Lovely hotel, fantastic staff and great location

This hotel caters extremely well for the gay man, maybe not so much the gay women. Great facilities, lovely clean and comfortable rooms, good food and the best staff. Ideal location to gay beach and nightlife. We'll be back.

Surprisingly High Quality & GREAT Location with direct access to Eden Beach Club

WOW! We went to Torremelinos for a couple of days fun at the end of a trip to Cadiz & Seville. To be honest, I genuinely thought we'd be slumming it a bit due to the reputation of Torremelinos but the 'Adult-Only' Hotel Ritual knocked that right away. We got the airport tram to the main square in Torremelinos Town and walked five minutes to the Hotel Ritual. From the moment we entered the lobby we were impressed by the super-contemporary decor and furniture; I spent each evening waiting for my partner and friends sitting on the huge, deliciously-comfortable red sofas! The rooms were very nice, large beds and terraces with, from what I could see, the vast majority of them having a pool and ocean view. The pool was gorgeous and had more sunbeds than ever got used - the main reason was that just beyond the pool was a cliff dropping down to the beach; as a guest of the Ritual you were given exclusive access to a private lift to go up and down the cliff but the stairs are not steep and provide stunning views of the headland. The beach is worth a mention as the Ritual is directly above the Eden Beach Club which has regular gay parties but, to be honest, every day seemed to turn into a huge party around 5pm with a mix of tourists and very beautiful locals! It's worth noting that everything in Torremelinos happens later than you might expect; the beach gets really busy in the late afternoon (as does the Hotel Ritual naked roof terrace - make of that what you will!) and people go to restaurants circa 10pm to Midnight so that they end up arriving at the big gay drinking venues (Aqua etc) at about 3am - it seems ridiculous but the bars and clubs are just not busy until 3am though there are a few bars that fill up a bit earlier! That said, once you got the timing right it was as good a gay scene as anywhere in the world and that was another unexpected bonus from Torremelinos! Plus it's only a few minutes walk from the Hotel Ritual.Of course, if you have breakfast included in your room rate - we did - then you will want to get up before 11am to enjoy one of the best hotel buffet breakfasts I've ever had (and I've had a lot). The service is super-friendly and there is a huge array of good savoury items and quality sweet items... I've never seen a breakfast buffet that includes a glass fridge filled with fresh chocolate gateau and beautiful chilled carrot cake and that's just a tiny addition to the vast array of other pastries and doughnuts.Overall, I was really pleased that we paid the little bit extra that the Hotel Ritual costs as it totally transformed our experience of Torremelinos and we will definitely be back - especially as it is only 10 minutes by tram from Malaga Airport which makes it one of the most accessible hotels I've ever been to! Can't say enough good things about this place!

Very nice hotel with excellent service

We had a a very pleasant stay at Ritual. The hotel is very nice, it looks like it was renovated not so far ago. We've chosen for a standard room with a sea-view and we haven't been disappointed. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean and spacious as well. I think the guys forgot to place a door in the shower so we had water all over the floor in the bathroom, but that was not a big problem. They provided a towel for the floor. Unfortunately the cleaning lady had more work to do because of this. The room was cleaned daily, I wish the floor was wiped a little bit more thorough, here and there we had sand on the floor. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. The quality of food was good. I think it was enough variety for everyone. The drinks in the restaurant and the bar are reasonably priced and, to be honest, cheaper than in a lot of cafe's and bars in the neighborhood. The pool downstairs was cleaned every day and the quality of the water in the pool is also monitored daily. Ritual has a small spa that is complimentary. You have to pay only for the massage. The sauna's were clean, the bubble bath and the pool as well.I want to mention a very good service from all the employees of the hotel. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Thumbs up!!In my opinion the management should advertise more explicit that this is a gay friendly hotel instead of adult only hotel. There were a few kind of funny situations when some guest came out to the pool and quickly ran away by seeing the men or women couples :)Our overall experience with Ritual is good and can recommend it to everyone who's a bit open mind!

we stayed here mainly for the location but it was a lovely hotel, staff always friendly and professional, rooms and decor was good, the fact that it catered to the gay community if anything made it very relaxing and private. The guys on reception were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was spotless and we would really recommend staying here for your visit to Torremolinos

Superb hotel

Lovely stay in this new (Gay Friendly) hotel on the Costa del Sol! The hotel itself is classed as a 3 star hotel but I would put it way above most of the 4 star hotels in the area! Some reviews on here saying the beds where hard, which I initially thought also but I had a wonderful sleep on the beds, we had a sea view which has a lovely view of the pool and sea! Staff are so nice and attentive and all smartly dressed in resort attire. We have stayed in 4 of the 4 star hotels in the area and would most certainly return to Ritual hotel before the rest! It is an Adult hotel which is great for those of us who like to go on holiday and chillax without screaming kids running around, huge bonus! Access to the beach is so easy also as the hotel is on the top of the cliff but an elevator takes you down to beach level beside a lovely little restaurant called El Gato! (Beware of the cat Lola.... she's the boss)The pool area is very comfortable and great ambient music playing also!It is also marketed as a gay hotel but it is quite mixed too so wouldn't let that put you off! The spa in the basement is very nice also and free to use for guests too. Nice variety of food for breakfast in the restaurant. All in all the hotel is perfect and spotlessly clean with great music and fabulous staff! Cant wait to return to this hotel later in the year!
