The hotel is ideally situated for a lot of visitor attractions in London (we were attending the Chelsea Flower Show)The room we were given (I thought we had booked a deluxe double room) was an ordinary double room!!!The room itself was rather small - the bathroom was half the size of the room. The room was very cleanThe shower over the bath had very little water pressureOne criticism of the set up with the bath shower was that we had difficulty getting in and out of the bath due to the shower screen door folding into the bath!!!!Very nice shower gel and shampooStayed at this hotel last year - will most likely book againPeter A Haigh
Hotel is very poorly signed. Both a cab driver and shuttle bus driver had difficulty finding the front entrance, as did we when we first approached on foot. Lobby is comfortable and air-conditioned. Room (203) was small as expected, but adequate. Quiet room, no view. Hotel safe and mini-fridge were positives. Bathroom was so tiny the toilet was almost right underneath the sink. Shower was decent. No facecloths, which we found odd. Ditto Kleenex. Went and bought our own. Bed was "creaky" but otherwise comfortable. Air conditioning was not very good, but we were there during a heatwave. Restaurant had a nice breakfast of fruit, muffins, toast, juices, etc. Full breakfast could be ordered for 7.90 gbp. Hubs ordered that twice. Servers during breakfast were excellent. This hotel is not suitable for anyone who has mobility issues. Stairs to enter front entrance, no other option evident. Elevator is so small only one person fits with a suitcase, otherwise two max. Hotel has free wifi which is important. Departure: We requested a wake up call at 04:00 as we had an early shuttle booked, we never got a call. Same with another couple in the lobby. When we told the manager we didn't get a call, he said "there is nothing here" even though we made the request the previous day, in person, and saw (another) gent write it down. No apology, just a denial and no "thanks for staying with us." I expected better.
Hotel has an excellent location Very close to subway . Reception staff very nice and friendly plus excellent indian restaurant on site. But .... rooms veeery small , not too comfortable , need some refreshing . Anyway - you do not come to London to stay in the hotel . Good location for a few nights .
I chose the hotel for its location which is right opposite Gloucester Road tube station. We checked into a family room but it was not large enough for our family (3 children) but the hotel immediately upgraded us for a minimal amount. Breakfast was ok, room clean but aircon was a bit annoying (loud ticking noise) - Room 510.
A hotel run by indians with indian cousine restaurant. Although it is very clean (thanks to the Eastern European immigrants), the interior is extremely kitsch, cheap and blink-blink ; the walls are made of paper, I could hear every step and word of people in the corridor, so couldn't sleep at night. The bathroom is 2,5sq.m, so need to open the door if u need to use the sink. No hair drier. Hate when business acts cheap with you, makes you feel humiliated: here the receptionists told us to come for breakfast until 9:30, asked for the room number as usually at the entrance to the restaurant, let us eat and then in the middle of eating sent a girl (no courage here! ;) to tell us breakfast is not included and we have to pay 7,90 per person. a) this breakfast us worth 2 pounds max b)we had to wait for it for 20min!with other guests to enter the restaurant as the place too busy. Very unfair and humiliating. Moreover we paid 140 pounds per night, paying just for the location, so our advice would be to search for smth further in the second or third zone. Of course the trip via tube will take you 40min instead of 20, but at least it will be a decent hotel!
