All staff were great! Especially Reception manager Michael is the best manager I have ever met. He is kind, professional and helpful. Hotel is in great location, very clean room. I have heating problem. I called and maintenance came in short time and fixed the problem instantly.
Clean and functional, but a tired, dated property.Rooms are OK in size, but no toiletries supplied and shower gel is from a pump dispenser. Breakfast is OK, typical English buffet with hotel food drying out in bain-maries.Bar tries hard but doesn't quite make the grade of a typical old English pub that it tries to be, about 500m from W Brompton tube station
this isn't an issue to me, it just wasn't what i was expecting in such a posh area of London. the reception is nice though and there was a bar there too, a 'trying to look like an old country pub' type but all fine. the staff were friendly and helpful and everywhere was clean. we didnt opt for breakfast because there were plenty of cafe's and shops on the road. it was easy to walk to london centre from there (approx 35 minutes stroll) and there is also a car park which was £17 per night for hotel guests and its underground so nice and secure.
Stayed for 3 nights - Easy to find , A little out dated , but I had a great view looking out over the Earls Court new development. No fridge ? - I had an early breakfast each morning at 5.30am , Enjoyed the breakfast , Had two poor meals at the pub on level 1 - Would not recommend ..Poor standard of food but would stay & recommend the Ibis London Earls court hotel - Thanks
It has to be said that the price for a room at this hotel is quite cheap. I suppose that the old saying 'you get what you pay for' rings true here. There is a large on site car park, which is not cheap, but its very convenient. The main reception area is quite pleasant. Booking in was easy. However, the corridors and rooms are dated and in need of quite a bit of work to bring them up to present day standards. The beds are comfortable. A huge plus is a window that can open (too many modern hotels don't have these). The bathroom was clean and functionally ok.There are tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, but no fridge. The wifi worked well.On the basis of the above, the hotel would have earned a 3 star rating. However, the breakfast was the most chaotic hour I've ever spent in a hotel. The queue to get into breakfast was constantly about 40 people long, with a 15 minute wait. Tables weren't being cleared. Cutlery was sparse (I ate my cornflakes with a fork). Staff didn't seem overly bothered. The noise level was very high. This has brought the rating down to a 2 star.
