Nice for larger families

My family, three adults and two children, enjoyed our vacation at the Windsong. The lobby was understated, yet elegant. The view from our room exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed breakfast at the beach in the mornings. I found the reef offshore to have an interesting variety of marine life, including barracuda and sea turtles. There was also a wide variety of coral, including brain coral and fire coral. Fortunately, the areas containing fire coral were cordoned by buoys and ropes so that they could be avoided.

Lovely for couples and families

A right-sized boutique hotel right, and I mean right, on the water by the off shore reef. Perfect for water people of all ages. Pleasant staff, restaurant has straightforward breakfasts and some very yummy options at lunch. Didn't try for dinner. Guest room was comfortable clean modern. All I ever need.... excellent massage at spa. Weight room very minimal and poor to no a/c which we heard from a return guest is not a one-time thing. Concierge is not particularly knowledgeable. You will do better with own internet research. We do plan to return and probably with more family.

Loved Windsong!

My family of 5 (including 3 adult children) just spent a week at Windsong from December 26 until January 2. We stayed in a 2 bedroom deluxe oceanfront condo. The place was beautiful; the view AMAZING! The good: luxurious accommodations, the view, sitting on the balcony enjoying the view, snorkeling the reef (we saw SO MUCH - barracuda, turtles, eagle ray, sting ray, lion fish, angel fish, schools of fish), eating breakfast at tables by the beach, the two guys working by the beach (Jeff and Carlson), the concierge, food and drink service at the beach, happy hour at JoJo's (2 for 1 drinks), paddle boarding and kayaking at the beach. Things we weren't happy with: there was only one hot tub and it is way too small plus it was turned off at night, the food service waiters could have been friendlier, there were never enough fresh cookies by the front desk, the rollaway bed mattress could have been higher quality. When we booked this resort we were deciding between Windsong and another resort. We are so happy we chose Windsong. Being right next to the Bight Reef was fantastic! People from other resorts came to snorkel there; it was very popular. It was very convenient having the various water toys available - paddle boards, kayaks, etc. If we ever visit Turks and Caicos again, we would definitely stay at Windsong.

Resort from hell.

We staid from Dec 24th to Dec 31, 2016. I will start with the only positives - our two-Bedroom Ocean Front Suite was quite big, but its downhill from there...Reception: We arrived early, around 11 am. The room was not ready, which is understandable since check in time is 3pm. We were told to change to our bathing suits “over there.” Where exactly was that “over there?” We were offered a water down punch and butler Khalil “showed” us the resort. We went outside, he pointed in the direction of the ocean and said” You can rest until your room is ready, maybe have lunch” and then went back inside. That was the end of our tour. Is there a hospitality suite for guests to change and/or shower? Nobody offered one. We changed in a bathroom behind reception desk, and went to the beach. At around 2:30 pm my wife went back to the reception asking about our room. Khalil and the rest of reception desk crew were playing with their phones and like deer in headlights told my wife that our room should be “hopefully ready by 3 pm.” What exactly does “hopefully” mean? If our check in time is 3 pm, how could the room not to be ready by 3pm? Way more customer service focus is required at the reception. They do not seem to know anything, nor do they care to find out. If I paid $21,500 for seven nights at a hotel, I do not want to deal with hopefully and maybe. The beach: It was my understanding that we were supposed to be offered bottle water, cold towel and sherbet once a day every day. Not ONE time were we offered any of the above. They have flags that were supposed to be put out for guests to be able to order beachside food/drinks. Those flags were distributed 3 time out of our 7 days at the resort. Concierge/butler service: My wife and I created a list of restaurants we wanted dinner reservations to. The list was given to the hotel butlers Khalil and Randy asking for early 6:30pm reservations because our children are used to go to sleep early. Around 5 pm we able track down Randy and he told us, that all restaurants we wanted to go to were booked until Jan 2nd and there was nothing he could do. The only restaurant that was available to us was Kitchen 218 in a neighboring resort, but the earliest possible spot was at 8:30 pm. The story did not sit well with us, and we called Kitchen 218. Not only the 6:30 spot was available, they were available at ANY TIME because there weren’t booked at all. I went back to the reception desk to complain about concierge/butler service and saw several people playing with their cell [phone again. Randy and Khalil were there. I asked to speak with the hotel manager and was connected to Anette -----. Ms. ----- assured me that she would investigate why Randy and Khalil weren’t able to help me with my dinner reservation and promised to get back to me the following day. I am still waiting for her to get back to me. My wife called every single restaurant Randy and Khalil said were booked until Jan 2nd and got reservation for 6:30 pm. None of the restaurants were booked. Not ONE!Food/Drinks: Drinks are water down, overpriced and not available. We could not order a mojito for 5 out of 7 days because the bar ran out of mint. The food was tasteless and a complete waste of money. Breakfast that was “included” with our stay was very basic and lacked any kind of variety. I mean they served the same thing every single day. How many times can one eat the same thing: oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bagel and English muffin? Service miserable!!! The fruit was never fresh. Oh, yes, the coffee hotel serves is atrocious…….Cleaning/housekeeping: the room was cleaned at random times. Any time between 12 and 6 pm. 6pm?? Seriously?? When my wife complained to Anette -----Ms. -----, once again, promised us to investigate and get back to us. Once again, we are still waiting for her to get back to us. As the matter of fact, the only time we saw Ms. -----, is on her “morning rounds” to the hotel bar ordering food for herself. She was like a ghost that appeared once a day. In room coffee pot was not emptied, floors were never moped. Complaining was a waste of time, since no one cared.I am trying to see if I can say something positive about the resort and I honestly cannot. This was a ruined vacation and a big waist of money. I have never been at a hotel with such a non- existing service. All staff is behaving like they are doing guests a favor by being there. Pity. I assume motel 6 would have more service than Windsong.

A must stay, great boutique location!

Did a girls trip and stayed at the lovely resort Windsong. Had a 2 bedroom 2 bath with a beautiful view. Very spacious and great layout. We were impressed with it all--meeting us as we checked in with rum punch, to Max at the front desk, Khilal as the butler (super helpful), our housekeeping services, Lucky with the ocean equipment, Olive in the onsite Spa...I could go on and on. If I had to look for something it would be the spotty wifi in our room. Jojo cafe had great food for breakfast and lunch. The entire resort is only 4 stories high and we were on the 1st floor but still had a very good view of the pool and ocean from the room. We were treated very well and would recommend this place as not a lot of condos which makes its better!
