Really enjoyed this hotel. Staff and entertainment staff worked tirelessly to keep every1 entertained. Food was varied and of good quality plenty of choice. Lifeguards around the pool done a fab job. !
My daughter spent most days at the kids club doing various activities and absolutely loved it.The animation team were really friendly fun with the kids, especially Paula, Alex and Sophia who my daughter always had a great time with.Great with all ages, my daughter is 13.
We stayed half board for 11 nights in July, there were 3 of us.Staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are lovely spacious and clean. The food is excellent,we always looked forward to breakfast and dinner and there is a varied choice for everyone.Great location just a 10 minute walk to Portaventura world and 10 minute walk to shops and beach. We will be returning next summer as this hotel has the best food and service.
First time visit to this hotel, family of four.Great points:- Animation team were absolutely superb, children entertained from 11 in the morning until 10 at night. Six year old did not miss a single Kids Club (two per day, 11am-1pm and 3pm-5pm) or mini disco 9pm-10pm, and also involved in other activities through out the day. Special mention to Sofia, Adele and Jesus who were fantastic with all the kids. For older kids/young at heart adults, lots of pool activities and other sports on the go. The animation team were very pro-active in engaging the guests and ensuring that everyone was aware of activities during the day.Night time entertainment was also very good with a variety of acts from the usual (excellent) flamenco dancers to Chinese acrobats. Special mention again to the animation team for Mamma Mia.Room were big enough for family of four (we had a corner room 463) compared to other hotels we have stayed in. Only down side was the lack of storage.Food was adequate rather than good. There was always something to be found to eat, but was usually a bit bland, breakfasts in particular were very much same old.Previous reviewers have mentioned the queues and we found this amusing initially as the queue for the sunbeds started at 8 and the door did not open until nine. Once appropriate spots were secured, the queue then started for breakfast. We by passed all this nonsense by going for breakfast and then taking what was left regarding sunbeds. We would normally share two between four of us, as most of the time was spent in the pool. Some unsavory, behavior by the guests around the sunbeds. One family reserved an area in the morning to catch the sun and another in the afternoon for when the sun moved. Someone attempted to move a small table, and the alpha male of the family indicated that if the table was not returned immediately, physical violence would result. Later in the holiday, when the hotel staff initiated a policy of removing towels from reserved but unused beds, a family took up some 'spare' beds. When the original bookers eventually turned up to take there reservation, again intimidation was involved to remove the perceived interlopers. Not good at all in either case.Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we plan to return if we choose Salou, but the hotel must address the sunbed issue. Would easily have been five stars but for this issue.
We have just returned from our week stay here and want to write a review about how brilliant we found the hotel.STAFF- friendly, helpful and were fantastic at advising us on excursions and dealing with an issue we had with our safe.ANIMATION TEAM- couldn't do anymore- fantastic, energetic and worked non stop!FOOD- great variety, tasty and plentiful.Waiters/waitresses and chefs worked constantly and always with a smile. ROOMS- comfortable, clean and modern.FACILITIES- great pool and bar area, ROOF TOP adult area is ideal and very relaxing, games room- a useful bonus for older children, dining area is spacious, cool and easily accessible.LOCATION- Quick transfer from airport.10 mins (at most) from Aquapolis- a super water park where there's something for everyone- our daughter loved the dolphin show! Take your own picnic- prices inside are extortionate! 10 mins (at most) to the beach and array of shops and bars- we paid €5 per lounger and per umbrella. You can see Ferrari land from the hotel- we didn't venture there but again, I'm assuming, no more then 10 minutes away.We would definitely return and for longer- 7 days just wasn't enough! Thank you for making our daughters first holiday abroad such a memorable one.
