Had a lovely stay here. Beautiful hotel. Lovely food. Really relaxing pool area. Restaurant lovely. Not far from town. But very nice.the rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff lovely. Would go back again.
Think it's finally time to say something publicly about our horrific stay. Stayed here in summer with a group of 10 friends. Woke up the first day and went out for one of our friends birthdays, came home early afternoon due to illness to find half our money had been taken out of the back of the wardrobe and a suitcase which were both hidden and securely fastened. Took this up instantly with management who were no help whatsoever. Room had been cleaned and management claimed only cleaners had entered the room according to the keys which they refused to question as there was no camera evidence, even though there was no cameras on any of the corridors in the hotel. Spent the first day of our holiday at the police station and collection a police statement. Only method into our room was through a card which only the cleaners and managers had access to, suspiciously we found a spare key into our room the same day which had been left on the side of the bed, managers response was that due to the casino on site, cleaners had been trained to not steal from guests. This key was found after managers promised us whilst we were at the police station that no cleaners would enter our room for the rest of our stay without our permission, we also left the do not disturb sign on the door, which was clearly ignored. After frequently speaking to management staff about our money been taken from a secure hotel room their responses included talking behind our backs in Spanish, little did they know I am fluent in Spanish. I confronted what had been said and they were extremely embarrassed and said any help they gave us would have to be replicated with other guests with the same issues. This left us with no money to complete the rest of our holiday. Overall staff offered no help whatsoever and made us cry on several occasions with their attitude. We will be taking this even further as head offices haven't replied to emails and neither have the hotel staff who promised to keep us updated with the investigation.
This review is a bit late as we stayed in November 2016. Never the less here goes. The hotel foyer is absolutely stunning. The pool area is excellent and very pleasant to sit and have a drink. Didn't use the pool as it was a bit chilly but it looked easy to access and if it had been warmer would have used. Our room is one of the best we have ever had in Europe, very large with a sitting area. There were two balconies which got the morning sun but would have preferred to have one facing the pool as ours overlooked a car park and cafes. I think maybe the pool facing rooms would not have been as large as the one we were allocated. The hotel was very near a motorway but when the doors were closed there was no noise at all. There was a very good variety of food and the breakfast was particularly good. The worst feature for us was the walk to the sea. It took about 20 minutes to get there and was a bit hilly. There was a underpass/tunnel from the hotel grounds was unsuitable for us to use.The steps were steep and no handrail. There is a free taxi which takes you from the hotel to Marbella and picks you up again. Pedro the driver was so kind and friendly, he helped us in and out and recommended places to see. A superb member of staff. We enjoyed our stay but would probably try to stay nearer the coast next time.
I travelled to the Andalusia Plaza with my mum for a girly short break. I have stayed in many places in the costa del sol and with being an Essex girl of course I love Puerto Banus! The hotel has a lovely pool for sunbathing during the day. It is also a 10-15 min walk at most to the marina however we grabbed a cab for very cheap. It is also super close to the amazing restaurant and cocktail bar La Sala.Rooms aren't necessarily the most beautiful but clean, spacious enough and got a good nights sleep with no noise. We went a little before season in April however there were a few hen and stag groups, I can imagine there becomes more of these kind of crowds during the summer. If you are looking for a good value for money hotel in the heart of Banus with a place to catch some sun then this hotel will not disappoint!
Visited here in October for a work conference, and I soon discovered that if you are on the 4th floor, you've got a lovely, sparkly, large newly refurbished room! I however was on the 1st floor, with an outdated room, and a view of a car park for the same price!Negatives about the hotel is that there are only 2 lifts, which means when the hotel is full, you'll be waiting forever to get to your room. The hotel also seems a circle shape, so depending on where your room is, you might have to walk for ages to get to the other end of the hotel.Positives are that the location is great, and the lobby is beautiful.
