Reading previous reviews we usually take this with a pinch of salt but the hotel is very basic(walls are paper thin!) The majority of staff could smile more at guests and make them feel more welcoming. Food was ok, got different variety at lunch and dinner but very limited drinks in the hotel and you queue constantly for food and drink..(more like "some" inclusive!) If you want kid free time from round the pool then roof terraces on floor 4 and 5 are nice and quiet..had to ask for one of our rooms to be cleaned after 2 days! Wouldn't come back here which I have never said about a Spanish hotel.
Family of 4 here at this hotel just now. Can't understand what all the negative reviews are about. It's not a 5 star hotel but we have not paid 5 star prices. The hotel is absolutely great, it's basic but fine for what we need. Bit out of salou but a nice stroll in and if you get a travel ticket from one of the many plana shops around, a bus back is easy. Pool is great, it's amazingly warm. We are all inclusive and it's been absolutely fine. Why on earth folk complain about the food is beyond us, if you are fussy why book all inclusive? The food has been varied and tasty and always plenty to choose from. Fresh pancakes in the morning a real hit with the kids. We asked for 2 cava with dinner expecting to have to pay a supplement but we're presented with a bottle included in the all inclusive price. How can you complain about that? We have never had to queue at meal times at all and all the staff have been pleasant right through the hotel all through our stay. If you are pleasant to people, you generally find they are pleasant back to you. And trying out a bit of holiday Spanish always goes down well too. So it's a basic very clean very adequate family holiday which we are thoroughly enjoying so if you are looking for the same then we suggest you ignore the negative comments about this hotel by folk who are looking for 5 star holiday at 3 star prices. Just out of interest, this is the 3rd year we have been in this area. Once in Cambrills, once in Salou and this year in cap Salou and all the all inclusive hotels have been pretty similar 3 or 4 star. We would recommend this hotel no bother!
Me and my fiancé came to this hotel in July, we thought it was awful. When we checked in and went to our room it smelt of rotten eggs! We went to the reception to tell them as it was taking our breath away it was that bad... when we told the receptionist he said "oh I'll send a handy man wait in your room" a handy man?? What has that got to do with the smell! In the end we said we needed to move rooms so he moved us to room 89 on the ground floor which was a little better. I never moan about hotels but this was awful! Lived of chips and gravy all week! Also the beds are terrible if your a clean freak don't look under the beds the are thick with dust!!!! The only good thing about the hotel was the rooftop hot tubs! They was lovely and relaxing. (No kids allowed).
I booked a 10 day all inclusive family holiday here. Walked in. Booked in. Had to wait for room but could get food from snack bar. Cold mini hot dog sausages. Cold fried eggs. Cold chips. Once we saw the room. It was very small and dark. Teenage boys said "felt like they were in a prison cell". No one looked happy around the pool. All amenities very basic. Left within 3 hours and paid to go to another hotel. Where we have had an amazing holiday.
Second time here and got to admit it was better than the first time rooms cleaned every day so absolutely spotless the all inclusive is good too you can get a drink upto midnight . The food was good plenty of choice although the restaurant is a little on the small side so at busy times you may have to que outside .all the staff are friendly no grumps. The hotel is in cap salou so it's about 20 minute walk into salou itself . There are a few bars close by if you want a change from the hotel food I highly recommend the paddock nice food at reasonable prices . If you want to get out and about go to the bus plan booth and get a travel card €15.50 for 10 bus tickets plus when you take your card back you get €3.50 back you may drop lucky and get a card that has a few tickets on it like we did and ended up with 14 . Hotel is about 20 mins from port aventura you can buy ticket in hotel for €50 it's €47 at park we got ours before we went and paid £44 for 2 days so get them before you go and remember ferrari land is extra €25 on the day we got our tickets from attraction tix . All in all great holiday good hotel for the price . It ain't 5 star so don't expect it to be but good value for money .
