Rooms/ beds are old but very clean. The spa / day a is not always open. Monday all day closed andTuesday only open in the evening. The road is very very noisy and crowded. The breakfast was good, a lot of choice and good quality. I would recommend this hotel but I don't rank it with four stars.
Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, Room was a good size and in good decorative order, the bathroom was clean and wonderful bath nice and deep, Huge wardrobe with safe, and 4 power points,The breakfast was very good, and plenty of choice, Can recommend the bacon..Dinner in the evening was not included but they did a meal deal for 16 Euros which was 3 courses very good, and included a huge glass of wine,Location is great for tourist bus, but use the Blue Bus, Bus Touristic as it stop within a 3 minute walk, the stop is in the next road along from the hotel, as you come out turn left, That is also the quickest way to the beach. They will also print out tickets if you have bought them online,
We stayed at this hotel this weekend for 3 nights, have to say a nice spot to base yourself to enjoy the sights Barcelona has to offer. You should note that it is out of the centre of Barcelona, but we didn't mind the walk in, about 2.5k to Olympic Port by the promenade, lovely views. Nearest metro station is Selva de Mar which is about 10 mins away. (We took the train from the airport 4.50 € pp to Passeig de Gracia station swapped there and its another 2.10€ for a Zone 1 metro ticket to Selva on L4. (If you plan on using the Metro abut we bought a 10 trip multi use ticket for 10€ and used it up. We only bought one and used it between us, passing it to the other as we went through, it worked fine, not sure if you are supposed to use it that way though. 😉 Also if you are planning on seeing some of the sights by one of the hop on/off, we did the Bus touristic one 28/39 € per person for 1/2 consecutive day use. There are 2 stops on the green line nearby the hotel which is another option, although the green line doesn't run between November and mid March. The hotel itself was quite quiet during the day, it appears to be more business clientele, with hotels in this area servicing the nearby convention centre. The decor is modern, with a small bar that does a snack menu, opposite there is the dining area it isn't the biggest so timing may be advisable. Saying that the food was good it is continental buffet style with plenty of options, we booked B&B but it is 9€ otherwise. There is no pool, a small spa/sauna and a small gym however I found it locked when I went early morning and chose to join the throngs of runners across the road for a jog instead. The double room we had was modern but not the biggest, it was clean, with a daily maid service and everything worked fine. I had read others mention possible noise issues and although the walls did appear quite thin we had no problems. We could only find 2 charging points in the room and one of them is in the bathroom, which isn't a lot in this day and age, but knowing this I had brought a double socket charging plug, which lessened the issue. The hotel is quite small, so if you are looking a sea view or one with a terrace these could be booked at reception for 15/40 € per night, I would advise contacting the hotel directly as they would be limited. All in all we had a great stay in Barcelona and the Maritim more than suited our needs. 😀👍
Front desk very disorganized and unpleasant. Rooms so small you can't turn around. Sea View Room is a joke. You have to stand up to see the sea from the room. No place to sit except for the bed. So bad we checked out and has prepaid for our room!
Very good location, nice and helpful personal, huge bathroom and a "room" where you can move only sidewards, no fridge, no wardrobe. If you have to spend for some reason (rain for example) an hour in the room you should be very well organized people :-). I can imagine OK for business trips but no go for tourists.
