Sol Don Pablo
- What's Included
The Hotel Sol Don Pablo is the perfect getaway base. Right on the sea front, good parking options and taxis waiting outside the front door if you need them.Accessibility is first rate at this hotel. I went with some friends who use wheelchairs and they couldn’t find fault with this hotel. Lift’s to all access points and flat pathways in, out and around the hotel. You can even rent scooters from the hotel if you have mobility issues. All main doorways are wide enough for wheelchair access and my friends told me the disabled friendly rooms are great for chair user needs.I stayed on a half board basis and there was always a good mix of food options, well prepared and presented.I stayed out of season and it was idyllic. No crowds, warm weather and a sunrise to make you understand what being alive is all about. I’d definitely stay at the Hotel Sol Don Pablo again.
Staying at the hotel was very enjoyable, and affordable I would say. The hotel is very well located, close to the paseo maritimo in Malaga, and has plenty of amnities at disposal of the guests. A bit disappointing was the cleanliness of the room, but I suppose one could complain on the spot, if staying longer. The restaurant and amount of food is also impressive; the evening bar is also very friendly and welcoming. Our room was big, and had an enormous corner balcony. The parking is not included in the room price, but there are spots on the street or even on the paseo, so it wasn't a problem.
Stayed here for three nights. The location is great right on the beach and close to all amenities. The rooms are spotless and the beds very comfortable. Booked B and B but decided to eat in the restaurant at night one night the choice is excellent and great value too. Will definately return.
went to beat the winter blues , the hotel now had a total revamp is fantastic, great entertainment each night plus things to take part in during the day if you want . The food was all good and plenty to choose from , both hot and cold. The town or area is quite dead at night as the area is closed but this said I had no complaints , during the day a visit to the town square was well worth the 50 cent lift price and good local Spanish bars all open doing Ta pas and most were free with a glass of wine, Bar andaluz , nothing to write home about , but great Ta pas and good food served all day
We arrived at the Don Pablo on 14.01.18. It is a popular hotel for several different nationalities and many people we spoke to returned year after year.Be aware that the Sol rooms are located on the lower floors above the main entrance on the inland side. We were initially allocated one of these lower floor rooms on the sunny side away from the building work, but chose to upgrade to a higher floor with a sea view. Be aware that there is currently a lot of building work and noise going on in Torremolinos, not only at the eastern side of the Don Pablo, but also in the street nearby and at nearby shops and apartments. The noise started around 8am until around 7pm.The main entrance is bright and clean and there are several communal sitting areas with quiet areas and television sport channels. The room we stayed in on the 9th (top floor) was freshly painted with a walk in shower, the beds were comfortable with a quilt on them and the linen looked new. There is a fridge in the room and the room was kept very clean by the housekeeping staff during our stay. There was free wifi with good connection speeds throughout the hotel. There were several English tv channels on the television in our room including BBC1, BBC2, channel 4 and ITV. The safe costs 2Euro a day to hire.Weather was mild and pleasant during our stay.Breakfast included Cava, fruit, cereals, breads, cheeses, ham, fruit juices and cooked breakfasts and the hotel also caters for a selection of special diets, including several different milks available Cabin crew were also staying at the hotel occasionally, possibly as the hotel is reasonably close to the airport (around 20-30 minute drive). There was an extensive choice of food at Dinner, including show cooking areas and salads.Indoor pool water was warm and there was an outdoor jacuzzi which several people used.We enjoyed the evening entertainment, there was a Motown singer called Randy Corwood, Acrobats and dancers.Daytime activities such as keep fit, Pilates, bowls, darts etc. were available to join in with no pressure to do so.We cycled to the Guadalhorce nature reserve and to Malaga during our stay and visited the Casa de los Navajos which is nearby. The promenade is flat and you can cycle from Benalmadena to Malaga.
