This hotel is brilliant for kids .. lots of entertainment during the day and at night! For adults and the kids .. the pool side is great for relaxing and getting a tan ! The staff are lovely and it's a very laid back hotel .Rooms are standard with a balcony I don't have any issues really with this hotel.. the food was a good variety aswell and tasty .Very glad we booked this hotel fun friendly and relaxing! We would definitely come back. Also for adults rooftop jacuzzi's which is so pretty! No kids aloud though ..
Construction with little comfortable materials and no beauty. It's the minimum of what should be acceptable.Although the dining room is large, it is not enough for so many people (at least in the summer).Good breakfast and the staff are friendly.
We arrived and was put in room 92 which is on the same level as the reception directly above the bar - after night 2 we had only had 6hrs sleep the walls were thin you can hear the conversations of the next room - went to reception and spoke to a nice lady who changed us to the second floor room 227 the difference was amazing the bed had a mattress double the thickness and the walls although thin was much comfortable than down stairs - the food was basic but was something for everyone , entertainment the guys did there best with a range of activities- the best thing is the the roof top jacuzzi especially at the very top up the spiral staircase with two extra jacuzzis and plenty of beds to relax and soak up the sun
It really is the bare minimum of what should be acceptable and as for getting what you paid for I'm not so sure. If they have dumped a load of rooms on the market at a get rid price for September then yes you got what you paid for and it looked to me as if that's exactly what they'd done. We bought it well in advance and at our price I thought it was rubbish value for money and it took me all of about ten minutes ( after consideration ) to decide that this had been a bad decision Fortunately the coast has many great things to see and places to go and staying here is a good incentive to see them rather than sitting in there watching everyone get bladdered all day long ! One afternoon of that was enough. If the hotel doesn't wear you out then maybe the location and hills might, but do not fear there is a very good and efficient bus service that will get you away from the place to somewhere much better very quickly which reminds you that you need to stay elsewhere next time
I'm a single dad with a 12yo boy and 6yo girl. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and was dealt with very efficiently by the friendly reception staff and was in our room within 10 minutes of arriving. The rooms are dated but ours was clean and with enough space for all our stuff in the wardrobes and draws. The balcony had only one chair and no table but we found out you could ask for more if you wanted, most guests used the balcony for drying towels and storing inflatables. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything next door which isn't a problem once you get over it as it's only family's getting ready or kids chatting and you soon just have it as background noise. However, on our last day a couple moved in next door, it was clear he was obviously of great stamina and she was very appreciative of his attention and wanted to tell the world, this prolonged game of Twister as I explained to my 6yo was just a bit too loud. After we dump our stuff in the room we went straight to the pool area which was busy as you would expect but still had plenty of spare seats and sun beds. The bar area was spacious and the queue for the bar was no more than two people if any in front of you. The bar staff were generally very friendly and smiley except when a "Brit Abroad" didn't understand the rules of the all inclusive ( which were quite simple - show your card get 2 drinks local stuff only, if you wanted a particular brand of spirit it was an extra couple of euros). Some brits really make you cring when they are abroad and seem full of angst and anger and are just down right rude, however, the staff did a sterling job in managing these idiots. The pool is great for all ages, my 6yo was happy in the shallow third and the little pool and my 12yo was happy diving in the deep end and lounging around the edge using the wifi. I was happy as I could play with both in the middle. The entertainment program on the whole is poor .....BUT. Mario and Roberto work their socks off ALL DAY and the kids loved it and them. The Justin Bieber show is worth watching as it's so poor it ends up comedy gold. The parrot show was a big hit with the kids and the afternoon games in the pool got most kids involved every day. We ate at the restaurant most days and always found something nice to eat which isn't an easy task with two little pickie eaters. Just a 2min walk from the hotel there are a choice of family restaurants with wide selection of meal choices at affordable prices. The chap in the red bus booth outside the hotel is British and an excellent source of information on the local area and how to get around. The bus trip into Salou central costs about €3 each and a taxi is about €9 so works out cheaper if there are four of you to just get a cab and there were plenty of 7 seater cabs around. We spent two days at PortAventura and although it cost a small fortune it gave my two memories that will last a lifetime. The trip was booked through Sandra on the desk in the hotel who was very helpful and knowledgeable about what rides are available and suitable for my 6yo and what's best for my fearless 12yo. I paid extra for the fast passes and this made the two days there superb as it was very hot and the queues are on average an hour long even for the little kiddies rides. The show and fireworks at the end of the night are magical and well worth keeping the little ones up late for. In summary the hotel is great value for money for a family holiday. It's close to the beaches big and small, it's close to PortAventura and it's only 20mins from Reus airport.
