Seven Stars Resort
- What's Included
I don't even know where to start, so I will begin with THANK YOU! My husband and I came to Turks and Caicos on our honeymoon two and a half weeks ago. We were staying in a condo just down the road from the Seven Stars resort. 6 days into our vacation it became clear that the tropical storm most had written off had become a full blown hurricane and was headed in our direction. After 48 hours of desperately trying to get off the island before Hurricane Irma hit, we realized that we would not be able to get out (flights were oversold and the airport was going to close in anticipation for this cat 5 storm). My husband and I spent the entire day before the storm at the airport on standby (to no avail) and word from everyone there was if you get stuck on the island, Seven Stars is the safest place to go. I called Seven Stars in a panic as soon as I realized that getting home would not be possible. Belle and Ingrid in reservations immediately took my information and told me they would try their best to find us a room. By the time I came back from the airport that evening, they had a room secured for my husband and I to ride out the storm. I was so impressed with how quickly the team there mobilized their emergency plan. All the guests (even us newcomers) were immediately informed of all the plans management had put in place for the storm. It felt like I could breathe again knowing that someone was going to help us get through this. Ken and Grant, thank you for your professionalism, for your preparedness, and more importantly for your kindness. You put those of us who were scared and uncertain in such a better frame of mind prior to the storm. Irma hit us as a category 5 and Seven Stars kept every one of us safe and secure. The storm came through full force on Thursday evening, into the early hours of Friday morning. Would you believe it if I told you the staff (many who had stayed overnight themselves with family) prepared HOT breakfast the next morning off generator power for all of us?? Because they did. They worked tirelessly to clean up the grounds and get things "as close to normal" for us as they could. The beach was restored in one day and the restaurant/ lobby were up and running the morning after the storm. The devastation on the rest of the island was heart-breaking. I can't say enough about the quality of the staff at Seven Stars. They went through the same terrifying experience and had so much more to lose. The day after Irma hit some were still waiting to hear from family members. Many were preparing to go back to homes that Irma had severely damaged. Despite the level of stress they must have been under they were so kind to us. They were empathetic, reassuring and genuine. I am humbled by them. Team Irma will absolutely be back to celebrate and enjoy this beautiful spot and its wonderful people sometime in the future!!! Shoutout to Beatrice, Michael, Richard, Eric, Lila, Speranda, Jose, Alswine, Ranaldo...this newlywed couple from Boston appreciates you all more than you know!-Molly and Lenny Dercolo
My husband and I had an amazing honeymoon thanks to many of the staff at the Seven Stars Resort & Spa. The property was always clean and provided the most gorgeous views of the ocean. They even upgraded us to an ocean front room! We enjoyed two couples massages during our stay, which were excellent. The front desk staff was so helpful and always greeted you with gentle smiles when you entered the hotel. We did want to give a special thank you to some of the staff who made our trip wonderful. Our first encounter was with Andrea when we went to grab a cocktail at The Deck on our first night at the hotel. Andrea was sweet and friendly and she truly set the tone for the remainder of our trip. Such a sweet soul!Every morning, we ate breakfast at the complimentary buffet. There was always a wide selection of breakfast foods and juices. Even as a vegan I always had a variety of options to choose from. Every morning we were greeted by Beatrice, who was super sweet and attentive. She always asked us how we were enjoying our trip and made many recommendations on what we should do throughout the day and during the night. She was amazing! Throughout our trip, we often grabbed drinks at the bar at Seven before we would head out for the night. There, we were greeted by the bartenders Richard and Guylnaud. The drinks were ALWAYS PHENOMENAL and both gentlemen always took their time perfecting each cocktail. Both my husband and myself have been involved in the restaurant industry for many years, both having bartended for many years as well. We were BLOWN AWAY by the staff and knowledge behind the bar. We like to try a variety of bars in NYC and Richard made us some of the best cocktails we ever had! Each day we would relax pool side and enjoy a variety of cocktails and lunch items. For the entire week of our stay we were taken care of by Ronald. He was super sweet and knew exactly what we wanted before he even got to us. He provided us with excellent service during the length of our entire trip. Thanks Ronald for always making sure we had a cold drink in our hands and for being so pleasant. Saving the best for last- we wanted to give a HUGE thank you to the cleaning staff at the hotel. Throughout our entire stay we had Mahendra and Shante attending to our rooms. Every time we returned from the beach or pool our room was stocked with water, fresh sheets and fresh towels. Not to mention, Mahendra and Shante are some of the SWEETEST men you'll ever meet! Thank you once again to all the staff who made our honeymoon heaven on earth.
Good morning. As a resident of TCI I am writing this review post my Hurricane Irma Staycation at SSR. Myself and hubby and 4 other adults and a baby moved into SSR for 2 nights during the storm for 2 reasons..1. we were unsure of how our homes would fare and 2.we knew SSR was one of the safest places on island. I cannot thank the amazing staff enough...Ken and Michelle Patterson you do an amazing job. Grant Noble I dont think I saw you stop for a break during all of this. Food and Bev staff are rock stars as they had a hot breakfast ready the morning after that horrendous night and Eric from F&B who was in the stairwell on the 5th floor with us at one point during the height of the storm at 2am keeping us sane. Then a huge smile the next day pouring coffee! We didnt want to leave but alas we had to head home to face the music and begin clean up. As soon as the post hurricane work is all done and everyone is fed and watered and secured I am treating myself to a nights stay back there. Love Joan.... a little pic of my own house attached. Irish spirit wont be broken xx
My husband and I were staying at Seven Stars Resort last week. We were not able to get a flight out, and were prepared to ride out the storm. We were at the beach and I truly believe this angel appeared, and I was at peace and calm. However do to a chain of events.... at 11:30 we were among the few that were able to get seats on the last JetBlue airplane added for the next morning, and fly home. And The resort had minimal damage. It then helped us with our home in Florida, which was destined to get flooded. I decided to share it with others on the internet and said a prayer. You can Call it coincidence..... but within the hour, Irma went from a category 4 to a 2, Just wanted to share and hopefully it can help others affected from the storm though out the Caribbean islands and Florida.Blessings to all. 😇🙏😇🙏😇
I write to you now as I prepare to make my way to PROVO airport here at seven stars resort - after surviving IRMA....the most devastating Category 5 hurricane to hit the Caribbean in recorded history. Let me begin by saying our stay has been marked with the highest level of professionalism and tact over the last few days as hurricane Irma hit the island and passed....in my almost 25 years of law enforcement work in the "incident command system" I have never experienced a finer show then what was displayed to me over the last three days as this natural disaster hit. CEO - "Ken" ...and his Lieutenant "Grant" ... have stepped up in the time of need to not only provide for guests and staff during this hurricane but actually reached out and welcomed the community and guests from other, less sturdy, resorts during the hurricane to keep them safe. Brilliant humanitarianism. We arrived here as Irma was just a tropical storm hitting the leeward islands and never dreamed that it would start on a track to the Turks and Caicos set to destroy homes and flatten infrastructure. As seats on flights off of the island filled, my wife and I found that we could not make it off the island to find safe haven and we would need to stay here at seven stars to ride out the duration of this storm. As the storm approached, the amazing staff here at seven stars kept us informed and had an organized plan of how to proceed and gave us updates multiple times during the day. Let me just tell you that these three seven floor buildings stood as fortresses... easily surviving the 175mph winds that Irma dished to T&C as she passed. There was no safer place on the island to be- with power and cable TV being retained 12 hours into the storm. I actually slept for the last 12 hours of the category 5 storm sound in our villa. The morning after the storm, our phone rang and we were informed that they would be serving breakfast in the restaurant... let me say this again- SERVING HOT BREAKFAST... powered by their own generators the morning after a category 5 hurricane!!! We walked to the restaurant stepping over fallen tress and pieces of local homes and had a wonderful buffet of eggs bacon coffee rolls and huge fruit buffet- amazing- I felt a bit guilty sipping coffee that this resort had essentially gone untouched other than landscaping when it was quite obvious that the rest of the island was devastated. Within 12 hours the beach was fully restored, sand dug out and lounge chairs replaced- amazing. Many guests from surrounding resorts such as club med, beaches, goosevort, ocean club and grace bay club showed up to seek shelter at this fine facility... that speaks volumes.I could give many many more details but let me just say that I am now a category 5 hurricane survivor thanks to Seven Stars and not worse for the wear at all- if I could give this piece of heaven TEN stars instead of just five I would do it... but alas- five stars will have to do....To Ken, Grant, Beatrice, Renny, Nakisha and all the rest ...thank you so much and god bless- you are literally lifesavers- we can't wait to come back and spend some more quality time with you and the rest of the staff.... Matt
