Nice hotel, we had upgraded to a Deluxe double room for a 1 night stay for our 1st anniversary, and also paid extra for our evening meal, only to be disappointed to realise that is was seafood, not something either or us like, so we ended up eating out, which meant that we actually paid for two meals that evening, very frustrating, could have been a better choice of evening meals. Overall happy with our room as it was clean and good size.
This hotel more than exceeded my expectations... listed as a 4* so you expect a decent hotel but everything about the place was fantastic, the room was enormous with a double balcony, really comfy bed, huge ensuite, the food was amazing, the pool was clean and well maintained, the hotel doesn't allow children so you can relax without having a screaming 5 & 6 year old arguing over which one gets the red ice lolly... (long story) I can't promote the place enough, what a fantastic hotel! I will DEFINITELY be coming back here! Far away from the town so you don't get all the bar louts screaming and shouting but close enough to walk in 20 minutes, or taxi in 4-5 minutes. Marbella is pricey anyway so expect to pay for what you want but it's well worth it. Some really nice restaurants close by, the breakfast in the yellow bar at the back of the hotel is probably the best attempt at an English fry up (I know your not supposed to when abroad, but with a hangover, chorizo and sweet bread just doesn't cut it) I've ever tasted in Spain. The beach is close, all in all, a really great Hotel and stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, and in the morning you can watch English tele in bed with a coffee, just so good! +++
Just on the outskirts but no more than an easy 10 minute walk to the main area so ideal. Road noise a bit load at certain times if you have room facing that so try and get one overlooking the pool. Breakfast really good (salmon added would be nice but there is everything else) and staff friendly. My third time and I will go back next year.
First impressions were good. Reception staff efficient and friendly, we were upgraded to a suite with a pool view which at first glance was very nice. On further inspection we found several problems - kettle not working, missing lightbulb, damaged laminate flooring, rust in the bath, inability to open shower screen as hand basin in the way. However we pressed on and enjoyed our lunch in a small courtyard at the back of the restaurant. Dinner was passable, and the evening entertainment was exceptionally good. Then a horde (there is no other way to describe it) of delegates for a seminar arrived and stayed for the rest of the week we were there. They went everywhere in the hotel en masse meaning they took over the dining room during the day and the bar at night. This is the first four star hotel I have been to where there was no dress code at dinner and there was a distinct lack of good manners. The noise on occasions meant it was impossible to have a conversation during mealtimes. To top it all the hotel was visited by 'working girls'! My husband was offered a 'massage' by a 'lady' in the lift and she was only deterred by the fact that his wife was waiting in the bedroom. So much for the security! This is not a holiday hotel. The guests were 50% seminar delegates and most of the rest were either groups of golfers, TOWIE groupies, or hen parties. Saving grace - excellent staff and evening entertainment.
Stayed here for 4 nights while on a golf trip. The hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Stayed in a deluxe single room that had a double bed, sofa, TV (with English channels and a mini bar). The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. A great location for walking to Puerto Banus but take care near the busy road. There are some good restaurants nearby. Breakfast in the hotel is great with every taste catered for.
