Holiday Inn Oxford Circus
- What's Included
This is Not my 1st stay in this hotel, I choosed it again because of it's proximity to shopping areas ( oxford circus street, regent street ) and many interesting places is a walking distance from the hotel ( Hyde park, marble arch, Piccadilly Circus, Edgware road evern Harrods is 20 min walking distance ).also we were treated so well in our last stay, as one of the benefits of being a IHG member, is upgrading your room according to availability, when we arrived, the hotel was so busy the reception couldn't give us our room and couldn't upgrade it as well and we waited for an hour before we can get it, we were accommodated in tight small room that I didn't like at all, I asked " Marcin " at the reception to change it but there was no possibility as the hotel is fully booked and he promised me that he will try to do his best to find a better room next morning, and he did .. We moved next morning to a so much better room and during the moving I left my wedding ring and a gold ring in the bedside drawer but thank God the the housekeeper found them and handed them over to Zawdita the head of housekeeping she kept them and when I discovered that I left them I called the reception and they assured me that no need to panic they found my stuff and they are safe.what a relief. Our new room was in the 6th floor with a nice city view which really made my day, Thanks Marcin for putting my request in consideration, and Thanks a lot Zawdita and the housekeeping team, this hotel will always be my home when ever I come to London
I paid 160 pounds for a tight bathroom and average room. Not very nice. The noisiest hotel I've ever been to. You can hear everything inside the hotel and outside, all day and night long. I was almost forced to leave a credit card hold even though I was paying cash. I had to say no three times so they wouldn't force me to. I was about to leave when they stopped. This is not the right way to treat customers. Without them they would be out of business, They should thank for the money they receive. I'm upset about the change in the prices all the time. They should have the same price. They are always trying to get more. I think people should start to negotiate what they can really pay. These hotels do not re-invest in making the stay more comfortable, the rooms nicer or the guest welcome. They clearly just want their money and conditions 100% comfortable for them.
Arrived after a long day of traveling on July 8th. Our first impression was "what a great location"! Location is this venues only asset. Upon check-in we asked for a recommendation for dinner. Only place mentioned was where the Clerk worked, three blocks away. Later on we discovered St. Christopher's Place, an alley housing 50 shops & restaurants... one block away! The rooms are small. The air conditioning was wasn't working well. The maids block the hallways with the carts. The bartenders are disinterested in serving the hotel's guests and it takes forever to get a taxi at this location.Next time I'll stay at a hotel with an average location.
I stayed here with my three kids for a week whilst we were on holiday. We had breakfast everyday in the hotel; it was the same food everyday even thought the price of the breakfast was quite expensive. Additionally, the air conditioning in my room made noises when it was turned on which really affected our stay due to the loud noise from the air conditioning. This hotel is handy however as it is located in the middle of Central London with Bond Street Station being the closest station to this hotel which was convenient for my family and I were travelling everywhere, mainly using the London Underground
I went here in June for 2 nights with my Mother in Law. The location couldn't have been more perfect for Oxford Street shopping. It is also an ideal spot for the Hop on/Hop off bus tour (which I didn't get). We stayed in Room 492 (if I can remember). The room was okay. Well kitted out but the bathroom was very dated. The handle and lock on the door was one of those circular ones and lock. I had to call the house keeping once to unlock the door, but it was giving us no end of trouble for the 2 days. There was also a door saddle on the entrance to the bathroom which we kept tripping over. The staff were wonderful and very friendly and the main area was clean and tidy.
