Nice location, a five minute walk to Hyde Park. 4 star facilities. Beautiful, bright rooms with large windows.
Situated in a quiet location, Kensington Close hotel is in the heart of Kensington, convenient to the prestigious shops of High Street, and only a five-minute walk to the tube. Close to Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace, it is an ideal choice for leisure and business guests. The Health Spa is a superb luxury health and fitness club available to guests which includes an 18-metre heated swimming pool, beauty treatments and gym.

Good experience

We stayed there for 3 nights and I have to say it was a pleasant experience. Rooms were small but comfortable, clean, quiet and lovely. Friendly staff, the hotel is very busy but we were well looked after. As we arrived early and the room was not ready we left our luggage with the concierge and went off to start exploring London. The only surprising thing was a refundable deposit we had to pay on arrival (£50 per room per night) something that I have never come across before (and you could tell that most people checking-in at the same time didn't know about it). You could pay with credit card or cash. Great location, in the middle of the city and great access to the tube. We did not have breakfast or dinner in the hotel but surrounding are has great spots for breakfast - Billy's at the tube station is AMAZING! Gym is free, you have to pay £10 to use swimming pool.To sum this up - I would recommend this hotel and would go back there if ever in London again.

Average hotel, expensive, and no double bed!

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Kensington on Friday 17/03/17 with my fiancé. Upon arrival, we were told we had to pay a £50 security deposit for the room which we weren't told about when we booked our room. The next morning we were told the money was going back into our account - still no money! We phoned up the hotel yesterday and were told that it would actually take 5-7 days for the money to go back into our account! Quick to take our money, but paying it back is another thing! We booked a double room with pictures clearly showing one double bed, however when we got to our room there were two single beds pushed together with separate bed sheets and two single duvets! Also, there were refurbishments going on near us so lots of banging and noise from nearby. In the morning a cleaner tried to force entry into our room even though we called out to say we were getting dressed. Luckily, we had put the catch on the door, but the door was opened quite wide and we could see the cleaner standing there! One of the lifts was not working either, so this meant lengthy waits for the lift or walking up flights of stairs. Plus sides were fee wi-fi, friendly staff in general, great places nearby. Bedroom was also clean and we did enjoy watching TV in bed... Well, separate beds!

Second Night room was fab

The first night we arrived it was obvious some rooms were refurbished and others not. I was lucky and received a refurbished room but it was Bijoux. We were upgraded on the second night to a much larger more comfortable room which we greatly appreciated. There are a lot of stairs but there was always help on hand to carry the cases up and down. Staff were very attentive. the position for Olympia is wonderful and the tube station is a five minute walk.

Tiny rooms but clean

Spend the weekend in this hotel. Tiny and clean room. Bed ok. We didn't eat breakfast or dinner. There are many good breakfast places on Kensington high Street. "The Ivy" we can recommend. The restaurant menu is very boring and don't even have steak on the menu. Which is very strange for an international hotel. Staff seemed very stressed and unprofessional. ( no British staff at all)Overall if you only need a room this is a good place central on kensington. But do not expect anything more. Ps lift didn't work. And pool you pay extra.

Poor communication from staff, not so affordable.

My girlfriend and I (both young students) have recently visited London for a week's holiday and decided to stay here due to the convenient location and "affordable" price.Little did we know, that upon arrival we were notified with a £50 deposit per night for the room which was to be paid upfront (the room was paid for in full 2 weeks prior). We stayed for 4 nights and by that point there was a fair chunk of the travel money spent solely based on this deposit.Upon check-out, we were notified that the money would be released straight into my account which hasn't been the case.After 2 weeks I am still waiting to receive the money despite the constant emails, numerous calls and information given which seems to be rather false. I was told it would be released within 2-3 days by 2 members of staff but 7-10 by 2 others.So, if you're looking for a budgeted holiday, make sure you plan ahead for this place.Aside from that, the room was quite small however the customer service (inside the hotel), facilities and convenient location were all quite good. However, customer communication in regard to policies needs to be improved upon if we are to return.
