Fraser Place Queens Gate
- What's Included
We enjoyed Fraser Suites so much when we stayed here for 8 days in 2017 that we stayed again for a week in January. It is a great place to relax after along flight from Australia, has wonderful staff and amenities, and is close to transport and many fabulous London attractions such as the V&A and the Natural History museum. It was a first class experience again in a spacious suite in a beautiful part of London.
I had wanted a serviced apartment specifically so I could do my own laundry but the dryer never seemed to dry 100%. Thankfully, the towel rails and radiators came to the rescue. When we had made our booking 9 months prior, I had put in my request for a shower instead of a bath tub as our son had a knee injury and with an impending surgery would find it difficult to get in and out of a tub.Upon arrival, we found that we were offered a room with a bath tub. The manager Mr Vijay was most understanding of our plight and promised to release a room with a shower as soon as was possible. We were there over the Christmas period and understood that bookings were full.We were given another room 2 days later. It was far more spacious and had 2 bathrooms instead of 1. (In the bookings I did on the website, the 2 bathroom rooms weren't on offer. I understand that there are only 2 apartments with 2 bathrooms.)The service here was prompt and impeccable with towels changed on a timely basis. The pantry was well stocked with utensils. We had enough to prepare simple meals here.We checked in earlier that we had expected although the check in time was supposed to be earlier. We could not check out later but the staff were very kind to hold our luggage including frozen food items. The service here is warm and lovely. The amenities provided here made our stay a very comfortable one.The location is perfect. Very near to Gloucester Road station, a post office, numerous restaurants. Walking distance to the Brompton Oratory, Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Harrods, Tesco, Waitrose etc.Thank you, Mr Vijay, for being so accommodating!
Booked 2 bedrooms apartment for 4 days, no slippers being provided as we are not long stay customers. Feel so bad to step on their time worn carpet, we bought our own at the end. The apartment is quite old with bad smell.
We had a great 8 night stay at Fraser Suites Queens Gate. The rooms were of a great size and the kitchen had sufficient equipment (although we wished there was a real oven instead of just a microwave). The rooms were always well cleaned too. Service was excellent with the front desk helping with all our queries, Vijay in particular was efficient and friendly. One thing that can be improved is the comfort of the sofa bed. The sofa bed mattress padding is insufficient and we felt metal bars pressing into our backs when we lay down. (The normal bed is comfortable enough.)
We stayed at the Fraser Suites Queens Gate in September 2017. Fantastic location walking distance from Gloucester Station, the Natural History Museum, Hyde Park and Harrods. The exterior and entrance hall of the hotel are very well maintained. Our room was nice, but tired. Marks on walls and missing a shower curtain in the bathroom. It took 3 requests over 2 days to have someone replace it. On the first day when we checked on our request the staff from behind the front desk kept questioning whether we were actual guests of the hotel - definitely tainted our experience. The room itself was quiet even though it faced onto busy Cromwell Road.
