Loud air conditioning, hard bed and daily replacement of room key because they rarely work more that a day. Also silly shower. If you switch to body spray you will flood the bath even more than you do just using the shower. Mold around the base of the shower. For some reason our room keys kept failing which is really annoying when you come in after a day of tourism and have to go down & replace the key. They also use a single, far too warm, cover so I had to sleep partly uncovered to be halfway comfortable.
This hotel is located in a central location in Madrid within easy walking distance of many attractions including the Palace and Cathedral. There are an enormous number of food markets and restaurants outside the door. Two supermarkets are steps from the entrance. A Hop On Hop Off stop is down the hill a short 5 minute walk in close proximity to the Cathedral. Our standard room, although not enormous, was spacious enough for our open bags and was well appointed. It appears to be relatively recently constructed or renovated. The large modern bathroom contained a trendy all over shower, the first we have seen in a hotel, it had sprays that could be optionally turned on all the way up the wall! There is a breakfast room in the basement, that by name sounds dingy, but is well lit and has a very trendy decor. Hot and cold buffet options are available and a plentiful supply of fruit. Great location to stay in central Madrid.
Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights.Outstanding location, very kind staff.Room is on the smaller side but enough space for everything for a city visit, shower cabin is excellent. The bed for me was not comfortable and the matrasse moved off the base making it nearly impossible to read in the bed sitting- but it is subjective, therefore not a key issue. Also cleaning in room was so so sometimes ( leaving dirt and dust there ). Breakfast is good but staff ( as said very kind ) is not enough I guess, dirty plates were not removed from the table until the end of our breakfast. Also breakfast room is small and not very comfy- but have seen much worse in London, Paris etc. All in all I can recommend this place.
Was very nice , the staff very helpful and friendly, i really enjoyed, Laura on the front dest super sweet, kind and helpful 💕🌻Super convenient location, close to plaza mayor ,a Starbucks in front of us , san miguel market in front of us ( we had a super awesome and fun experience eating and exploring this market) and every thing else around us on walking distance and fun ,a great small grocery convenient store on the left , our room was quiet and relaxing ,we leave Madrid full of great memories ❤️🇪🇸.Maria and John from Texas USA
Very central and just across the room from the best foodie market in Madrid! YUM! you can wine Nand dine there all day! The hotel is a little boutique-type hotel which is tucked away but so convenient to everything. Ask for one of the outside rooms. The inner ones are very tiny and rather cramped but the outer one with windows and a view are fabulous! The staff are very obliging. Sorted out my Wifi and other problems with a smile and lots of help. Breakfast is downstairs but a very attractive and tasty buffet. Bathrooms are well appointed and offer amenities.
