Got to hotel access ramp to hotel steps to reception and next to steps is a slopefor wheelchair or mobility scooter, can be best described as climbing everest.Taxi driver pushed my scooter up everest and I had to climb the steps. The liftswere not always flush to the floor when stopping so every time I got in or out ofthe lift I had to get off my scooter and lift it on or off. I must say the staff didtry and rectify the problem. The meals were served in the restaurant but I wouldcall it a cafe. Breakfast OK usual English but you may have to use the microwavea few times. The least said about the evening meals the best, I would not wantto embarrass the staff. The pavements were not suitable for my scooter so I wasconfined to barracks, €3.50 a pint and €5.00 vodka& cokenot a happy bunny.
Arrived at the Flatotel on the 12th November 2016 for 4 nights bed and breakfast. Was impressed with the lobby decor and thought this looks nice. We were a little early and waited for a while to get room keys. Had a coffee from the bar which was very nice and reasonable (4 ) for 6 euros. Received keys and went to our room on the 7th floor. Walked in and it was quite a good size but very bland and boring. We were privileged to get a sea view but realised this was not what we had paid for. We booked through Booking.com and it was supposed to be a superior twin side sea view room. There was no nice decor like in the pictures but because we had my aunt and uncle looking at the sea view we decided not to complain. In the morning we went down for breakfast and the food looked okay. Looks better in photos than it tasted. Luke warm food that had to be put in microwave to reheat. That's not good for business. Glad we were only B and B because a couple of other guests said that the evening meals were worse! Had to make up my food intake outside if the hotel. The staff were very nice at the hotel and on reception. On our departure I asked reception what they classed our room as and they said it was a family apartment. Very tired in every part of the so called 'family apartment'. I cannot even see it when you go on the rooms to book. We felt cheated and would not recommend our friends and family to go there. I give it a very poor 3 stars. Okay if you want to just lay your head down and eat out. I advise if you go there then check you get the room you have paid for.
Nice hotel for staying in November. Half pension is good because there are several restaurants in the neighbourhood. The buffet is very variated : always fish and meat. Perfect location for visiting other places by taken the bus in front of the hotel. The rooms are clean and you have a fridge. The staff is very friendly.
Took advantage of a cheap flight to Malaga in November. Found an equally cheap deal on the flatotel. Not the best hotel we have ever stayed in but very clean beds and room. Our room 118 had a very tired feel. Bathroom definitely needed revamping. Definitely out of the way but regular bus service just outside of hotel and a lovely restaurant about 10 minutes walk away. We walked down to marina one day. Took us 40 mins. Staff very pleasant and for the price would definitely go back.
For the money we paid, we expected something clean and comfortable. That's exactly what we got here. It's nothing fancy, but I've stayed in far worse. I would recommend it if you get a good cheap deal.
