 1am!)There is 2 lovely small cove beaches with pedalos just a 10 min stroll away (downhill but major up hill walk after to get back!) These beeches are both lovely with calm water to swim in. 1 has a bar on along with beech beds and umbrellas, but these were a little pricey. The pedalos were 12 Euro for 1 hour. All in all the hotel is great for a cheap getaway, just remember the hotel is an older 3 star property, don't spend your holiday finding faults, enjoy it !!If you want a 4 star thats a little more modern try the Cala Font hotel down the road, but expect to pay more for half board !
We stayed at beginning of month was wary as I read some of the reviews. But we had a great time the hotel is lovely. The staff were lovely and friendly food ok the drinks are very week on the all inclusive and I think in peak season there would be lots of queues for drinks as you can only get 2 drinks per person and they are small glasses. But other to that the hotel is ok for what we paid. Sandra at the desk were you can get your trips from is very helpful
Just back from a 7 night all inclusive family stay here with our boy 10 and daughter 17months.We booked the night before as a super last minute deal and admittedly I was nervous about the holiday due to the reviews on here.I can honestly say that the hotel was lovely - spotlessly clean, and had everything necessary for a pleasant stay. Rooms basic yes but we had everything we needed. The food was gorgeous at every mealtime - we never went hungry. The hotel was lively, fun and friendly. Id like to personally thank Roberto, Sanchez, Tanya and the rest of the staff for a fantastic time.. for keeping the children entertained and for making our holiday memorable. We will definitely be back xxxx
I have to admit that all the negative points in previous reviews confirmed but I liked it regardless. Food was really good and plenty cant comment on alcohol as I don't drink . Great selection of salads and desserts
I will start the review with the ONLY negative comment and that is the walls in the rooms are thin. You can hear next doors conversations on occasions. That's it, everything else was great for the price we paid. There were 12 of us in the party ranging from 2 to 57 yrs of age. The rooms are cleaned every day & fresh towels provided. The rooms are basic but we spent very little tome in them to be fair. The food is typically what you would expect for AI but as a vegetarian I found something to eat everyday. So did the rest of the party - you can eat & drink all day!! Snacks are provided in the restaurant in between meal times. The 2 drinks pp was adhered to but this kept queues down. You can get coffee & chocolate all day in the bar area. we received a free bottle of fizz on our last night!! Children's & adult entertainment was better than some hotels I've been to & the mini disco was a massive hit with the children- roof top jacuzzi is worth a visit although when we were there from 14th may the bar was shut. Buses are close by and the walk into Salou along the sea front is a must. Overall we had a great time & would go back again!! Don't be put off by some of the reviews that visitors post!!!
