Myself and two friends stayed at this hotel in May, we are all aged 23-24. The hotel itself is nice, however it is clearly geared towards elderly people and it was not stated anywhere as such. The entertainment and activities on offer were aimed at older generations and we felt out of place. We still had a great holiday though as the hotel itself was clean, the food was average and what we expected of a Spanish buffet. The pool area was nice, kept tidy and not too loud. It was also close enough to the beach/promenade and you can hire bikes for 6 euros for 2 hours to cycle along it. One point though- Jamie the Thomson rep should really pay more attention to details as he booked us on a Jeep safari tour as Russian speaking so our guide ended up being Russian. If you book anything with him make sure he double checks.
This hotel is very central for all amenities in Salou. The rooms are well appointed and serviced. The hotel has easy access for public transport. The air conditioning is a boon in the hot weather. Staff are generally friendly and helpful.
Myself and my partner had a weeks holiday here in June. The hotel was lovely. Was very close to the beach (about 2 minute walk), and also a 2 minute walk to the centre of all the shops, restaurants and bars. The Pool are of the hotel was beautiful, and very clean. Pool was a great size, and the bonus of the waterfall was a plus! The Staff in the hotel were all lovely- very polite and helpful. We had breakfast and evening meals in this hotel, and food was nice. Breakfast had a wide range of options, while the evening meal was more basic - tasted good, but basic! The hotel had a great range of facilities - sauna, pool tables, table tennis, xbox area and a few arcase games. So there was something for all to enjoy. The hotel also had nightly entertainment, whether it be dancing, singers - there was always something going.on. Our room was immaculate! We also had an amazing view, and the air con worked fabulously. The only flaws I have is that there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room - but this inst the worst thing :), and also, there is no room service facilities , nor is there any laundry service (although on the brochure in the room, it said it had?).
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday for 6 of us, kids aged from 6 to 18. Location wise, this hotel was perfect for us, 5 minutes to the beach and promenade, with bars and restaurants all around it, in a very nice friendly area. The hotel itself was excellent, rooms were clean, food was good with a decent choice for everyone, and they never ran out of anything whilst we were there. The pool was really good, lots of sun beds, lots of space, a good mix of sun and shady spots with a jacuzzi and raised sun terrace as well. The entertainments staff made sure there was always something happening, and were very friendly and lots of fun with the kids. The staff were all very good, they couldn't do enough for us, in all areas of the hotel. The only reason the Salou Princess didn't get the full 5 stars was the evening entertainment wasn't really what we expected, it was all pitched for slightly older customers. However this didn't detract from out holiday because there was so much to do in the surrounding areas. All in all a brilliant holiday, thank you. We will definitely return.
Traveled as a group of friends (22-year-olds) in early June and began fairly open minded.Postiives - - Clean and tidy with friendly maids.- Good air con in the rooms- WIFI is VERY good! Reaches all of the rooms and all of the pool area, so cannot be faulted at all.- Pool area pleasant with good scenery.Negatives - - Need a pool view or at second best a road view. Our side view backed on to other apartments and was below par.- Food is surprising abundant on the first night however, becomes repetitive after day 3.- Food was cold on a number of occasions which was not ideal.- Hotel is photogenic, however, does look tired upon arrival on the exterior.- Pool area crowded and at times not enough sun loungers.Location wise it is a five-minute walk to the beach in which you pass the majority of small shops and supermarkets which are nice to walk around during the evenings. The beach is fantastic with a great shoreline view. It has many decent bars and restaurants situated upon it.To conclude, it is a decent hotel in a decent area, however, does have the potential to be a very nice hotel with more investment put in.
