Fraser Place Queens Gate
- What's Included
The review below is reproduced from my feedback on Facebook on their web page (reviews). -------------------------------------------------Following on my review, to provide the management a chance to respond responsibly, before I check out in 8 hours. 1. Water leak, noise issue affecting our sleep for 3 nights in total.2. Request for GM to resolve matter for 1.5 days but she never arrived nor called.3. Verbal agreement with duty GM for refund of 3 nights which ended up not being honoured by front desk.4. Front desk then informs that both GM and duty manager not contactible after 6pm. When asked to confirm this in writing, both refused.5. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. Staff leave you feeling like they have no integrity and do not mean what they say.6. Mgmt behaviour indicates they prefer to avoid the issue and hope you check out and leave the issue pending and unresolved. My advice: don't ever stay here.
We visited and stated for nearly a week and enjoyed every minute. We arrived very early yet with a smile and an easy welcome allowed us to take the room which was a fair size for London and had the washing machine we requested if possible. There is a room on the lower floor where you can use washing machines and driers. The room was very comfortable and a reasonable cost. It is very well situated close to Gloucester Road tube station and the many eateries there. We had breakfast outside but there is a breakfast that can be bought but we felt it was cheaper and better outside, we had a basic kitchen and could hear or prepare simple foods if we wished. We asked if we could leave a small suit case and asked if they could accept a letter while we are away for a week in Ireland, this they said was easy and part of the service. The bar is good with an outside terrace to relax. Great service, great price and great staff.
Booked through agent for 4 nights stay, requesting for high floor and open view. I asked for a room with washing machine as it seems that it is not a standard item in the one bed-room suite. But I was surpirsed that I was alloted to the lower ground when I check in. The pathway to the lower ground floor feel like a dungeon, walking down the stairs and all the windows were facing inside walls with absolutely no open view.I have been staying in many Fraser apartments in many cities and this was the first time I was alloted to such a floor against my request. The layout was even worse tfirst pass through a corridor and came a small bedroom, then walking further the corridor to find the bathroom, and then turn a corner to find the living room. It makes people feel like being locked up.We returned to the front desk to request for a change of room, but we were simply told there was no replacement. When I stated that I had made a request for a high floor with open view, the reception staff simply said the agent did not refer to them our request, otherwise they would be glad to entertain our request as we booked the room two months ahead.I was extremely dispaoointed at such a reply, and I do not believe that the agent would not have referred our request to the hotel as such requests were, based on my experience so far, were well received by all hotels through the agent. Then I told them there is no bottles of water and no slippers in the room, i was told that I could drink tap water in London. Though he bowed and said sorry that our request could not be entertained and that slippers would be provided the next day, not without surprise, there was none.I repeatedly demanded for change of room and finally they agreed to change to a room in the ground floor and saying that was the best they could do.Needless to say, the experience was extremely poor with this Fraser Apartment. But to be fair, my experiences with all other Fraser Apartments were nice and hoping that the central office would try every effort to upkeep the quality of service that accalims to have. But for this one in Queen's Gate, be prepared for what you might receive.
Another visit with my usual hotel. Again the hotel has a lot but some minor problems like lovely room, air conditioner ( thank god), location & facilities. Does have some minor problems like lack of attention to detail like shampoo, toilet roll etc. Needed to call front desk to sort it out. Suspect the housekeeping staff need to be trained better. Then again will stay here again
We stayed 5 nights, 2 adults and two kids. We arrived early and advised the manager. He was super helpful. Set us up in two rooms next to each other. Nice and quiet and clean. Room 108 and 109. The staff was courteous and helpful. And location was perfect. One block away from the underground subway, and from the super market. All in all a fabulous stay.
