I fly quite a lot for business and this trip in London was another one staying at Hilton London Metropole. The hotel is a genuine Hilton brand hotel with very standard features following the pattern but with very good bed and shower, what's more important than anything. Also, the breakfast, an authentic British one, has a ultra friendly staff. Shout out for Mrs. Juliet Hammon and Maria, they are very special, unique, and make us to feel so much better! I would bring my family here!
It doesn't matter which room you stay in, this hotel is surrounded by noisy roads and sleeping will be a problem ( see the view picture)Also in cold weather the air con does not heat the rooms, so 19 C is too cold for me I'm afraid.There are better hotels in London and for a Hilton this one is pretty shoddy.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, got a shabby room, but I have heard they do have better rooms too. My room desperately needed renovating. The heating did not work properly, so I needed 2 blankets. As I complained at the reception about the heating, they sent someone to fix it. It was a bit better, but still not good enough. I realized the room was not heated for a long time, that is why it took more than a day of a bit improved heating to feel better, but still, it was not good enough. When I went to the restaurant for breakfast I have been asked for my room number and my last name. Apparently they have mixed up my first name and last name and they were very rude to me, immediately starting the interrogation as if I was a serious criminal. On my second day they took away the used towels out of the bathroom, but they did not bring fresh ones. As I asked for fresh ones, I got them delivered to the room and left on the suitcase stand! Really a good place for storing clean towels. As I was leaving really early, I wanted to settle my bill the night before. But they asked me to do it in the morning because the receptionist was not sure how to do it in the system. When I asked to talk to the reception manager, he came and did it. I mentioned they have treated me really badly at the hotel and according to the manager, I was not complaining enough. According to him, I should have told them more than 2 times the heating was not working properly and he offered a small heating body delivered to my room. I did not accept it because I think it is dangerous. He also offered moving to another room, but I was too tired to do it.
I wasn't happy with this hidden charge upon arrival and booking.com didn't have it written that gave to pay upfront 30@pound per day then my room the bed was terrible self verybad the room had a hole in the front 1521 and woke up my room was wet on widow that terrible for 5star hotel and the highly priced rates .theie breakfast was mess
A group of five friends stayed overnight. What a great deal we got, amazing. This hotel is Hughe, there's something for everyone ....our room was very clean and spacious, would definitely use this deal again.
