OverviewLuxury and beauty. Lovely gardens and pool, right on Grace Bay Beach. Beautifully decorated rooms, spacious with kitchen facilities and a large balcony or terrace. Minutes away from golf course and tennis courts.
Location: Directly on Grace Bay Beach, 20 min drive from the airport. Provo Golf Club 5 min drive away.
I love this hotel. The people are kind and really care about their jobs and their guests. The beach is pristinely maintained and outfitted with chairs and umbrellas. Both are amply available. There is an on site restaurant that is also good and has a fun night life. I always book directly with the hotel and usually get a great rate. My rooms have always had a washer/dryer, fridge and extra sink for dishes. It's easy to pack light and recycle clothes. I wish I could be there right now.
This was our 2nd stay at RWI's, early July for 2 weeks, and our 4th visit in a row to Provo. It's a more budget friendly option, especially for Canadians dealing with a not so friendly exchange rate. It's just a laid back, self-catering vacation, and just what we prefer. After our last visit we decided this resort is a little too far for walking to shops/restaurants in the July heat, so we rented a car from Avis for the duration of our stay. It was so much better this way! Easy access to shops, restaurants and grocery stores, and great for leisurely drives around the island.Once again we stayed in a 1 bedroom botanical. We just love the lush greenery and flowers on this property. It's very well cared for and they work tirelessly to upkeep the grounds. We appreciate having all the comforts of home. A full functional kitchen, washer/dryer, tv, seating area, king-sized bed, and a large patio to lounge on. Last year we had tech issues with our tv and wifi. This year was much better! It seems they've sorted out the glitches. We were in the building closest to reception, so maybe the wifi signal is stronger the closer you are.Grace Bay was as gorgeous as ever. We spent every day on the white sand beach, floating in the warm ocean waters, and walking miles picking up sea shells along the way. We also frequented the quiet pool. It was peaceful and steps away from our room. Most people respected it was a quiet area. A few people, not so much. Towels are plentiful and we asked for 2 each every day because they are on the small side. Last year we brought our own, but we forgot to pack them this time. If you can, bring your own and launder them in your room. People ask why we return to the same place year after year, and unless you've experienced Grace Bay for yourself, you'll just never understand.
We stayed in the Calabash Suite. The Calabash Suite itself gets FIVE STARS EASY. Upon arrival we were so excited that it was exactly as it was described. It was spotless, nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. The views....AMAZING. Everything you could imagine that you need for the kitchen is there (except for a large frying pan). Plenty of spices. There is a flat screen huge tv in living room. Also one in master bedroom. Bed VERY VERY comfortable. Bath Comes equipped with hairdryer shampoo, body wash and conditioner. The resort itself was good. The service at the restaurant was mediocre. The women working there seemed unusually mean and bothered. One of the servers tried to rip us off more than once by charging us for things we did not order, putting extra drinks on our bill. Then refused to show us the check when the bill was way more than it should have been. The male bartenders and servers were wonderful. I don't understand why it was like that. Kinda pricey but convenient. They had hobie cats, SUP (only one because a guest lost the paddle for the other one and they did not bother to replace it) and a kayak. We made very good use out of all of them. The Hobie's were so much fun. All free of charge. If you don't feel you can operate it by yourself, then they will take you for a tip. In Turks & Caicos, the main attraction is the beaches. All so beautiful I can't even put it into words. By far, the most scenic place I have ever been, and I have been to quite a few places. Not much else to do that will not break the bank. They were trying to rent jet-ski's for $170.00 per half hour. I saw one, ONE, jet-ski the whole week I was there. The snorkeling trip is worth it. They have a slide off the boat into the water. Diving board too. Nice way to spend about 4 hours. Very relaxed, no rules kinda trip. Very fun. Island Vibes Tours. Down the beach you will find a little place called Flamingos. Typical bar food. If you happen to hear of a guy named Raj the Entertainer that will be singing and doing Karaoke at night. PLEASE GO!! You will not be disappointed. He is the most amazing man ever. Voice like an angel and a huge personality. All in all, I don't think I want to vacation anywhere else. I am a true beach-goer and do not care if there is night-life, jet skis or any other commercial activity. This is a place to relax and enjoy the scenery. You can buy alcohol and food at the IGA and be perfectly content. Food a little pricey too, but, it's vacation.
So superior!! Far beyond on our expectations!!we will make this a destination for next year again. The food was excellent and the staff was unbelievable everything from housekeeping to the beach staff and information for the island !! We have no complaints for once about a place we have stayed
Our stay ar RWI began with fast and friendly check-in and continued flawlessly until five days later on checkout. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A number of tours were booked and all met our expectations. The food was delicious at the Pelican Bay restaurant as were the cocktails at the bar. The rooms were very comfortable and the wifi signal was strong whether at the room or at the beach. The star of the resort is the beach at Grace Bay. RWI beach is located almost exactly in the middle of this beautiful bay. The water was crystal clear and the temperature perfect. RWI is about a fiftenn minute walk from shopping anf restaurants and has bicycles free of charge for guest use. I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this boutique resort! Thank you!
