Best Western The Cromwell
- What's Included
I had a single room, which was terribly small and uncomfortable. I found hair in the bathroom. My room had just three small windows at the top of the roof. For sure it is not worthy the price. The location is good, but it does not compensate the price and the poorness of the room. Next time I would choose another hotel. Breakfast was very good.
An economical hotel quite centrally situated. Small but adequately sized room with great facilities. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. A cheap happy hour of house wines and beer - £2.50 for a pint and £3.00 for the wines. Would stay here again.
We stayed here after trawling through all the last minute booking websites and were very pleasantly surprised by it. The room very small with only about a foot of space around the bed on all sides, a small wardrobe and dressing table - however this wasn't an issue. The bathroom was lovely, very clean, it had a good shower and was a good size. the bed was SO comfortable and it was in a fantastic location - right next to the tube and in a really nice area - not too noisy in or out of the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was brilliant! only real negative would be that the iron I borrowed from reception ruined my shirt with black marks and dirty rusty water marks, but it didn't put a dampener on our stay. I would highly recommend and would stay here again.
Hotel was very clean and tidy especially the bathroom, but the room, even by London Hotel standards was tiny, barely larger than a cupboard. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially foreign visitors and will never use for a stay in London again The service at the bar was very poor, we had to call for someone to serve and no coffee available when requested by my wife. Overall very disappointing
I'm one person staying in one room. The room was quite small and in the basement area near the pool and breakfast room. The bathroom only had one bar of soap. No other amenities provided. You would probably have to beg for shower gel. The reading lights on the bed really were duct taped to the wall. Now I can look past that because I went with a cheaper hotel and was looking for convenience in regards to location. I took a nap shortly after checking in and when I was ready to shower and get on with my day I noticed the water was ice cold. I thought perhaps I'm doing something wrong. When I called reception the gentleman told me that the boiler has been broken for a couple of hours and that he can provide me with a room to shower in but can't switch my room since the hotel is fully booked. He had no idea when it would be fixed and had zero customer service skills to make me want to stay. What really bothers me is that the problem was already there when I was checking in. They had not said anything and probably weren't going to until I complained to them. When asking for a refund so that I could check into another hotel he told me he "thinks" he can give me one, but the manager will be in tomorrow at 9. What kind of help is that? And where is the management when a boiler is broken in the hotel and supposedly 30 rooms are effected by it. Finally another receptionist was able to use her noggin and was able to provide me a receipt that my card hadn't been charged. Complete waste of my time. I'll have to go back tomorrow and speak with the manager just to ensure I do receive a refund. If you're looking to save money this is not the hotel to do so.
