Stayed here in September had 2 family rooms booked. Rooms were spacious big bathroom. Hotel reception staff were very helpful you can rent fridges in room for your stay. My son managed to lock the bathroom door luckily he wasn't in it but popped to reception and they sent up maintenance guy and was unlocked pretty quick. Big pool and plenty of loungers but does get busy around the pools. Children's pool gets busy. Restaurant was big and plenty of food on offer. Different nights had different food on offer. And staff were lovely with our children. Kids club and entertainment staff were fab! Children loved the mini disco of an evening. The bar had plenty of drinks choices and Carling on tap even better! Overall we loved this hotel and will be returning!
This is a great hotel, ideally situated only a few minutes walk from the bars, shops and beach. It has a lovely pool area with plenty of space for lounging around, as well as a smaller indoor pool and rooftop jacuzzi, which is a nice added touch. There was always plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet and a well stocked bar inside the hotel too. The hotel room was spacious, air conditioned and well kitted out and had a good sized balcony.I found the staff to be friendly and welcoming and would definitely return to this hotel again.
We arrived early so had to wait an hour and a half for room to be ready. Sat around the pool area reading whilst waiting. Room on 5th floor overlooking theme park, sunny balcony in the morning up until 1pm. Large bathroom, hot water at all times, toiletries provided, good sized room with balcony and plenty of storage space. One fault was the headboard design, consisted of over a hundred small cubes which collected dust. Dining room very efficiently run, hospitality welcoming, food on the whole good, I could always make a meal up over the 10 nights stay and did not find it necessary to eat out for a change. Plenty of salad, cheeses, cakes and fruit on the buffet. Cava served with the breakfast, nice to make a Bucks Fizz. Chips from the childrens buffet were always hotter. Sometimes there were no staff on the live cooking station and crowds would line up, I mentioned this to the Manager and this was corrected and he apologised for this inconvenience. Overall 4 out of 5 for room and 4 out of 5 for restaurant. Would use the H10 chain of hotels again for future holidays. Got to give Jemima a mention, the Thomsons holiday rep, we were the last to leave the hotel at the end of the season with Thomsons and she turned up at her regular times even though we were the only guests of Thomsons left. Nice quiet sun terrace on 6th floor, quiet no children, with Jacuzzi and sun loungers. Downstairs on floor -1 indoor swimming pool, spa and Jacuzzi. Overall great stay.Salou - done it once and no need to revisit, nice beach walks and shopping around the town. Recommend Mercadonna supermarket, where the Spaniards shop, one a mile walk from Hotel up past theme park, stay on the left side. And another Mercadonna in the town, over the railway crossing and a sharp right into a square lined with trees, you could miss it as the trees are in the way. Great for buying perfumes, toiletries all types of foods. Much cheaper than other supermarkets in Salou. A box of 6 or 8 ice creams for a family for a couple of euros. Much less than $1 - $2 euros for each ice cream shops and vendors are charging.Well you can sure tell the Brexit and devaluation of the £1 to the euro has certainly taken its toll, everyone was browsing around the shops and the market and not a lot being bought. Restaurant and bar owners were standing outside their establishments touting for business which was a bit annoying every time you passed. When I explained to one Spaniard that we were half board in the hotel with entertainment, he said that's no good to me. Overall a good holiday. Ole.
My daughter and I recently stayed at the Salauris Palace,as soon as we walked in I knew we were going to have a nice time. Our room was a standard twin facing the front of the hotel and onto the street, but it was infact very quiet. The beds were large singles and in my opinion, very comfortable with huge pillows and blankets if you needed them.Double wardrobe, free safe, fridge (3euros) per day. This would be my one critisism but you could go to the bar and purchase 10 bottles of water and you would be given the fridge key(a must for us as we had to store medication)In a standard room you get no tea/coffee facilities, but we knew this and took a travel kettle. The room was a nice size for the two of us.The balcony, furnished with table and chairs and a drying rack.Air conditioning was good.TV,only news channels in English, but we werent there to watch tv.The bathroom was nice, toiletries replenished as used, also the towels.Lots of hot water. The areas around the pool, the bar and hotel in general, very nice with lots of sofas dotted about.Didnt use the pool, but looked very nice. There is a bit of a library where people leave their books when they have read them. You can always find an area to just sit and chill if you want to.A little shopselling newspapers and most things you might need. There is also a ciggie machine,a bank machine(no hidden charge as far as I know)a bag weighing scales,a room to store your bags, shower and change for your flight. You can also hire mobility scooters and bicycles. We only went to the entertainment on one occaision but it was very good and lots of entertainment for the kids. The food was varied and you could always find something to your taste.Cava if you wished at breakfast, coffee very nice and fruit juices, real juice. At dinner you have to buy your own,but the staff will keep your wine for your next dinner. There was so much choice I dont know why a minority of people complain, can only summise that they expected 5* for 4* prices,I have stayed at many 4* hotels and I think this is one of the best, and just hope the standards dont drop. The staff,on the whole, very pleasant and extremely hard working throughout every part of the hotel.Couteous, proffesional and not intrusive. The restaurant manager very helpful on an occaision where I needed help and the hotel director was to be seen frequently and discreetly making sure all was running smoothly, and with a friendly disposition on his face.I hope these comments are passed on to staff as it is an important part of one's holiday,to feel welcomed. We thoroughly reccomend this hotel if you are going to Salou
We are back at the Salauris Palace hotel, I think I have stayed here 8+ times which says a lot! The hotel is in a great location, only a short walk to Port Aventura and a 10 minute stroll to the town and beaches of Salou. The rooms are lovely and very spacious, WiFi and air con work perfectly which is a must for me. The pool area is beautiful, although its too cold to get in right now!The reception staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always willing to help.I would absolutely recommend staying here, and will be coming back next year for sureThank you to Jesus, Cristina and the rest of the team :)
