Our Opinion
Very good location - a short walk to Trafalgar Square or Thames River. Also easy access to Westminster and London Eye. The full kitchen facilities include a dishwasher, microwave and hotplate. A great choice for families or long stays.

Brilliant Accommodation Choice - Exceeding Expectation

This property is one of those places that is unexpectedly perfect in every way (well, except one). After a long travel in cramped conditions it was a total joy to find this place so conveniently located. It is found in a charming part of the city just off Trafalgar Square. That means that just a few steps away you will find so many necessities; places to eat, corner 24 hr convince store, a drug store, all manner of public transportation, a great place for taxies to stop, gathering spot for a number of city tours, and a gym right next-door. As others have said this place is within a pleasant walking distance to so many things in London. I was hesitant in choosing this property because I was uncertain if the apartment type amenities would mean a loud noisy family circus atmosphere (and cooking smells). In this case I would rate having the amenities OVER that of a traditional hotel. It was very very nice to have a place for a few comforts of home. The place was clean (no smells). The staff was excellent! The breakfast buffet was adequate (could use a touch of imagination) but otherwise perfectly fine. The ONE matter that prevents me from giving a perfect score was in the bathroom. Yes, a "deep soaking tub" is found in every room but the sides of the tub are high and narrow and not easily transversed. If you are elderly or have a bum knee (or both) it's just not a safe environment to find yourself. Holding onto the mounted rails and the sink for entrance is unfamiliar to me. While probably not a deal breaker for a return visit it makes me wonder why the designers of the property could be so remiss in this area. The rest of the property is exceptional.

Awesome hotel!!

I had read many reviews mentioning the location of this property, and like all the reviews stated, the location is PERFECT!! What an awesome place to stay in London! Our room was also perfect for our family. Very clean with everything we needed. We felt as if we were the only ones there. We never heard any noise at night even though it is in the heart of the city. Loved the kitchen and the separate toilet from the shower/sink area. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Must stay

What can I say but congratulate myself for choosing this apart-hotel. If a person is looking for an extremely comfortable stay at arguably the best location with the most friendly staff at a very reasonable rate, do not look further. Guilio, Angela, Peace and specially the handsome young man Tzvetan are the people who make you feel at home. Smooth check in with a smile and ever so helpful.....an advice to all fellow travelers, do take my word and stay here. We still have 2 more days left of our stay here but I could not resist writing a review. Thank you team Citadines.

Location great but will try another Citadines next time

We have been to about 4 different Citadines in various cities and like the apartment facilities offered in good locations. We loved the Trafalagar location - so close to places that we visit - including the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery. We also went to a jazz concert at St Martin's in the Field because it was so close and a wander across the nearby Jubilee Bridges gives one fantastic views down the river towards Parliament. However, there were negatives during our stay. 1. We always use the laundry in Citadines and know it is very expensive. When we were there, all dryers except for one were broken. (We did advise reception who said nothing could be done). We took it in turns to wait in the laundry room to see when the one working dryer was free. I was quite stunned to see that when it was emptied by a male, the contents were all Hotel small towels. Surely, it should have been for guests only - particularly when only one dryer was working. 2 A couple of the staff on reception seemed to have difficulty with English which was a surprise. When we have stayed in Citadines in Paris, the staff there communicated better - even though English was the designated second language. 3 The reception area had many framed pictures on the walls. When we were there, most of the pictures were "not straight" ie were crooked. I know this sounds a peculiar criticism but it is an indiction of the lack of attention to detail displayed during our stay. Perhaps things have improved since we were there but we're staying at another Citadines next London visit.
