Stayed 4 nights in February 2017. The hotel is in a great location for a citytrip to London. We had a nice welcome with a complimentary drink. We were a bit early so our rooms weren't available yet, but they stored our luggage so we could hit the town early.we had a nice, clean room and the breakfast was very rich in choice. We also had dinner in the hotel's restaurant which has very nice mediterranean food. The sky lounge gives a nice view over the London Eye.Definitely going back here if I'm coming to London again.
The location is very close to the Waterloo station which is so convenient for transportation. Pretty much you can do street walking if you prefer, very close to the London eye and Westminster area. The hotel serve excellent meals from breakfast to dinner. The staff are friendly and accommodating, especially to them ( Charmaine Concepcion & Morgan). Thanks to all of you and I'm surely going to book again and would gladly recommend this hotel. I had a wonderful experience. Thank you.
I know that sounds odd, however you really notice the smell when you walk in. Very pleasant and gives you confidence they have pride in cleanliness and quality. Room was adequately sizeable with amazing views of the London skyline. Enhanced by having a drink in the bar and using the roof terrace. Breakfast selection was very good, all be it we were late so probably not as fresh as when you would normally arrive. All positive and staff amazing!
We were gifted a Red Letter experience for the tapas meal, as it was our wedding anniversary we decided to stay at the hotel for the evening. Bitterly disappointed with the whole experience. We'll start with check in. We arrived early knowing we couldn't check in until 3 but wanted to leave our bags so we could explore London. The lady on reception offered us check in there and then to save time later which was great. However when we gave our name we were asked if we wanted a twin room (we are a married same sex couple) so we said no thanks a double, it was re-iterated again "so you want a double bed not twin?" Yes we said, a double. Now .... I was always under the impression that our capital was a multi cultural modern times place to be!!! I can honestly say I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life!! This was further highlighted when we returned later in the day to pick up our room keys and noticed that every other guest in reception was offered a complimentary drink (cava, water, orange juice) but we weren't, so I ended up asking for ours and again made to feel uncomfortable. Clearly lesbians are excluded from the free drink! The room - ermmmm nice, basic but nice. We paid extra for a "city view" and while we could see the city we didn't have a birds eye view of the oxo tower, London eye etc but we had seen them during the day so wasn't too bothered. The room appeared to have recently been refurbished however the attention to detail was somewhat lacking. The paint cutting in around the walls was shoddy, wire hanging from bottom of tv, not painted completely around the plug sockets, curtains had a gap at the bottom (we used some of the pillows to block out the light), the underside of the bathroom counter top had a lot of watermarks, dirty towel... There's quite a list! The bed (the double!!!!) was comfortable and the area was quite so we did have a good nights sleep. We had a cocktail (which was tasteless) on the roof terrace. Nice area with blankets provided which was a great. On check out we were asked if we enjoyed our stay. I replied "it was alright". I work in a customer facing position so had purposely said what I had in the hope that they would pick up on this and ask... But they didn't. My overall impression of the hotel was so disappointing, I would never stay here again.I have noticed that that there seems to be a generic response to any negative feedback left here in that "feedback is important". I am very interested to see the response to my comments and look forward to discussing them further.
Very friendly staff. Enjoy a stay in southern Thames region, with a modern feel. This is an ideal location for a short walk to Big Ben & The London Tower Bridge. Close to Elephant & Castle Station; can reach all of London within about 10 mins via Underground. Bus Station located outside the hotel as well.
