Overview
Situated close to the beach and the Torrequebrada Golf Club, the hotel is near the seaside town of Benalmadena. The apartments offer great quality for the price and are ideal for those who prefer to be away from the main resorts but close to all the attractions.

Location: Next to Torrequebrada Golf Club, Benalmadena, Costa del Sol

Aberage

"Average" just about describes this hotel. Reception is tidy and friendly, room is ok, basic but clean. We had a sea view which was nice, good quiet air con and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was not that good, low quality basic food, usually cold, very greasy, same food every day, aweful coffee out of a machine. Pool side and sun area is nice, well laid out, has a bar but drinks are expensive.Overall an average hotel, clean and tidy but well used and showing it's age now.Would I use it again?.... probably not.

Good value but bad location

If you are looking for a central location near the heart of Benalmadena, this is not for you. We stayed here for a hen party and it is about 11e into the heart of the town which isn't exactly ideal. The food at the bar is pretty poor but I heard the food in the bar, despite being the same menu is actually better. I got the burger and it literally had a flood of grease fall out when I picked it up and the chips were undercooked. The breakfast is very good but the service is quite slow. The cocktails are properly made (I would rather pay 6e for a proper cocktail than 2for1 and it be all sugar and mixer). The apartments are a very generous size and have at least one balcony with a nice view. They are clean and bright. If there are 3 sleeping in an apartment someone will be sleeping on a fold out bed. The pool is also quite small and I imagine in peak season would be very busy and the sun bathing area by the pool isn't huge but there is an area nearby. Wifi is also woeful. Overall it is good value for money but a bit too far out for me.

Great place

We booked through travel agents. Arrived around 10 pm. Greeted by polite gentle man. Allocated room number 106, oh boy what a clean, spacious apartment, good beds our 15 year old son was on sofa bed which is actually a king size bed. Well equipped kitchen with hob microwave and toaster. Apartment was cleaned twice during our 6 day stay, linen changed. It had huge terrace and great view. Few minutes walk and you have good restaurant and bars, good beaches. Only negative is we had some idiots living on higher floor who kept on chucking cigarette butt and water from their balcony without any consideration, complained to reception and it stopped or may be they checked out. Reception staff is very helpful and polite. Even printed our boarding pass. Arranged excursion to Gibraltor and Rhonda through them. Overall we had great time and we will book again.

Perfect for what we paid

We arrived 27th may around 9pm, greeted by a welcoming gentleman in reception. Room was amazing, freshly renovated and very modern. Same as everywhere ask for a double get 2 single beds!! However they were extremely comfortable beds!!! The bathrooms wow, i loved the waterfall shower head and walk in shower. The self catering, well not really self catering. A kettle, microwave.... no toaster so we ate out every morning which wasn't the plan!! The hotel is set on its own, but don't let that be something that puts you of. The 120/110 buses that stop right by hotel take you in to town and neighbouring towns for 1.55€ each. Taxi to harbour is around 10 euro... really i would suggest the bus which runs very frequently. You can walk, we did, will take you around 30/40 minutes to the harbour. 10/15 mins to closest bars (great Irish bar called Halfpenny Bridge). On arrival at airport we caught a taxi to the hotel which cost us 30€. On way back to airport we caught the bus to torremolinos 1.55€ each had lunch and then caught the train which cost 3.50€ approximately each to the airport!!! Well worth doing your research about local travel before you go as you can save a fair amount by not using taxies!!!! I would recommend a trip to Gibraltar, it was amazing. We hired a car, 65€ for 2 days. All in all an amazing holiday. Will defiantly return to Flatoltel in the future as its so easy to get around by public transport it makes it easy to access Benalmadena / torremolinos and Fungerola along with the airport.

Base to attend a wedding

We arrived before midnight to a warm welcome from the reception staff and were soon checked in to our room on the 8th Floor. We were instantly happy with our spacious room that had ample cupboard space, hallway entrance which included the bathroom and a balcony that we did not appreciate until the morning. Breakfast was a good enough choice and a bar to the side of the reception area had adequate provisions. My 14 year old daughter loved the pool but for a half term break, we were surprised to how quiet everything was. The pool side bar could have done with better staffing and there was an unusual "take" on their interpretation of popular cocktails. This just added to the atmosphere and especially my daughter loved this hotel. The view from our balcony was gorgeous and benefitted from the sunshine from morning until late afternoon. A taxi for two people to the Old Town was about €8 and if we'd had time to go, the Marina was in comfortable walking distance. The trip back to Malaga airport cost about €25-€30 for two people. Overall I think this was a nice hotel and for what we paid which was £162 for 3 nights including Breakfast, we were happy. The staff were very pleasant and House keeping came around on our second day of staying. Their was a hairdryer, safe and iron in our room and also extra blankets if we needed them.
