Nice to stay for 1 night

Small rooms, poor breakfast. Good internet connection in the room, good location. It could be cleaner in the rooms, especially in the Bathroom. Thai restaurant on the first floor is serving till 11 pm, food is ok at relatively good prices Ok hotel for 1 night stay.

Very good location

The best of the hotel is the location. Close to the Central Station and close to the lake. It is just located on the main shopping street. Rooms are not big, European standard. But it is clean. I requested nonsmoking room in my reservation, but they made a mistake. They corrected it very fast.

Great location

This hotel is located only 10 minutes on foot from the main station. Many shops/restaurants around the block.Although there is no gym in the premises, one can get access to a great gym nearby at a discounted price.Rooms are clean and quiet. Nothing too fancy but good quality/price ratio.

Great Central Location!

I stayed at this hotel (booked thru British Airways) in September for 7 nights. My room on the 4th floor had 1 twin bed, good size bathroom with shower, closet, desk, 2 chairs, small bedside table, Nespresso machine, kettle, mini-bar, safe, A/C (a bit weak), slippers & enough room to move around! And free Wi-Fi. I had no issues with noise. Overall this hotel fits the bill - it is in a great location, 7-10 minute (easy) walk from the Zurich train station and 10 minute walk to Lake Zurich. Right off the Bahnhofstrasse it is very convenient to walk around the old town and to generally see Zurich. The breakfast was fine, selection of breads, meats, cereals, jams, juices, scrambled eggs & sausages (which were generally cold). Wait staff had a hard time keeping up with replenishing, serving coffee, and cleaning up. Not their fault they just seemed to be short staffed. They do have room service and a restaurant which is Thai. I ate at the restaurant 1 evening as I had a 10.00CH coupon and I thought the food was very good. One thing I noticed was that the room service had no traditional Swiss food it was the same food as the restaurant which was all Thai. One recommendation I have is that it would be nice to see some Swiss options on the menu even if only for room service! One morning I had a very early departure and wanted to arrange my breakfast prior to the 6:30 opening – I asked the day before and I was told that I could fill out a form in the evening and have breakfast delivered for 6:00 a.m. When I got back that night (which happened to be a Sunday night when all shops are closed) I was told that they could only give me a window of 6:30-7:00 a.m. for breakfast – this was too late for me. I decided I would push my luck with the train and get to breakfast when the doors opened at 6:30 and grab a banana, coffee and go. They didn’t have any bananas (this happened most days) and they didn’t have any “to-go” coffee cups. I was very disappointed as this meant I then paid 4.20CH for a very small coffee and 2.00CH for a banana at the train station. A bit disappointing when this is a feature that the hotel advertises and I was counting on. It would be nice if they offered a “box” breakfast as an option that you could pick-up at Reception on your way out. One charming feature that I thought was very clever was the mat in the elevator that has the day of the week on it in bright red (added a nice touch for my start of the day picture travel log). I would recommend this hotel as it is very clean, safe, and in a superb location – my top 3 items for traveling solo!

Terrific central location

Forget about taxis, forget about Uber. Walk to here from the railway station pulling your suitcase, check in, then use this hotel as your base to tour downtown Zürich on foot. Standard buffet breakfast of ham, cheese, croissants, fruit and cereals. The room was clean and modern. The one drawback was the Saturday night noise from the roof bar across the road; the loud music and chat started incredibly early, I think around 7pm, and never stopped. I had to use ear plugs to get to sleep at a reasonable hour. But being able to walk to the lake, the Grossmünster, the Kunsthaus and even the FIFA museum made this hotel a great choice and I highly recommend it.
