Very well located family friendly hotel, very helpful staff, reception area although very small but staff is very helpful. We were a family with small kids and reception staff particularly Miguel and Gema were very helpful. Provided us few crockery items and also a child push chair which was very helpful. Miguel was very knowledgable about local areas and restaurants and gave us good tips. My children really liked him.
Recommended. Loved this hotel-- especially the location. Was close to everything we wanted to do. Rooms were small (what do you expect in Europe) but clean. Loved having the friendly front desk people and responsive staff. Would stay here again if we traveled Europe. Thank you for making Madrid one of the best parts of our trip!
Awesome location Some staff. Esp the girls britneu and another in breakfast today may 19. Were rude. They need to have a seminar on hotel service and etiquette but then again maybe she just thinks am just asian therefore inferior racism is still string here haha. Anyway i was just getting juice for my early trip and she said i cant. Well i paid for it and its just juice. And she argued and shouted at me still. Tsk tsk tsk. Forget about asking for a packed breakfast. We all threw it in the trash too bad the hotel is quite nice have free bikes but the some of the staff need to be in another sector not hotels. Too bad i travel a lot and have a lot of groups
This hotel is well situated for exploring Madrid. It is very clean and the staff is very helpful. There is an excellent breakfast buffet and a very large, comfortable bar and lounge area. My only complaint would be the scented diffuser in the lobby.
We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights. The hotel staff is great and always willing to help at any time. When we arrived in our room, we could not pick up the wifi from any of our devices at all which we needed for emails/work. The staff was very quick to help and provided us a portable wifi device. Although it did not charge at all at start, the staff helped me to find another wire which worked fine for the rest of the trip. It also meant we had wifi to use outside of the hotel which was very handy! The first night, I couldn't sleep well as my ears are really sensitive to electrical sounds, there was a constant humming sound similar to a generator which caused me a lot of frustration. Upon asking a member of staff, they told me they had never had a complaint about this problem before but when they opened the back door (which was directly below my room window) the staff could hear the noise that I could. The location of the noise was not identified. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked for the night so a room swap could not be arranged, however the next morning I was promptly swapped to another room facing a different direction with no strange buzzing noises so I was much more happy. The pillows are very soft, I'm used to hard pillows so it gave me a very stiff neck on the first night. The shower doors are fixed in place with a gap to walk in therefore be warned there is a lot of water that splashes out (be sure to lay out the floor towel to prevent any slipping) In our second room, there is a cool piece of metal wired lighting right by the full length mirror, both me and my partner sat on a chair facing the mirror to get ready. I hit my head very hard on the light first , which my partner found hilarious but smacked her head on the light on the second day. Be careful when you stand up! The hotel does not have their own room service but there is a nearby sushi restaurant that they have collaborated with. I did not try it as there was plenty of food available outside, mercado de san miguel is directly opposite the hotel and open until 2am on certain days. Very convenient!! However I was very sick during the trip and around 5am I needed to take my medication with some food. My partner went to the front desk for me in hopes of buying some bread (as the hotel has breakfast so we knew they should have food in the building) fortunately the staff informed us that they have a tray of bread for the customers that were free to take. It was opposite the front desk with some tea and coffee. All in all, there were a lot of small complications but it did not affect me at all as the staff were all so amazing and always there to help solve any problems. Lastly, the location was also perfect, we walked to all of our destinations. :)
