Good Hotel, clean and good service. We went in December and we had an apartment and it was nice and big enough..only a flaw: the position, close to the beach but far from the village. However, good price. I suggest
On first view this looks a promising place to stay. The sea views are stunning, it's location is in a quiet residential area with local buses right outside your door ( no sign or mention of the shuttle advertised) and despite language barriers some of the staff are very helpful. There are however negatives. Your room is very basic with few seats, few pieces or crockery and utensils and basically a kettle, microwave and small fridge. With tiled floors you hear all walking, furniture dragging and giggling noise, and if you are a person that likes daily fresh towels then that doesn't happen. Rubbish towels and a room tidy takes place every two days and with no phone in the room it's impossible to make requests without schlepping to reception. We had selected half board, a mistake as we found breakfast didn't offer vast variety and the cooked foods - egg, sausage, etc was barely warm. No fresh juice out of a packet and coffee from a vending type machine. After one breakfast we ate in the town and we were not disappointed. Be aware when you check out there is a room to leave baggage but anyone is given the key at reception with little regard for security so you risk losing more than your dirty washing. In short you get what you pay for.
I have come here with family due to a holiday being cancelled to Portugal so this was the only place within our budget. 1st impressions, looks nice from the outside with huge pictures advertising rooms and apartments. We had 2 apartments on the 9th floor overlooking the sea. They are a decent size but in the lounge or hall they have an interconnecting door to the studio or to make it into a 2 bedroom. They are modernise but the kitchens and bathrooms could do with a face lift. Kitchen have 4 plates, bowls, side plates and cup saucers, glasses and utensils. Basic cooking utensils and an electric hob with a combination microwave. The toaster looks like an electric fly catcher. The rooms are cleaned every 2 days with fresh towels and linen. However, if you have an apartment be prepared to have a lot of noise from people walking in the corridors on either floor and also from the interconnecting studios as you can heat the furniture being moved and people snoring through the walls as well as conversations. They lounge do have a flat screen TV but the only English channel is BBC news you may get something on the Disney channel and some American, Australian Dmax. That's it otherwise it's all Spanish. They do have a flat screen TV. Reception are sort of helpful. Now if you decide to stay half board like we did or full board then please take note. Its a buffet style every meal. We arrived on the Friday and had the meal in the evening. The soup is always hot for definite however we had vegetable soup 4 days in a row.As for the main courses there are usually 3 meats and 2 fish, but they do have sauces with the majority of them. Now theses are not hot as some of the pasta dish or pizza is the same, however we have been advised and seen it with our own eyes a microwave you can use to warm your meals up which is truly absurbed. Why would you want to heat up your dinner when it should all be hot anyway! They have chips every night, mixed salad, salad and tuna. A basket of fruit, some fruit cocktail with a pink or yellow sweet moose tape sweet and then their is the desserts as we have seen the same ones for the week. We have had some rice pudding a couple of nights but nothing really any different.Christmas day we had fish fingers, chips and carrots - very disappointed. If you went in separately as a visitor it costs €12 euros every night. Not worth the money. Breakfast the next morning and throughout our 10 day stay was the same. Toast, croissants or doughnuts, bacon, eggs (fried or scrambled), mini sausages, beans, tomatoes. Again it all needs to be heated up in the microwave as it's all cold. I did ask for poached eggs and they did cook then fresh. They have a basket of fruit, fruit cocktail, yogurt, dates, jams and butter, cereals (cornflakes and coco pops) tea, coffee, water, orange or pineapple juice. Again very frustrated, disappointed and if like me your intolerant to certain foods then this is definitely not for you as most morning I had some fruit or poached eggs but this morning just a water. This could be so much better if the effort was put into hotter food etc. They had a new years dinner party which we were offered to go but at €115 per person I believe that was a complete and utter joke especially after seeing the food for 10 days. Even lunch time was cold too. If your after a reasonable priced 2 bed apartment as dont know what the hotel rooms are like then maybe this is for you but I would definitely advised eating out. Be prepared in winter especially Christmas most places can be shut for up to 7 weeks. However there are too places to eat. Ollies bar for snacks and some main meals and Here @ last for a lovely British home cooked hot meals with delicious dessert plus they do a 3 course menu too and all reasonably priced too. These are on the way to Torremolinos and just a short bus ride away or a nice brisk walk. There is another place called The last resort which does a 3 course meal but this was closed so never got the chance to sample this. There are a couple of supermarkets one up a hill and the others on the way to Torremolinos. Fuengirola is a very nice place to visit and has plenty of shops and you need the M120 bus. For Marbella you need the M310 which more a less goes direct to the bus station but you do have a way to go to the shops and see the expensive chic shops in the lanes too. I hope this helps you all, otherwise Benalmadena is a very nice place just outside the town is a very nice place to visit.
Our room was spotless with a great view. I would avoid going full board in this hotel. You get much better value going full board elsewhere. Go bed and breakfast and you can't go wrong. Pool is a good size. Be careful in busy periods, as the pool is open to public and a few strange looking men were lurking around perving on the woman
Booked 4 day stay over Xmas period , FULL BOARD .... First day arrived at 11am , was told we could not eat lunch that day ... Our first meal would be evening meal at 7pm.On questioning this was told we could eat , but would not be able to eat on our final day ... Fine I thought , as we were leaving before lunch anyhow .So arrived with my children to eat at 1.30pm ( arrival day ) at the restaurant , to be point blank refused to eat as there was no food prepared for us , but we could have food if we paid . After a heated discussion with both lady in reception and man in restaurant , and also them shouting at each other over the telephone from room to room ... Still we were refused food , as although I had paid for full board .. My first meal would be evening meal despite the time of my arrival .... I Give up !!!!!!Customer services this hotel did not have !!!! AVOID ....
