Citadines Prestige London Trafalgar Square

Our OpinionVery good location - a short walk to Trafalgar Square or Thames River. Also easy access to Westminster and London Eye. The full kitchen facilities include a dishwasher, microwave and hotplate. A great choice for families or long stays.
Every time we returned to Citadines, we said how glad we were that we picked this hotel. We had the studio apartment with mini-kitchen and it was perfect. Close to many London sites and the underground and buses. Two minutes to Trafalgar and five to Leicester Square. Near co-op market so you can buy breakfast items and snacks. Adorable room. Very efficient and clean. We would return in a heartbeat.
Great room, comfy bed, clean bathroom. Small kitchen and breakfast bar. Loads of storage. Everything you need in a compact room with a great location. One criticism is they use a very strong air freshener in the bathroom which was over powering and gave me a bit of a headache.
Spacious reasonable price better if member and onlineBreakfast 1 morning bonus if bothClean can be noisy if near stairwells as staff bang doorsLocation is good for Theatre dining and river activitiesOverall great value for expensive LondonWe were on 7 th floor no issues faced street but some noise is to be expected
The only reason I can rate this location as very good is due to it being in the heart of activity in London. Overall the room is rather small and worn out. I understand that European hotels are small but while reading reviews and looking at pictures I was given the impression that it was larger than it really was. Walls had many scuff marks and floor always seem dirty. Bed was actually rather firm and comfortable. Would not recommend eating breakfast at the hotel. 12 pounds per person. Several places to dine within a very short distance from hotel for breakfast. It was not bad but kind of pricey for the food selection. The only interaction with staff other than check in and check out. When checking in I asked it they had a cart that we could use for shopping at a near by grocery. The gentleman at the front said that they did not offering anything like that. Then when riding the elevator up to our room there was advertising that said the hotel had carts we could use to carry our groceries. Confidence in staff was gone instantly after that. If asked if I would stay here again I am not sure if I would. I think I would really advise looking around to ensure that you can not find a better deal.
I stayed at this hotel last week with my husband and 2yr old toddler. We had chosen the hotel as I am very familiar with London having lived there for several years in the past, and knew the location was ideal for tourist spots, public transport interchanges, etc. We were also keen on the idea of a studio room with a kitchenette, allowing us to cook for the family instead of relying on eating out at expensive central London restaurants or relying on fast food for cost savings. The staff were lovely and helpful, the room was clean, perfectly warm with the cool weather and felt relatively spacious with the kitchenette. My only complaint would be that (obviously to keep their costs down) housekeeping is not included but charged at GBP15 per day, if you want it. We would happily stay there again as a good London base for those familiar with the surroundings.
