My partner and went to this hotel as a little break away from the kids for 4 nights,We paid £186pp for the stay and we arrived on the 10/04/17.Before we booked I read most of the reviews on here and did not know what to expect so we rolled the dice and gave it ago.Now on arrival at reception you are greeted with a smile and demand of tax for booking you in to the hotel. For my partner and I it was only €3.40 for our stay. The hotel is mostly clean and inviting and the staff are very helpful (most of the staff do not speak English tho so we found it difficult at times) we booked a double room and got to single beds pushed together but did not let that get us down. Our room was very very basic as you can see from the photo.Only two beds and a tiny tv (if you want the remote you have to leave €20 deposit) the bathroom is clean, small and tidy. The food is nice but only during the dinner times. If you want food outside the times you get left overs from lunch and dinner nothing fresh is made after breakfast, lunch and dinner times are finished. It is advertised that snacks are available but it is NOT fresh it is what ever is left over! We did not like this as most hotels offer fresh snacks throughout the day not leftovers! When we went to visit the bar you must take your all inclusive card with you or no service even for water! You can only order two drinks at a time, this was not a issue for us but it was for larger groups as they has to keep coming back to get a round in for the group! Only a small amount of drinks are available on all inclusive their are other things available but you have to pay for them! Food is available at the bar during the day but you have to pay even when you have paid for all inclusive! Now the biggest thing I personally did not like was the fact that their was no kettle in the room and drinks was not available until breakfast started at 8am not even free water!! if you want a drink outside the dinner times then you have to buy it from the vending machine. Nothing is Available for all inclusive between midnight and 8am. Personally I would go back to this hotel but I would not go all inclusive again, I recommend that you eat out or buy as you go! The jacuzzi in the roof is stunning by far the high light of our stay! The room was clean but the view was rubbish! We had a view of another hotel! Their are good bits about this hotel and also bad bits! If they sorted out the leftover issue for snacks and put a coffee and water machine that is available for all inclusive at all times then it would have been much better! I am very pleased that I did not take my children here or I would of been very disappointed. Over all tho my partner and I decided that it is a good little hotel for a weekend getaway for single couples. If you go to this hotel with an open mind and not expect much you will have a nice relaxing time just like we did ☺
I stayed here in Sept 16 with my partner and 2 kids 17 & 14. It was a cheap and cheerful few days away,we found for the 4 of us it was a bit cramped but overall we got what we paid for. I came on tonight to check on it because we are going to come back again but bring our 5yr old with us,we will book 2 rooms though. There are a lot of negative reviews and I dont agree with them.It is perfect for a family on a budget and by going AI ye are fed and watered. The hotel we found was clean ,we had no issue during our stay. The room like mentioned was cramped for 4 so we will bk 2 rooms in future.Yes its a bit dated but perfectly suitable, our ac worked ,I did get bit but It could of been anywhere with me, at the balcony as we had a lot of trees,so if like me they like ur blood, buy a plug in at local shop around the corner.Resturant was lovely and big,not cramped at all and I was quite impressed with the choices, maybe I am easily pleased but I cant see anyone going hungry here. The bar ,yes there were 1 or 2 less chatty bar men but no body rude and yes 2 drinks pp rule,I dont see what the big deal is about that, the bar leads out to the pool area which is small and its the reason we will return because its 5yr olds 1st holiday and I dont want a huge complex.Entertainment isnt going to win awards but there is effort there and the inside seating was always packed and waiting for it to start. The location is perfect for us,we went to portaventura and salou via bus with the savings card you get around corner from nice chatty man. There are 1 or 2 shops, and a few bars but nothing busy or loud but it was end of Sept,we walked 10/15 min to a beautiful beach which had a coffee dock and it was the nicest coffee i had in a good while. We did eat once or twice just for a change at a resturant on the left as you walk down,I think it was e12 for a steak and chips dinner that wasnt small.I honestly dont think there is pleasing some people which is a shame because it puts people off ,they come here and vent over small petty problems which isnt fair overall,it is a budget hotel so if you are looking for bells and whistles go somewhere else,I will be back to enjoy family time in the sun that hasnt costed a small fortune.
Just returned from a weeks break and wanted to post an honest review of this hotelThere are good and not so good things about this hotel The hotel offers everything you'd expect for a cheap holiday hotel break. The pool is large although very cold, but was very refreshing Plenty of sun beds and tables to go around. Sun on the pool all day All inclusive drinks were as you'd expect, local beers and soft drinks in plastic cups maximum 2 per person but this isn't a problem as far as I'm concerned. The food option isn't great to be honest. But you won't go hungry. There is always something to eat although You may get tired of chips and bread but for what you pay you can't expect five star meals. Staff are polite and friendly and always speak. In busy periods the dining room could be a bit manic but the staff try hard to accommodate everyone The entertainment is poor in my opinion. Three activities of pool, rifle shooting and darts every day. At night was extremely disappointing with the kids disco starting at 21.30pm, too late. Then bingo followed by either a disco or an average singer. The worst thing for me was the noise at night . Not the hotels fault but selfish irresponsible people slamming doors running up and down corridors and arguing/singing at the tops of their voice at 2-4am in the morning. I'm all for having a good time , but I have the courtesy to realise that people have children asleep. The hotel staff do deal with this problem by phoning the police. I advise taking ear plugs or head phones.Overall I can't complain about this hotel and don't know how others can. Yes it does have downfalls but It cost me £1100 for 5 adults and 3 children for 1 weeks all inclusive so I'm more than happy with what I received for my money. You get what you pay for so don't expect bells and whistles. If you want excellent food, top notch entertainment and luxury then pay the extra and go somewhere else. I would return to this hotel simply because I got value for money
The hotel itself looks pleasant enough large lobby only 1 sofa & 2 armchairs. Reception staff pleasant. The rooms are what you would expect from a cheap hotel basic but clean, the walls are paper thin you can hear the guest 3 rooms down talking & laughing, I could hear people in the room next door on the toilet while I was cleaning my teeth. We were at the front of the hotel woken up by the garbage truck at about 1 o'clock in the morning banging & crashing about. The food was disgusting we eat out most days. We were there for a week only went down to breakfast once, food wasn't hot it was hardly warm, eggs like rubber. At lunch pink chicken and mould on the bread, plus plain pasta. Chips with everything only the occasional boiled potatoes mixed in with the veg. The 4th floor jacuzzi' area is for 18s & over no children no one takes any notice of that the kids were using both the Jacuzzis the adults couldn't get a look in.The hotel is on a hill, I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you walking difficulties the whole area is very hilly even down to the small beach. There is not very much in the local area. A chemist, small supermarket, pub & cafe. The nearest bus stops are down the hill they come every half hour it's worth buying a travel card we bought the 10 trip costing €15-40, which you can top up when needed. Salou is only a short bus ride away has a beautiful beach plenty of shops restaurants and bars. The old town is a must to visit. Also a 2omins bus ride to Tarragona quaint little streets with lovely little gift shops & coffee shops. Just a short walk from the bus station you can catch the tarracotren which is a hop on hop off little road train which travels round the city. The cost for the whole day for an adult is €7 the earphones tell you about all the historical buildings & ruins well worth it. I would not return to this hotel again unless they soundproofed the rooms & improved the food.
Another lovely week at Molinos Park. Missed out going last year as there was a big family holiday in America, but to my surprise the staff all recognised us from last time 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽Everyone welcoming, handshakes and smiles all round. Meals were superb and presented well. Everywhere clean and tidy. Well done everyone. Hopeful for a return later in year. Only fault this year the boozed up brits 😡that had too much sun and beer - but it was quickly defused by the staff.
