Excellent hotel could not fault one aspect of it. Excellent food and superb location for the beech and the centre of Puerto Banus. All of the hotel were staff were lovely. Used the shuttle bus service which was excellent and the driver was superb in directing us around the old town. Fantastic week will definitely return
Throughly recommended the metro stop is right outside and the airport shuttle buses just around the corner. The hotel is clean and staff are so friendly. Breakfast is perfect in the hotel with plenty of variety and the staff there look after every need. The hotel is compact and our room was snug but perfect for our couple booking. The hotel is five mins from the gothic area and from the rambla where all the crowds flock in the evening. Area is safe and plenty of shops around as well as restaurants. The is a plunge pool but the beach is 30 mins walk away or quicker by the tube. A very enjoyable stay.
We have been there yesterday. Very nice staff and lovely hall and swimming pool. Didn't like our room. It was dirty and smelly like u can see on pictures and not a 4* hotel. Bathroom ok but very basic. Best thing was the singer performing at night close to the swimming pool. Breakfast was ok but nothing special.
Well, where shall I start…my friend and I booked a ‘Privilege’ twin room about 3 months in advance and specifically asked for a quiet room with a nice view, however, we were given a twin room overlooking the very busy dual carriageway, it was far too noisy so we had to change to a double room which still had no view but at least it was quieter, although my friend and I didn’t expect to have to share a bed for 4 nights! Disadvantages / disappointments:Couldn’t access free Wi-FiWine in Privilege lounge was horrible and tasted like vinegar (and I can usually drink anything) - none of the girls we met in the lounge could drink it!Only nuts and crisps to eat, no other ‘snacks’Wine by the pool was also horrible and waiters were rude.Lovely pool area but the noise from the dual carriageway was sometimes very loud so it was not very relaxing. No Privilege pool towels left one afternoon so the pool attendant said we couldn’t sit in the Privilege sunbathing area! No waiter service by the pool, only in the café area.Difficult to get waiters attention at breakfast in the buffet to bring coffee to the table. Pool food looked nice but was expensive and no other options for a light bite other than the supermarket. No drinks available near Privilege sunbathing area, not even iced water, so you had to go to the bar at the opposite side of the pool or go into the Privilege lounge inside the hotel, but you were not allowed to take any drinks out of the lounge. We couldn’t get the Jacuzzi in the Privilege area to work and there was no-one around to ask, only the waiters at the bar and that was too far too walk.Waited ages for a drink on an evening in the outside entertainment area. We were constantly trying to attract the attention of the staff. Advantages / positives:The lady in the excursion booking office was very helpful, we booked a day trip to Gibraltar which was very reasonable and it only took 45 mins to get there.Hotel reception is very spacious, quiet and clean.Privilege lounge is very nice and often empty Balcony was nice and was sunny all day.Breakfast was nice with a great choice from the buffet with cooked to order eggs and omelettesPrivilege guests could have breakfast in the a la carte bistro area which was very nice at no extra cost.No kids allowed in the hotel.Twice daily turn down and cleaning service in the room and the maids were very nice and attentive.Other Info:45 mins transfer from Malaga airport but at least an hour in traffic.A convenient supermarket has just opened opposite the hotel which sells very good value wine etc but not yet fully stocked up i.e. no salads, sandwiches, cheese, meats etc.It is a 10 minute walk to the beach via an underpass which goes under the busy dual carriageway. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the bars, restaurants, marina and very nice shops.Summary, generally a nice hotel but the service needs improving a lot! Some of the staff need to go on a customer service training course. Not worth the high price but we were there in peak season - August. Paid £300 per night for the Privilege room (bed and breakfast) – way too expensive and definitely not worth the extra money. We ended up buying some quality wine for 4 Euros a bottle in the supermarket and sitting on our balcony.
We had a lovely holiday at the Andalucía Plaza. Nice hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. Five minutes walk to the heart of Puerto Banus, with its excellent bars, restaurants, night life and the beach. Recommended.
